It is just a 5-min walk from Akasaka Station and there are different kinds of restaurants and shops along the road. You won't need to worry there is no food to eat at night. Large luggage cannot be put in the locker, but you can keep it in the reception. Light sleepers are suggested to bring their earplugs. In the morning, the coffee shop is opened and you need to buy a coffee if you want to stay in the lounge. After 6 pm, you can freely stay in the lounge where you can have your dinner (Eating and drinking are not allowed in the sleeping capsule). I have a nice stay in this capsule hotel and will recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to try sleeping in a capsule.:)

Loved everything about this hotel except it really gets warm inside the pod at night but if you’re a heavy sleeper and dont get bothered easily by the temperature, you’ll be fine

Loving the architecture! ”

It’s a few mins walk from Asakasa Station but make sure you go out at Exit 10 (BIC Camera). The capsule layout is amazing. It’s not as big as the other 9h i stayed at but i enjoyed it here. You’ll get ¥100 off for coffee if you stayed here. Convenience stores are just couple walks away from the facility. The staffs are pretty helpful. Stayed there for a night. Unfortunately the USB port in my capsule couldn’t work. The locker space is pretty small so if someone near your locker want to take some stuffs from their locker then one of yall have to wait, which I don’t enjoy doing so.

Good option for short stay ”

Booked for one night in Tokyo in the middle of our trip. Good location, close to station and with plenty of restaurant close by. We stayed on separate floors as there are no mixed dorms. Free WiFi made communication easy. My case wouldn’t fit in the locker - they’re tall but not that wide. Had to transfer essentials for my stay but there’s not much space to do that in the building. It was difficult to get to my locker because other guests were getting ready there as there’s not much space and the shower rooms could have been cleaner but this is due to guests not clearing up. Breakfast at neighbouring cafe was good value. We bought additional pastries as they looked great. I slept well but it was very warm.

Good capsule hotel. Would benefit with more attention to cleanliness in showers/toilets ”

We were travelling as a couple so had to book separate floors however this wasn’t a problem. We liked the concept of the hostel and enjoyed the experience as part of our trip to Japan for 1 night. The sleeping pods are clean but it was very hot on my floor. I slept well as it was quiet but my partner was kept awake for over an hour by another guest talking on the phone at 2am. The shower rooms were messy - this is due to the guests not cleaning up after themselves and the area would benefit from greater attention from staff. I couldn’t fit my medium size case in the locker, which wasn’t a problem as it was stored in reception instead but there isn’t much space to unpack necessary items on the premises. There were lots of guests trying to get ready in front of the lockers and the space is very narrow so it can cause a delay to accessing your locker. I didn’t have to wait for the shower in the morning. Breakfast next door was ok for the price.

Too crowded and limited space”

Nice stay! Great location, clean and neat. However it was too crowded, get up as early as you can in the morning if not you don’t have space to clean your self or shower as late as you can. Space is limited and locker is a 1 small backpack size.

Great capsule experience at the best hotel and location!”

We stayed at nine hours Akasaka on the first night of our arrival. Exploring the area was amazing, plus facilities are super clean and modern, they give you pijamas and slippers, and people are respectful of your sleeping time. I would definitely go again!

Such a great experience. The capsules are separated by gender. Were provided with PJs, toothbrush, towels. No space for large bags but lockers provided could hold a small roller bag. Make sure that you don't mix up the Akasaka location with the Asakusa location - we did. (And apparently it happens ALOT). Still great location with lots of restaurants and nightlife nearby.

I will really reccomend this for those people who have few clothes with them, if you have a big luggage you will have problems with taking out your clothes since your luggage will be stored in the reception only tho you can bring it to the locker area but the space is really small to organize your stuff, also you can’t have a space to talk with your friends/family since the space is very limited so its just really good for sleep and go. the pod is comfy, but the pillow is not great everybody is following the rules so i had no problems with noisy podmates. the location is a bit far in the station like a 10minute walk but very convenient since restaurants are everywhere also vendo machines, convinient stores and near a temple, location is great we enjoyed staying in this location.

Good stay”

It's walking distance from the subway, clean bathroom and capsules. Comfortable beds. Everyday you need to checkout and they will provide you new set of pajamas, slippers and toothbrush. It's just the area in the locker where you can arrange your things and luggage is so small and will disturb other guests who are near your locker area. But, it's good for short stay only.

Big capsule, dirty and smelly bathroom area”

Having previously stayed in other capsule hotels, I chose 9h Akasaka because I was attracted by its minimalist aesthetic. On the positive side, their capsules are the biggest compared to other capsule hotels. They give you access to a full locker, rather than just half of it; it allows you to keep your carry on as well as a big backpack. On the other hand, the cons were: - The nearest subway station is Akasaka-Mitsuke (5 minute walk). Though relatively close to a station, Akasaka area is not that touristy or has much to offer. - During the whole stay, bathroom area smelt like sewer, sinks and toilets were also filthy. I know lots of people go in and out of there, but it's no excuse since in other similar places these areas are spotless and squeaky clean all the time. -Prices double up or more from one night to another. -They allow people to bring their suitcase into the capsule area, so expect lots of zippers and plastic bags noises at night and in the morning.

Brilliant”

Me and three other architecture graduates stayed there and loved it. Probably not important to most people but the design is really nice and minimal + the space feels very futuristic (a bit like an episode of black mirrors). It's a 5min walk from Akasaka mitsuke station which is one of the big ones, really well connected. The staff are lovely and the place is so clean all the time i don't know how they do it. You have to check out before 10am every day and check in again anytime after 1pm. Every day they give you a bag with clean pijamas, new slippers, new toothbrush, toothpaste and towels. You cannot bring your luggage with you if it doesnt fit in a locker, so if you are with a big case you will have to leave it at reception and only take what you need in the locker. You're also not allowed to keep anything in the capsule as it doesnt lock and you also cant bring food or drinks. Highly recommend but only for shorter stays, it gets inconvinient if you stay for longer than 3 days.

Prison break”

The location and price and staff were fantastic. The beds and facilities are clean. It’s part of the Japan trip experience but I would not recommend it for more than one night. You get rushed downstairs where the lockers are but they are way too small I had to leave my suitcase at the reception. And its annoying to always bother the receptionnist when you forgot to take out one item from your suitcase. You have to go through the shower and put on your uniform (that really did it for me the prisonner feel) and then you are allowed to go upstairs without your suitcase. Goood to sleep only. Annoying to go in and out.

Great place to stay in Tokyo. ”

I like the place. Very clean and accessible to the train station (Akasaka-Mitsuke). Plus my favorite spot is the coffee house on the ground floor. Surely I’ll go back here when I go to Japan. From the 🇵🇭

Great place for the price”

The capsule hotel is in Akasaka which is a pretty cool area with a good amount of restaurants and bars. The staff all speak English well and helped me with a few things. The place is immaculate clean and modern. I have stayed at other places in Tokyo and this is the best yet. Negatives: The pillow is actually really bad. If staying for more than 1 night I suggest buying your own. Check out time is 10am - 1pm. You can keep your stuff in the lockers which is cool. It's just 10am is pretty early imo if you're out drinking the night before. I think they should change the times to 12-3pm instead 10-1pm. Apart from that it was a really good place.

Very nice, but...”

My brother and I stayed at Nine Hours Akasaka for 4 nights and it was overall nice. When we arrived a few hours before check in, the staff generously offered to store our luggage while we went to eat. When we got back, we checked in and visited the facilities to see what they looked like. The showers and faucets are very nice. Everyone gets a small locker to store smaller luggage and/or clothes. As much as this is a nice feature, the space between these lockers is rather small and can be very crowded depending on the time of day. The cabin's themselves were very comfortable. They are equipped with a power and a USB outlet which is nice if you want to charge your electronics. During 3 of our 4 nights there, the temperature was fine, but on the 4th night, for some reason (probably the weather), it was very hot and was rather hard to fall asleep. It was also due to someone snoring very loudly with no way of blocking noise coming from other capsules.

Charming place to stay”

I loved everything about it! For some, checking in and out every day might be a hassle, but as a first time solo traveler it wasn't an issue as it made me be out and about for most of the day instead of just lounging around or sleeping in too long. The coffee they offer at the ground level is great and the staff are lovely. Everything was comfortable and had no issues whatsoever, would definitely stay again if i happen to do another solo trip in the area.

A good place to stay but be warned”

I know it may be my stupidity but every day you stay here you must remove your belongings and completely leave the property by 10am INCLUDING giving in your locker key until you check back in at 1pm. The locker size is extremely small and many peoples bags do not fit which I think would be extremely annoying for them. This really is only good for ONE night. Otherwise it is clean and the staff are nice. The 10am leave everyday is just quite strange especially if you are staying for a few days.

BEST 24 HOUR STAY”

A bit tricky to find on google maps but the place was great ! The basement has all the lockers, showers and toilets. They even provided us a bag of Pajamas, slippers and toothbrush and tooth paste. That saves time from taking my pjs out. The capsule itself is big enough to sit up and very comfortable. Would definitely stay over again.
