A Pleasant Hotel”
The hotel looks old but the staff go all out to make your stay as comfortable as possible. With good clean bathrooms, towels changed on request following Covid Protocol - as expected. Very easy to locate and be 5 min away from the centre of Fort William (by car). A good selection o local supermarkets from M&S Food Hall to Aldi with in walking distance. Overall a good pleasant stay at a an affordable price. With the addition of a heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room is just what one needs after a long drive to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities.

Areas and locations ”
I would say that the hotel is in a good area of town for shipping and eating also a lot of local attractions to pass the time when on holidays

Great Location”
I organize The Brits Job Tour, where we take folk on a 5000+ mile self drive holiday in Minis around the UK & Ireland. On an average tour we stop in 16 accommodations. My main concerns are parking and cleanliness. If they score well there I'm not too worried about room size. The Ben Nevis would be in my top 8 hotels last years tour. Good food, service, parking, nice and clean and everything worked! All you really need. Good spot to go exploring Isle of Skye & Mull. Cheers Col

Good hotel with lots of working amenities, faulted only by its tired appearance ”
For a 3 star hotel out experience were as expected. The staff were friendly but could have been friendlier. The bar had a good range of drinks, the breakfast was standard but good. The bed was ok and the shower hot. The leisure centre was good and the jacuzzi, sauna were good. Only slight flaw was the swimming pool felt too cold.

Good value, rooms clean and food good.

Better underneath than on the surface.”
Clearly in need of a lot of investment with flaking paint and dull decor but once you get used to these detractions, it is not bad at all. Shame it could be so much better with £1million spent on it.

2 night stay”
Hotel is tired, in need of maintenance, and therefore just adequate. The resturant really set to cater for group travellers, so limited food menu and little evidence the food was freshly prepared.

Best times are over ”
Chose this place missing alternatives. If you just need to have a bed - ok. If you are looking for a boutique hotel - wrong choice. There are better options in Fort William, for sure. Other than that: clean, friendly staff, but not enough to make up for the amount of work that the owners need to put into this place.

drunken guests”
couple above us were noticeably drunk and disorderly when spotted returning to hotel after night out in fort William. although nothing was said to them they continued with loud and unsociable behaviour until the night porter spoke with them after 3am, where he had to wait outside the bedroom till they quietened down

Directly on a Mainstreet, small and full with travel groups”
Small bathroom, very old school, breakfast without any fruits or fruit-salad, plates, toast e.c. were missing because of a lot of people in the travel groups. American Style of a old furnitured hotel

Good Overmoght Stay”
Travelling from the North and arrived at 12 lunchtime. Informed check in was 3pm so had lunch and drove into Fort William town about 5 minute drive away. Back late afternoon collected room keys for room 403. Double Classic Room situated outside of the main building. Clean comfortable with everything we would wish. Facing the very busy main road but very tired so not a problem. Had dinner again in the bar which was very good. A very big plate which I couldn't finish and a lovely Apple Tart and pouring cream. Hubby's favourite. Took remains of the bottle of house wine we purchased with dinner to our room as we were exhausted. Very comfortable bed. Slept soundly. Would recommend this hotel.

Good value ”
The Ben Nevis offers good value. The rooms and bar area are in need of an upgrade but the leisure centre is good and breakfast lovely. I feel there should be more smaller, cheaper options on the bar menu - even salads are around £9 which adds up if staying a few days for business. Also, it advertises 'free wifi' but does not make clear that this is only in the bar/reception area - not ideal if trying to work.

Needing updated”
The leisure facilities were good although the pool was no where near the advertised temperature The breakfast was good and plenty of selection The staff were all great The room was very dated with single glazing and traffic noise was an issue. You could hear every step of other customers as they made their way through the building and in their rooms. The shower was hazardous, going from freezing to scalding. In general the hotel badly requires its update programme completed asap.

Very nice hotel. ”
Had a great time and enjoyed our short break at this hotel. The staff were pleasent and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and had plenty of choice. We had a lovely view of the hills from our hotel window. The hotel is situated a short walking distance from the main town center.

Very good value tvthis time of year. Pleasant hotel, if a little dated. ”
Great location, easy to find, with good parking facilities. Food choices quite good, and my single room was spacious and pleasant. The hotel is large, and I was in a separate wing, so there was quite a bit of walking involved (outside but under cover) and the hotel needs updating and some redecoration.

Hotel is situated within walking distance to Fort William you need the car if you are visiting the mountains. In comparison to other hotels we stayed in this week, this was very disappointing. The room was small dark and dingy, situated above the kitchen with the unwelcome smell of food at certain times of the day. The television didn't work and one of the plug sockets was broken! The bathroom had no ventilation turning into a mini sauna after a shower. We went out for the day and returned to find the cleaner had left the window wide open leaving our property at risk. The staff on reception had little knowledge of the area and were unable to help on both occasions we asked for direction, and the hot food at the buffet style breakfast was luke warm on the two days we ate there. . If this had been a budget hotel we wouldn't have minded but for the price they charged we were not impressed.
