No regrets!”
Our first time visiting Charleston and so glad we chose Belmond Charleston Place for our stay. It was in a perfect location to amazing restaurants and shopping. The staff was refreshingly kind and helpful. It has been a long time since we stayed in a place where they remember your name and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed in a regular double room with no special view and we felt like we were in an upgrade. The pool and pool bar were beautiful. Chris at the pool bar was helpful and made great drinks. We can not wait to go back!!

The Charleston Place is our favorite hotel in Charleston. We visit twice per year. The atmosphere is lovely. And the staff is top notch! Definitely recommend for locals or for those afar. They won't be disappointed.

The only place to stay ”
This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We stayed in club level and it was worth every penny. Granted it was a lot of pennies but the Club was excellent and super convenient. Great food and drinks included. The staff was so good and highly professional. We will surely go back.

Beautiful hotel! Beautiful spa! Perfect location in downtown Charleston! Unfortunately, the beds and pillows did. Or meet our expectations and the thermostat did not adjust below 72, so it was not a comfortable nights sleep.

Not worth the money ”
Very center location, food was good. Pool and roof garden were beautiful. But looks like need some renovation done. Peeling roof and wall all over the pool and spa area. More for business than for family with kids.

Disappointed”
We did not feel that the cost was worth the experience. My bed was in rough shape and in the form of a horse saddle. I informed the front desk and they said we can rotate the mattress (never did) or change room. Just not the response you want when dropping $700/night. Also, they were understaffed as every request required a 30 - 45 minute wait. We'll seek other options on our next visit to Charleston.
