A home away from home ”

It felt like home. I was so glad to be in the room. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom is spacious. At least there was a decent selection of shampoo and body soap. There is also a Nepresso coffee machine. I always look forward to be in the room. Not only that, a Handy phone is provided in each room. You can make international phone calls with that. Breakfast is quite a spread. Of course, I cannot compared to the 5 star hotels. It is decent enough. Staff at the reception are helpful. They also speak good enough English, a rarity in Japan. One senior staff can be friendlier though. There’s not much to do in Takayama. A nice hotel is great. At least you can be comfortable in the room.

This hotel is great! 2 minutes walk from the Takayama Station. The room is clean and big (comparing to many twin beds room at other Japan hotels). The customer service is excellent! We arrived before the check-in time, so we left the luggages with the hotel staffs and went out for lunch. When we came back, the luggages are already delivered to our room. The mist-sauna and Jacuzzi at this hotel are also very good👍🏻👍🏻!! In conclusion🤗🤗

Great location and services. ”

The hotel is located near the Takayama Station and Takayama oldtown. There are some restaurants nearby the hotel. The room are clean and quite spacious. The hotel staffs are very nice, helpful, and polite. Surprisingly, the hotel offers automatic messaging chair in the room which we really find it useful. In addition, there is a free jacuzzi and sauna. This hotel is very recommended and we will stay there again next time we visit Takayama.

Steal of a deal!”

Though initially hesitant to book at a chain hotel, we were so pleased with our stay. The location was very walkable, our hotel room was very spacious and the staff was so accommodating to our family, with our infant son under 1. They were very sweet and helpful providing suggestions when we couldn't find an open restaurant (Google Maps was inaccurate). We made appointments for the onsen (I believe due to Covid), but it was a treat having the entire place to yourself. The jetted tubs were such a relief after a long day of walking. Our hotel room had a nice, immaculate bathroom too, which was nice for the baby. 10/10 would stay here again and return to lovely Takayama!

Great Hotel!”

Bed is huge and very clean. They have the best bed. Not really hard as compared to other hotels. Buffet breakfast was wonderful! The staff are always smiling and very accommodating. Location is also a plus. Very near Takayama station. I would recommend this hotel to others. Will stay again if we decided to go back to Takayama.

The name says it all”

This hotel was really amazing. It was clean and the staff were really nice to us. We were allowed to change to a bigger bed instead of twin beds. The room was equipped with an espresso machine and a massage chair. I fell asleep on the massage chair and my girlfriend had to wake me up. Defo recommend 😍

Best Western Hotel Takayama ”

Stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2019. The hotel is located within 3 mins walk from the train station and Nohi bus station. You just have to cross the road and go up 1 block. The hotel is also within walking distance to the attractions Sanmachi Suji. The hotel is well maintained, the room is spacious, clean and has good WiFi. No safe deposit box in room. No English channel except CNN on tv. Besides the usual basic amenities, there is a Nespresso machine and massage chair in the room. Quite a few charging points provided in room. Guests also have access to a Jacuzzi and mist room at the 2nd floor. Overall a good place to stay.

Super convenient location”

Love the location! A mere 5mins walk to Takayama Shinkansen station. I was so happy to find my luggage already in my room when I came back to check in after leaving my bags with them earlier. Breakfast choice between international buffet or Japanese semi ala-cart. Had the Japanese one and it was good.

Great location”

It was nice to be able to walk to everything in this quaint little town. The hotel was clean and the bathing area was great to enjoy after a full day of walking and sight seeing. The staff's English was great and they were very helpful. The massage chair was a nice bonus and the room size was good for Japanese standards.

Great Location and very comfortable room”

The breakfast was generous, the location excellent (just 2 min walk from the train and bus station) and the room clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful so I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Takayama preferring a western style hotel.
