Hotel is abit hidden and near to Ikebukuro station. Everything was lovely, except for when I had to check out just 36 minutes late and I was charged 1000yen for that. In this sense, I felt the management was deliberately making money out of customers because 11.36am - 3pm is enough time to clean one room.

Nice Hotel Steps from Station”
Hotel is just steps away from the train station. Beds were super soft so those preferring firm bed should stay away. Check-in appears to be strictly after 3pm. Tried to pay for an early check-in as I was on a red eye flight and arrived at 10am at the hotel but it wasn't entertained.

Dirty Carpet”
Although APA (Ikebukuro-Eki-Kitaguchi) upgraded us to a larger room, the response time for email enquiry was quick and the staff were helpful, when we put a plastic bag on the carpet right after we checked in, the surface of the bag was stuck with lots of hairs. It is quite disappointing in Japan and we did not dare to step on the carpet with our bare foot. The cleanliness of a hotel room is of utmost importance.

If you like the chaotic downtown, this is the best location. And the hotel is clean and the staffs are helpful. The rooms are small, but it is common in Tokyo as this price.

Overall okay, since this is the closest one to our match venue, so we choose this hotel. Maybe they should consider to provide small breakfast (coffee or pastries or onigiri at least?) with the price we paid.

We booked this hotel during the match game because it only 2 minutes walking from hotel to the building. Overall okay despite of the “mini room” (only 12 m) with one “mini bed” for 2 athletes in every room seems so small. But hey, this is Japan! 😂

Excellent shopping and dining location. Transport is amazingly well connected, in fact too well I often got lost in Ikekuburo Station. The room is a bit small, but I think this is a Japanese "standard" room, so I guess no complaint.

Pros: Location is near to north exit or central exit Room is clean and quite comfortable Price is reasonable Cons: Bed is very soft and with watery feel There is only one washing machine and one dryer You have to dry your clothes for 60mins for a full load in order to fully dry your clothes

Hotel is situated less than 5mins walk from Ikebukuro Station. Easy to find the hotel and there are surrounded by convenient store such as Family mart, Seven 11 and other interesting shops. Took less than 5 mins to perform check in provided you must check in after 1400pm at the earliest. Room is clean and small for a single traveler. They do provide option for breakfast which consist of breads, some local Japanese breakfast and juices. TV channel selection is basically all in Japanese language and there is pressing board , Ice dispenser machine, coin operated washing machine plus dryer. There are also pay per use video on demand with a minimum fee to subscribe. Will definitely stay there again or any APA hotel chain.

Quite nice experience. Although the room are a bit small but I think it is exceptable in tokyo. The room is new and clean. quite well designed. just 5 mins walk from the station north exit. close to many restaurant and night clubs. very good price.

Checking in was fast and easy. The room was quite small. The bed was big and very comfortable, the best thing about the room. Window gave a view of the surrounding area's building tops. The hotel is no more than 10 minutes walk (depending how fast or slow your pace is) to the Yamanote JR line which takes you around Tokyo city. Around the hotel area are lots of different cafes and restaurants offering different food choices; fast food, local food, simple, DIY (ala BBQ), bars (saw a couple Jazz bars). Ikebukuro is also a big shopping district. Going to the opposite side of the Ikebukuro train station, you can go to the shopping district where you'll find lots of stuff, mostly teenagers/young adult interests like shoes, clothing, video arcades, a movie theatre. Would recommend staying here for a few nights to explore the area.

Small but Clean and Comfortable ”
Although the rooms are small in these kinds of Japanese business hotels, I found the room to be adequate for my husband and myself. It was very comfortable as long as you don't have big bags and can adjust to the smaller size. Everything fit in its place, and it wasn't as small as other hotels I've stayed in with a similar design in Japan. I liked the bathroom because you could take a bath or shower and there was complimentary and nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, sponges, etc. They also provided a robe for each person, as well as slippers. I enjoyed watching Japanese TV and the internet worked well. The IP address is on the first screen of the TV. There was also an option on the TV remote to change the language settings of some English movies so you can hear them in Japanese or English. The breakfast was really good. It was just basic but well-done and comfortable. There weren't too many people there because you have to choose to buy the breakfast. In some places, they just give everyone the breakfast for free and then it gets too crowded. The bed was very soft and comfortable and I liked that you could control the air conditioning in your own room. Since the room was small, it was easy to get it cold. There is a fridge there too, but don't forget to plug it in. Also, there is a hair dryer in the drawer, so no need to bring your own. The check out was so fast! You can just leave your card in a box in the lobby. I really enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely come again!

close to JR ikebukuro St. not over 5-7mins walk from North exit. , near dinning place.. just 2-3mins walk from hotel. Very easy to travel in Tokyo by JR and subway. Room is good, not too small, very comfortable bed compare with other hotel in Japan. Lawson just behind the hotel. Hotel lobby have washing machine and dryer.

Excellent hotel staff. We booked the hotel at the very last minute so the rate was a bit expensive. I guess you will get a good rate if you plan months in advance. Quite a number of night clubs near the hotel. A bit of walk to Seibu and Parco.

Small but Great”
Definitely on the small side (though that may be par for the course in Tokyo) but literally everything you’d need is right around the hotel. Quick and fun walk to the station and plenty of food places (Convenience stores, Restaurants, Don Quijote, etc). This place made me love staying in Ikebukuro!
