The private out door onsen in the room is spectacular, with the lake view, its so relaxing, and the hotel staff is helpful and polite. I tried the breakfast provided by the hotel, it’s special and delicious. I sincerely recommend the deluxe room type which include the private onsen, its 100% worth! The best experience in Japanese ryokan(hotel).

An impressive traditional hotel ! ! !”
It was a good Ryokan with nothing short of it. Above all, the outdoor spa in the room was impressive. I'll use it again next time.

Friendly staff, great onsen facilities”
Hotel provided shuttle service to/fro Ogotoonsen station. Excellent pickup service despite our late arrival. Enjoyed the kaiseki shabu shabu dinner. Wait staff patiently explaining to us some of the dishes and guide us on how to eat the dishes. Excellent onsen and a common area with drink refreshment before/after using the onsen.

Very nice onsen with each room having private onsen.”
The location of this onsen is close to kyoto by train but the town is not the best. However the onsen is located on the ahore of lake biwa so the room has a very nice lake view. The rooms are large and have their own private onsen on rach balcany. The public onsen was also nice spacious with out door pool in nice garden. Dinner and breakfast were very good. The evenind dinner of omi beef sukiyaki was very tasty. Well recommended.

Quiet Ryokan only a little away from Osaka”
This ryokan is not too far from Osaka and there's Cup Noodles Museum(Ikeda) in between the destination and shuttle service. The facility is bit old but the kaiseki and breakfast buffet were superb. I still enjoyed my room with the open bath and would visit again. While I did try other ones, this is on my return list. The staff were super nice with a good selection of yukatas and they would help you put it on too. Overall great balance of pricing, food, facility, and service. P.S. There's a cute temple to explore nearby.

Great staff, food, and hot spring! The lake view was just ok because it’s near a harbour.”
One of the best hotels I’ve experienced ever! If you want to experience what a Japanese style hotel feels and hot spring at the same time, don’t miss this hotel. When you just enter the room, the beds won’t be ready. They will make the beds for you at night. (If you book a Japanese style room.)

really like the view from room.... it could be better if we are not at the far end building which view was partially blocked by another hotel... hotel got free shuttle bus at the closest JR station, which is really helpful! kaiseki dinner was really good, breakfast was not as attractive tho, which was kind of disappointed.

Very nice onsen and superb dinner”
The staff are very helpful. Although the hotel is not near JR station, hotel offers shuttle bus to station whenever you want before 8pm. That makes everything so convenient. The food is amazing. There is no repeated menu for my 4 nights staying. The onsen is wonderful too... they offer indoor and also outdoor hot springs. Everything is so clean and well maintained. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit Biwako.

Peaceful and friendly staff”
The location takes about 1 hour from Kyoto city. Also you don't need to take any bus or taxi from the station since there is telephone provided to call to hotel for pick up at the station with free of charge. There is 24 hour onsen service with indoor / outdoor onsen pool. Although the price is a little bit high but worth for relax. Recommend!
