Clean and decent stay”

Stayed here for 1 night. It was a clean and decent stay. The place was as expected in the pictures and for a capsule hotel. We checked-in late in the evening around 10pm, and the bathroom facility closes during that time so we weren't able to take a dip but it was fine. The only problem is that we can't take a shower in the morning because the bathroom facility won't open not until 11am and the check-out time is at 10am.

Low Price, Great Location.”

Quiet place, it's about 5min walk to JR Ueno Station, across Metropolitan Expressway No.1, it's lively. In the capsule,there are not many area to place your luggage so you cannot bring too many. It's appropriate for people who do not like shopping. I will come here if visiting Ueno again.

The receptionist forgot to take the key from me so he did not bother to bump into my capsule without knocking while I was sleeping- asking me to give him the key. I dont mind such mistakes but if you write down the hole place with instructions to guests and expect them to be robots, then you should show some flexibility at least when you make such mistake. Another point that is more relevant to other guests is that there are a lot of tourists who are making noise dueing the night and the staff is not preventing it

Very good hostel ”

This very good Hostel especially receptionist front is very good manners and the rooms are very clean.The service is first rate and not far from the centre of town. The conclude this hostel is good everything like 5-star equivalent hotel .

No electricity inside the capsule”

All good except three things: - curfew at 12 is too early for Tokyo! - no electricity plug inside the capsule, how do we recharge smartphones, pocket wifi, and other appliances??? - did not manage to use the wifi...

An older capsula”

It's not the best capsula, everything narrow, the shower area really small in relations to others, but still clean. A lot of opportunities around to eat and to walk around. There would be newer capsulas around

Due to a pretty "full-booked Tokyo", the Capsule Kinuya Hotel Ueno was my accommodation for one night in the city. The hotel is located near Ueno station and there's of course plenty to see and do in the area. No disappointments at the hotel, as one knows to expect a somewhat different kind of accommodation. Great staff, the capsule was clean and comfortable to sleep in and the showers/bathroom were okay, too.

great location, basic clean capsule hotel.”

this hotel is about 3 minutes walk from ueno kr and subway stations, and okachimahi subway station. five minutes walk to keiseiueno station, where the airport train arrives. the hotel is a bit older, but everything is in good condition and is spotlessly clean. i'm 190cm tall and i was able to sleep comfortably in the capsule. there is traditional japanese bathing - everyone naked together, but there is also one separate shower. the staff speak only a little english but they are able to communicate all the basics and they're very friendly and helpful. the capsules are not soundproofed, so it might get noisy if there are a few people staying - the hotel was almost empty when i visited. there is only a small narrow locker provided for your bags, but you should be able to store all your valuables there and leave your big bag in your capsule.

For non-claustrophobic only!”

Not for everyone but if you're adventerous and would rather spend money on things other than accom. this will work! Walk to Ueno stations ( JR and Keisei local), Express to Narita, middle of Ueno activities...safe, clean,convenient. No frills.

Clean and affordable capsule”

This is a slightly more expensive capsule. But it's clean and it doesn't look cheap or dirty. The staff is quite friendly. Location is near the train station.

Old, worn down. Smelled like smoke. ”

It was okay but other capsules are much better. The shower facilities are small and we were the only foreigners who seemed to stay there both nights. It smelled like smoke and the facility was small and old.

Clean and cheap capsule hotel near Ueno station”

Stayed for three nights, didn't have any trouble. The only nuisance is that you need to be outside of the room from 9 AM until 1 PM because of cleaning, but you can leave your luggage at reception so really didn't mind that much. Good location near Ueno station, at first didn't find the place without asking for directions.

a nice xperience in a capsule hotel locted near Ueno station,they also have a normal hotel nearby, so don't go to wrong place, the capsule one located a bit way-off the entertainment and restaurants area

It was nice for my 3 nights stays. the hotel is easy access to public transport and train station, quite environment suitable for sleeping
