Nice hostel with great staff! Great for backpackers. The place is a bit crowded and there is not much space for open your luggage in the room. Has a familymart and starbucks close by. Fun environment and good value for the money:)

Good Location, Not Far from Train Station”

Finally hostel with a lift, as our other hostel at other cities can only be access by stairs. The staff are friendly and fluent in English, bedroom ok as usual with bunkbed, but don't expect a complete kitchen, as they only provide a refrigerator, microwave and an electric water kettle. As at other hostel their kitchen also provide plates, mugs, and cutleries that we can use. Overall good hostel and not far from train station.

Cozy”

Stayed for one night. We were worried about sleeping with no bed but it was actually quite comfy and cozy. The bathroom was clean to use. Front desk is open 24hrs which was nice since we arrived late and left early morning. Would stay here again!

The beds in this hostel were so uncomfortable, definitely my worst nights sleep of the trip. Although the location is right in the heart of Shinjuku and there are fun nights to meet other travelers (e.g. happy hour, food nights).

Enjoyed almost everything!”

I really enjoyed my stay at imano hostel! I was very surprised with the good facilities, rooms and shower were comfortable, location is amazing, breakfast was tasty, and everyone was really nice (front desk is working 24/7). The only thing I was missing at the hostel was atmosphere, I feel like the common area downstairs isn’t built right in order to meet new people easily and it was a kind of hard. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Nearby to all famous area!”

The staffs are friendly and understand good English! It is really easy to ask them a question. The room was okay and it spacious but I did not really like the bed. The bed is very thin than any other guesthouses I've been. Toilets and shower rooms are clean. The location is perfect if you like to walk from Shinjuku to Harajuku and Shibuya. It may take 30 mins to 1 hour of walking and not really tiring. Shinjuku Gyoen Park is just 15 mins walk. The internet connection is fast and perfect if you need to update your work or task. The kitchen is not complete with utensils. They only have a fridge and a microwave.

Convenient & Cheap”

If you're looking for a budget place near Shinjuku station, this is a suitable choice. Food place are plenty & convenience store are everywhere.. The hotel itself also serve food & drinks.

Good for privacy”

Decent location and amenities. The dorms are setup like more spacious capsules so that each person’s space has a lot of privacy.

Travelling solo made better with my atay in Imano! Probably the best hostel I have stayed! Very clean.. staff so friendly they are great in english!!! Location is the best!!! 10minute walk to the nearest station Shinjuku Samchome! So near Golden Gai and Donki shinjuku.. i had the time of my stay.. food everywhere.. my fave Sukiya is just a few hundred meters away! Beds are comfortable.. showers so clean!!! Even if we are 36 in a floor, I did not have a hard time with toilets and shower, it was available all the time!! Towel is 200 yen for your whole stay so it was good!!! Food at the ground floor is great! Try it!!! Overall I recommend this hostel to all!!! I Love Imano!!!

Nice hostel near Shinjuku”

If you are looking for a hostel not too expensive near the business centre Shinjuku then it is the one to choose. Good location and friendly staff. Which is not good: No free towels. All hostels I stayed at Asakusa and Kamakura offered free and clean towels every day but here U need to pay for every towel U used. Strange smell in the room: air is not fresh compared to other hostels I have stayed in. No private locker: you should pay for the private locker, which was free in other hostels.

Nice hostel in Shinjuku”

We arrived late at the hostel (around 12 am) due to the very crowded immigration at Narita airport but the staffs were there stand by to help us do the check in. I had a family room that can sleep 5 people located on the 3rd floor. They have a separate bathroom for male and female. There is a room on our floor that consists of fridge, microwave and sink, but no kitchen utensils so prepare to bring your own. The nearest subway exit it Shinjuku Sanchome (Marunouchi Line) exit C6, around 10 minutes walk.

Good location but lacks atmosphere ”

The hotel is located close to Shinjuku station and the rooms were nice! Lacked a few facilities and the reception/bar was quite small. Lacked atmosphere and not really a place for a solo traveller. Would stay here again but I question the value for money

Best hostel in Shinjuku”

Stayed here twice already during my trips in Tokyo. The location is perfect, 2-3 minutes from Shinuku San-Chome station, and 10-15minutes (leisurely pace) walk to Shinjuku Station. The cons is that the sound proofing is not that good, actually this isn't all too bad if other people respected the "after 10pm quiet time rule" of the hostel. Overall this is a great value for money. I'll definitely stay here again.

nice place”

location-good, although a bit of a walk to the nearest mrt. but near 711 and lawson. near the bars also.. bed was comfy..and toilets and showers clean too....weird thing was 2nd night was the staff told me that they had to transfer me to another room coz they will clean the room but i just said ill just put my stuff away and clear the bed so that they can change and so they agreed. that night suprisingly i was the only one in the room of 6 and the following 2 nights..i wonder why...they didnt place anyone in that room anymore..but actually it was nice. ahaha

Comfortable Sleep during a stormy Tokyo Weekend”

Pro : very clean! The bathrooms were so clean! I normally don't enjoy sharing toilets but I am fine with this one. The bed sheets were so clean and white. I had a very good night sleep. Cons: Distance from train. Although it is in Shinjuku. It is actually closer to Shinjuku-Sanchome. Getting to JR East line becomes a bit of a walk. So just rember to put on a good pair of shoes and get ready to navigate thru Shinjuku!

Good value for money and very convenient ”

Great location: 5min walk to the closest Tokyo Metro and 10min walk to transport hub Shinjuku. 24h convenience stores, supermarkets & restaurants at the doorstep. Toiletries provided but needs to bring our own towel and toothbrush. Stayed at both 8-bed and 6-bed female dorm and would strongly recommend paying a little extra for the 6-bed dorm which is has more space and you could breath better. Good value for money out of Shinjuku options!

Really enjoyed my stay here. Great staff who were extremely helpful. I met some amazing people here, and would stay again. Good location near Golden Gai and Kabuki-cho. Rooms are clean, but it can get crowded with everyone's luggage. Bathrooms are clean too. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Shinjuku!

Clean and good location”

The place is extremely clean and located in good location in Shinjuku. It is walking distance from the subway and there are 7-11&Lawson nearby. Internet wifi is also good and fast enougg. I stay in 4th floor which is located togethrt with the common area to meet with other travellers. Even though there are signs to keep quite after 10pm, but i found difficulty in sleeping since the common are extremely noisy even after 2am. The staffs need to be more alert of this situation and need to take appropriate action.

I had a mess because the airline had lost my luggage and didn't know where it was for days. However, the staff was extremely helpful in contacting the airlines themselves to help and also letting me know when there were updates to the situation.

Typical Tokyo type guesthouse”

Have been staying in this modern, well organized guest house for 3 days. An above average experience, yet not outstanding. ~5-15mins walk from Shinjuku subways depending which railway are you picking, few restaurants(good Udon & Lamen) and a few convenient stores nearby so won't let starving. Unfortunately all these advantages were all discovered by myself but not being introduced by any staff during check in. Well, I am not surprised by the way they just have house rule explained on arrival, as Tokyo ppl are well known to be cool and distant for me. So I don't have much expectation since the beginning. Nevertheless, if you need help, staff are there ready to help but only when you come to them actively. Cafe at ground floor and dorms upstairs. Elevator equipped which scores! Beds and toilets were in good hygiene. The only weird part was that you have to change your shoes right in the tiny area once you get out of the elevator. They kept only luggage of those upcoming guests but not guests leaving. So, do note that. Overall it provides a low price valued place in. Centre of Tokyo, worth considering.
