GREAT LOCATION ”
We are happy that we choose Blue velvet hotel, you don't need to have a tour guide for city tour you can do that alone.... Don't miss to go to Museo near at city hall and the D'Bone we enjoy and learn the history of Davao, the Hotel is also near in Samal Port. Samal experience is so fun and the beach is beautiful like Boracay white beach I suggest you stay there Friday to Sunday they have party and Fire Dance every Saturday Night.

The location is very good for a tourist like us. It is near to the tourist spots like the people's park, museo dabawenyo, d' bone collector museum, churches, pasalubong centers and a lot more. There are lots of restaurant, fast food chain and convenient stores nearby. The hotel is clean and quiet, the aircon is very good and the beddings are clean. The space of the room is quite small but if you just stay there to sleep at night there would be no problem at all. The restroom is okay but there are no pail and dipper and a bidet but the hot and cold shower is very good also. There are no toiletries available in the unit, only bath towel and a little soap are there. So, i advise you to bring your own toiletries if you plan to check in here. But over all, Blue Velvet Hotel & Cafe is very practical place to stay because of its low cost offers.

No Windows”
Our room has no windows, maybe because it was the room assigned to Agoda and it has a little discount, but other than it's ok. Beds are comfy, AC is working, place is clean and staff are friendly too. Walking distance from the city. I would recommend this if you are just planning to sleep in the hotel or spend little time there and explore Davao the whole day.

Comfortable and well taken care of”
The hotel is strategically located; it is near restaurants, some tourist spots, and shopping area. The staff are also friendly and will go out of their way to provide good service. We have 2 separate bookings for this hotel since we need a place to stay for the night once we land in Davao, afterwhich we have to go to Kidapawan for the next 3days for our mountain climbing adventure, before going back to Davao for our 2day city tour. The hotel is kind enough to let us leave our other stuff that we wouldn't be using during the climb. Also, on the early morning that we are to leave for Kidapawan, instead of just telling us what vehicle will take us to the bus terminal, they waited with us on the street until we get on our vehicle.

Pros: -Accessible location. You can ride a jeepney in front of the hotel going to sasa wharf to samal. One ride to gmall, sm lanang, abreeza and robinsons. -Near San Pedro Cathedral, osmena park, d' bone collector museum, roxas market, peoples park, museo dabawenyo, city hall and freedom park (walking distance lang) or ride padyak or tricycle. - near bpi and bdo -restaurants everywhere -Clean room -free glutatione soap hahaha -free breakfast (but we failed to avail it) CONS -Noisy aircon -no elevator - hotel starts at the 3rd floor of the bldg. -not soundproof wall -broken deadlock -no hanger or any place to hang the towels.

Value for Money”
We booked an Agoda promo I think so the room does not have windows. We didn't mind because we only stayed in the hotel to sleep. Room is basic but clean (ok for bed, AC, restroom) and the location is at the heart of the city. Staff is friendly too.

Budget hotel”
The hotel is conveniently located at the center of Davao City. It is good for short and business trips where your stay is brief and do not need fancy accommodations. Also good for the budget-conscious people who are on the go and just want to have a place where to spend the night. You may bring in 2 more adults and still stay fairly comfortable. The hotel though needs to pay attention more on their linens for those who require utmost cleanliness on these stuff. By and large, my stay in the hotel is fairly okay as per my requirement.

crews are friendly, location is in the middle of the city center and near to good fast food center e.g. Jolibee and the rooms are clean. The hotel has no elevator and the cost of the foods in their restaurant is considered above than the average rate. I like their free wifi connection, though I need to go down to their lobby in order to access it.

Great location but small rooms and no wifi in room”
Overall I enjoyed this hotel. Pretty good cafe. Great location is in walking distance from anything you could want. Malls, food, etc. The staff was pretty good. Just the rooms are pretty small and there is no elevator. Overall a good hotel for the price though.

Great location but service is mediocre”
The hotel got clean and neat rooms but hotel staff services is mediocre to poor. The hotel staff is not too attentive to my needs. Some staff not so knowledgeable with hotel processes, could be a new employee. Even that, they should train and prepare their staff properly.

New Basic hostel with good price and location”
Reserved this for my friends. Pretty much the same as nearby hostel The Royale House, except that I think this is newer. We weren't able to print our reservation, but we still got to check in by just giving the name registered. But they did ask to present the credit card used (no biggie, but I think should not be necessary). Promised amenities are working: + Hot shower + Cable TV + Clean Beds + Wifi - wasn't able to test in the room, but working in the lobby (not too fast though)

no elevator, rooms start on 3rd & 4th floor”
Since most of my family were elderly (65 and above) we had a hard time climbing up and down the stairs with baggage getting to our rooms which are located on the 3rd and 4th floors. there are no bellboys to assist us. I requested for a lower floor as I read on the previous comments that there was no elevator but the contact did not confirm. the problem is, there are no rooms on lower floors they are really located on the 3rd & 4th floors. the 2nd level is for offices and the owner's lair. It was a bit of relief that we were able to transfer to a bigger room on the 3rd floor on our 2nd night stay. this hotel is for able bodied individuals only who are on a budget.

Nice hotel and great location ”
I had a nice stay at the hotel. I presumed there's 24-hour security so I feel safe during my stay. Our room is just enough to accommodate 2 beds and an extra bed. I just notice that the interior of the room is not well designed making it difficult for us to move around. It was, however, not a major concern for us because we only came back to the hotel at night. What mattered most to me was that I had a good night's sleep because the bed is very comfortable to sleep in. The thing that I like most is it's location. It's just a walking distance to Aldevinco, to San Pedro Cathedral, to Rizal Park and just a short distance to People's Park.

Food was good. Room was clean. It was a bit small but it was okay. They had hot and cold shower but there was no bidet in our bathroom so we had to improvise :-D The location was GREAT.
