Останавливались на одну ночь, приезжали на визаран. Разместили нас уже в 11 утра . В номерах достаточно чисто, есть холодильник . Расположение для нас было приоритетным , чтобы в пешей доступности был автовокзал , и посольство Тайланда . В стоимость был включен завтрак, что так же порадовало , не нужно было утром бродить в поисках кафе . В отеле есть небольшой бассейн , но мы не купались )

The Good - its relatively new, very clean, aircon is strong, wifi is acceptable (pretty good for laos standards), its walking distance to bus station, and embassy and there is a small 24hr store 1 block away. and the water pressure in the shower was intensely strong... GREAT VALUE for the money. other than one clerical issue, the staff was very polite, helpful, and friendly during my stay. The Bad - when i arrived the clerk could not find my reservation despite showing him the agoda email and confirmation number. we had a few back and forths about it, and i was attempting to contact agoda to resolve the issue when he ended up finding it. it turns out agoda subbed the first night of my booking out via booking.com and it was listed in his system under booking.com rather than agoda. not sure why he didnt just search via my name or passport? The Mediocre - elevator closed take the stairs. my breakfast came with literally HALF of ONE slice of bacon lol

Perfect for visa runs”
Modern, clean, new hotel. Rooms are small but very clean and everything new. Good wifi. Staff polite and helpful. Perfect location if you are in Savannakhet to visit the Thai consulate. 15 mins walk or get a tuktuk. 2 mins walk to the bus station to Mukdahan. Only slight con is that town centre is at least 20-30 mins walk so you'll need tukuk to get there if you want to go out in the evening. If you're only after the thai visa it is perfect.

hotel 200meters far from savannakhet bus station. less than 1km from Thai Embassy. hotel to thai embassy only 50baht with tuktuk but their asking 200baht. you have to deal with drivers. thai embassy to border same thing. their asking 200baht. if you can deal only 50baht. and you have to pay 50baht for pass thai-laos friendship bridge for go to thai immigration. or you can take savannahket-mukdahan bus from savannahket bus station for 50-100baht to Thai (mukdahan bus station)

Excellent choice”
Great place to stay, the rooms are much nicer than at the pictures showed . Staff friendly and helpful, great location close to bus station, Thai embassy and city center. Great value for money

Nice like the main building but...”
I prefer the main Avalon hotel more. This one is pretty much on the same property, but behind the main. Was a little less convenient to get to and you have to walk all the way around the block to get to the hotel's cafe/restaurant. Overall still a good place to stay.

Staff helpful and a nice area on first floor with table and chairs were you can sit and have a beer or two,and price of drinks are reasonable for hotel,I think ten baht dearer than a shop.will be staying here again for sure.

Decent but with deficits”
Pros: People should be glad there is no elevator!!! Yes, that is good. As soon as this property has an elevator it will make a lot of noise bumbling up and down with beeping sounds. Staff is very friendly. (Just pay attention when not paying in kip/LAK!) The twin room is spacious! Move the beds together for a big double bed! Cons: I was on the 4th floor (401) and heard the washing machine every night (presumably 5th floor). It is not too noisy, but when you put your head in the pillow your head buzzes with the washing machine. Why wash at night anyways?! There is no hot water kettle (thus no freebie coffee). Hot water is only in the lobby. In the bathroom only the toilet itself was cleaned (though, important). While I do agree that bed sheets and towels do not need changing every day, when our bed sheets had some stain on it they were not changed. Only one bed's sheets were changed on the last day (one of two beds?!). I booked a high floor room but got the ground floor at first...

Good place for the money with friendly and helpful staff.”
The place is 10 minutes walk from the bus station and 15-20 minutes walk from the Thai Embassy. It is close to several nice restaurants and cafes too. Get a room in the main building. My room was in a separate building away from the main hotel. The toilet released unpleasant smells, did not flush well, and the refrigerator smelled awful.

Good wifi, very clean rooms, limited English tv, powerful and hot shower, small double beds with only 1 pillow each, expensive soft drinks in the lobby.

Definitely would not recommend it, I chose it because of what I saw in the pictures showing a good buffet breakfast, with multiple choices and a good variety of English food. I also chose it because they had a restaurant that sold English food. In reality, don't believe what the pictures tell you, there was no buffet breakfast, it was a single choice and they had no idea what an English breakfast was. There was no restaurant, it closed at 10 am after breakfast and I could see no signs of a coffee bar
