Hotel is generally very clean and the staff were very nice. there was an incident where I booked a smoking room but I wasn’t able to get it but other than that there was no problem at service . Interesting in that it shares building with business and sport centers (whichis not disturbing at all by the way ). Distance wise, not super close to Omotesando shopping area by walking

Perfect location for ginkgo season”
We booked here so as to visit the famous ginkgo avenue in autumn. With less price compared to ginza’s room, our room was so much bigger. While the sleeping area in the room was a bit old, the bathroom part was much newer. Though 2 things were quite disappointing: (1) each of the nozzles of the rain shower pointed to a different direction. No way I could shower with it. (2) the elevator always has to stop at 2/F no matter what I pressed.

Great place in interesting, upscale area of central Tokyo”
Loved this boutique hotel which answered all our needs for leisure travel in Tokyo. Well located and walking distance to Harajuku, Cat Street and nearby back streets and good transfport on metro outside the door. Brilliant gym and good spa facility too. Breakfast sgtraight forward Western though Japanese dishes were oddly underwhelming. Nice bar on top floor with international restaurant, We did not try the food but the cocktails etc were well-priced for Toyko central! Big array of restaurants and bars right outside the hotel as well and front desk staff were generally obliging. Would stay again, you can even st Mt Fuji from the deluxe stadium view room on a clear day!

Beautiful rooms. Near the Gaiemmae Station. 20 min walk to Cat Street, Blue Bottle, the Mezu Museum. 10 min to the ballpark. Absolutely loved the concierge you could text on the go for recommendations and ideas. Would absolutely stay in this hotel again and recommend it!

Spacious room, handy location ”
We stayed 8 nights in a Modern Double room - my husband and I shared the bed with our toddler. The bed is HUGE - a Californian King which easily fit our family of three; we could have squeezed one more child on there too. The room itself is also huge, about 32sqm. Great location outside the Gaienmae subway stop (Ginza line), just 2 stops from Shibuya. You can also walk to Shibuya (30 minutes) and Harajuku (15 minutes). Staff are really nice, especially the cleaning staff. Only downsides were the expensive in-house laundry, and the restaurants on-site are quite expensive too. I’d stay here again though.

Excellent Facilities and Location”
I would highly recommend Hotel Allamanda Aoyama to any traveller visiting Tokyo. It's conveniently located near the Shibuya and Shinjuku district (a couple of train stops away or a 20min walk). Spacious rooms and gorgeous bathrooms, with a fully equipped gym and pool to keep your fitness in check.

Huge room and great location”
We were given the suite room, it was a spacious room with living room and such a welcome respite after staying in a tiny hotel room at another city at a much higher price. Location is great, train station is right in front of the hotel and hotel is about 5-8 min walk to Omotesando.

The staff at reception knew very little English. Required quite some prompting to assist with help to the airport. Upon check out they asked for a booking fee payment. When asked if we could be supplied with complementary water for our trip to the airport they said they only provide complementary pod coffee. Disappointed in service for what we paid for a night.

Compare to Shibuya where we used to stay, Aoyama is on the quieter side. The hotel is only located conveniently 2-minute walk distance to a train station. Room is spacious considering we are in Tokyo. Very clean. Nice guy and amenities. The con would be not too many choices for breakfast, and some restaurant staff didn't seem to speak or understand English. With the room rate this high, we would expect to have an easier communication at the restaurant of this hotel. Other than that, it was a good experience staying here.

NOT A CHILD-FRIENDLY HOTEL”
I don't recommend this hotel for families. We specifically booked this hotel for the indoor pool, but it turned out that NOBODY UNDER 20 YEARS OF AGE can enter the pool area. I really wish Agoda would have noted this restriction on the pool because it's misleading to advertise an indoor pool when it's only available to adults. Also, we called the hotel ahead of time to get a crib for our daughter and the hotel was very unhelpful. They kept telling us that our daughter should just sleep on the bed, that the room itself is too small for a crib (which wasn't true), etc. We ended up having to lug our pack-n-play to Tokyo. The king size bed is actually two single beds placed together side-by-side. The middle of the bed has a hard seam and was extremely UNCOMFORTABLE. Wifi is also VERY SPOTTY (can't watch videos) and the room service menu only has FOUR main dishes on it. It was NOT worth the price we paid.

1/ The hotel rejected to offer a room to us after we settled the payment successfully thru agoda.com. 2/ The hotel rejected to refund even they were unable to offer a room to us. 3/ The hotel finally offer a smoking room (we reqeust a non-smoking) to us after we told agoda.com that we were looking for an legal advice in the above situation. 4/ finally we arrived to the hotel. The room would be looking nice if it’s as new as the pictures on their website/agoda.com. 5/ the staff made a copy of my passport without putting a “copy” / “confidential” on. they simply put a hand-writing on. 6/ i would suggest the hotel offer a professional training and a comprehensive operation guide to their staffs.

For a five star Japanese hotel with no room service, no mini bar, dirty carpeting, half of hotel yet to be opened (under renovation) it have failing marks with "dishonor".... Should not be listed by agoda as such
