Maintaining High Standards”
It was a possible defect; one noticed as belonging, in part, to the solution of a client providing an essential service; that necessitated my being booked into the Mornington Hotel, Lancaster Gate, amid the Covid-19 emergency lockdown. Despite the unprecedented situation, I have found employees here to be at all times friendly, informative and courteous. Their positive attitudes and dedication to guests; a number of whom being NHS workers; is evident. From the spotlessly clean reception areas and non-restrictive Wi-Fi, to the Operations Manger who (with no prompting) switched my room, after one, then another key-cards failed to open my door. I can only applaud Best Western for having chosen staff that in the midst off; as mentioned previously; an, ‘unprecedented situation’, would not only continue to maintain the hotel’s standards - but, (to my mind) raise them a notch higher.

We were very happy to stay overnight in this hotel. The room was clean, stuff very friendly and location is fantastic as it's literally 5 mins from Hyde Park. We will definitely choose this hotel again in the future .

Room was nice and clean so was the shower room,pleasant,welcoming and helpful receptionist let us check out a little later which was very kind of Her the only thing was the room was a bit small we had executive room but it did the job for one night

Staff were really friendly. Rooms were not bad but smaller than expected. Can’t really fit 1 large luggage let alone 2 that we brought, had to move items around quite a bit. The Card keys seems to be easily demagnetised even without putting near my phone and every single day we had to get it reprogrammed which is a bit irritating.

It was a very pleasant stay..the only thing missing in the room is a fridge...otherwise everything is well in order.. The staff is very friendly They have a microwave common to all too...which rarely hotels offer...loved my stay here

I came early Morning from hospital, Staff took considerable to let me check in early. Also I enjoy a valuable breakfast. My room small then description, this may be I check In early . I don’t mind. For me one person enough. Thanks staff they always smile.

Everything just great, the staff was very helpful, the location is good but you need to walk a bit to get to the underground, it would be hassle if you bring lots of luggage and small family.

Clean Hotel with friendly & helpful Staff”
Small (but not too small) Room, clean and comfortable Bed. However my request to get a bath tub room was not fulfilled. Actually that was the main reason for me to book this Hotel as the photos on my selected room showed a Bath tub. Furthermore the water pressure of the shower was so low that it was not a pleqsant experience to take a shower. So regarding the bath room it was quite disappointing and I would not choose this Hotel again. However staff was helpgul and friendly, luggage storage was no problem and rooms were equipped with coffee and even some biscuits. Really appreciated that. Hyde Park is just 2 mins away. Lancester Gate Station is just around the corner(less than 5 min walk) however it was closed when I stayed here. Paddington station is 10-15 mins walk away. Due to the bad experience with the shower and not getting the bath tub I think I will choose another Hotel next time.

Basic but good location”
compact hotel, lovely staff could be more pro. Room small we had one level higher than the lowest that have 15M2, smallest is 11M2. Bathroom very compact, lovely towel heather but it is not really effective like the hanger on the back of the bathroom door is like ineffective when the hooks are upside down. found hair around the bathroom. Nice size desk but the closet is big and therefore limited leg room and the closet only contain the coffee and tea facility what is useless because it is so compact and it is on the ground, what is not use full so we unplug it and mount it on the desk. The sound of neighbours can be heard clear like the closing of doors and walk through the corridors. price is cheap but if it was full price it is bad price quality. 6/10

There are better places around the corner ”
I like the area because it’s easy to get anywhere from here, but this is not a nice hotel. Definitely not as good as people review it. Firstly, no one answers the phone at reception no matter the time of day. The walls are made of paper - I could literally hear people yawn. No one told me that towels don’t get changed unless you’re there for over the week - atrocious considering they don’t give you a hand towel. Anyways, sign in the bathroom says to put it on the floor if you need it changed, I did so and came back to towel still on the floor... Unless you empty your own bing bags and leave them outside they also don’t take the bins away. All something that should be communicated upon arrival I stayed in way better hotels than this one literally just round the corner from this place
