Nice resort on Mactan Island , Cebu, Philippines. I stayed in the room with a balcony overlooking the water. Room was spacious with good selection of TV channels, in room safe and mini fridge. Plenty of swimming area with a beach. Good restaurant serves great free breakfast each day of stay. Swimming pool indoors but didn't use. Walking distance to 7-11 store. 4 stars. I recommend it.

Great location but small rooms”
BlueFins Resort is closed to the beach & little bit far from Airport & shopping center, but quite convenience as the water sports round the corner suitable for those adventure travelers. Not far from there have plenty of small shops likes Cafe, Spa, Supermarket, Korean restaurant, Japanese restaurant & local food. The only not good is during the night fall there became very quite and nothing to do. If you prefer outskirts & peaceful environment here is the perfect choice. I enjoys my stays here because it really help me to release the stress when i 1st step on here....I stay at sea view villa, the room not big and the fittings not so good and not very clean. We are not a particulars person so we just open 1 eye and close 1 eye during the stay.

Unforgettable experience”
Going to Cebu was my 1st solo travel. And for my 2nd day, I opted to stay at a beach resort to unwind, enjoy the scenery, drink liquor and exchange stories to a new found friend. The staff here are accommodating, generous and kind. I intend to come back here to explore more of Cebu.

Quiet, relaxing place, away from the city”
The beach is not that nice, rocky not sandy, deep during day time and low during night time. If you are not staying for the beach, the rooms are quite nice and affordable with your own balcony, good room service and quiet place, perfect for relaxing. Place is far from restaurants and other places, definitely not walkable so you are limited to the food inside the resort. Another good thing about the place, if you're going island hopping, boats are available in the beach so no need to go far, haggle the price though, we got a boat for 2700 pesos, originally 3,500.

Affordable seafront with a small private beach ”
This resort hotel is an affordable seafront option on expensive Mactan. The bigger rooms have a big balcony with a table, 2 chairs plus a sofa ( not the newest one). The small private beach fringed with palm trees renders a tropical feeling. The rooms and facilities are not new, but ok to use.

It was a great experience to stay in Bluefins Resort,we had a clean room and staff are accommodating.Only thing I heard a rat noise in the ceiling and next door was slamming their door early in the morning..Other than that our stayed was great experience!

New, clean hotel”
The place is very nice and the room set-up is likewise what I wanted which is facing the beach. It is semi private since it is next to Hadsan Cove Resort and they share the same beach. That day we were there the beach was not that great as the high tide was merely .6 meters. The water's edge didn't reach the sandy area of the shores. The rooms had two large queen beds that is good for four and which is adequate for a family like ours. Although, the place is expensive but that is expected of all resorts in Mactan.

Great stay when diving at Aquadvie dive shop”
The stay was good once I was settled in. I flew overnight and was staying five nights at the resort but when I arrived at 8.30am they said I was too early to check in even though the room was not occupied teh previous night. Wanted to chareg me for early check in. In addition they could not find my booking. There is no harm in looking after a guest when they have travelled 20 hours to get to you Aquadive dive shop is teh reason I stay at Bluefins. If they were not there I would stay somewhere else as there is not much at night to do. Aquadive I think is teh best dive operator in Cebu with four great boats and some terrific people that are fle3xible and look after what you want to do rather than just processing groups. Was a great combination to stay at Hadsen where Aquadive and Bluefins are both located Will be back there soon

Good for a first timer traveller to Cebu”
We enjoyed our stay in one of their seaview villa although the resort is like a sort of an access point to ferries loading up passengers for the island hopping and snorkling and other sea adventure being promoted by the resort. Therefore its being accessed by non-resort tenants and security is an issue on this. I cannot say more to their restaurant. I didn't enjoy the breakfast worth 190.00 per plate with beef tapa that is so hard to eat. I'd appreciate since they are near the sea shore, they could incorporate some danggit or sea food on their breakfast menu. But the room is newly renovated. The covers are clean and the mattress are new. Although I'm not a fan of their shower head on your waist level and is not fixed to the wall. Also an improvement on the table and chair on their veranda will be a plus. Our veranda has plastic table and chair. Overall, its not bad. We slept well like 10 hours straight. For a 1 - 2 star resort room, it is a great place to stay.

We were looking for a quiet private beach resort but we ended up here and was totally different than what we expected but it was the best experience!The room is great, stayed in room 113 which is literally elevated over the sea.Theres an open deck and we watch all the action, eg, parasailing,kayaking, etc. and we still get the privacy in our cozy villa...Its a best local experience you could ask for!The staff are very accomodating too..

The resort is located inside Hadsan cove resort complex. It makes Bluefins very crowded with all tourists, especially in the long weekend period. Outside of the room, there is located smoking spot with ashtray, but the ignorant will smoke everywhere including in front of ours, make uncomfortable to kids. The room is big enough with three kids under 5yo. But the toilet is not eqquiped with good working hanheld sprayer. The room and bath room is also mosquito vulnerably, potentially make kids have lack of quality sleeps.

It's a nice place to bond and relax. ”
The Sea View Villa is what you should get for value for money. The beach is not really worth it (the tides are extreme) but the place is quiet. It's a nice place for couples to bond and relax. The food is reasonable (considering the general price trend for Mactan). The staff are friendly. I would recommend this place if all you wanted to do was relax. It didn't take that long for us to get a taxi (which the front desk called for us)

Small hotel with clean rooms”
We arrived late in the evening and we observed the access road going to the hotel was a little bit dark. Upon entering the gate, we saw a few lights in the vicinity of the hotel. we were thinking that there are only a few visitors who checked in. Entering the room was a little bit of a surprise since we were expecting a small room but instead it was big, well-lighted and with a big and clean bathroom. We spent our first night there with a sound sleep. In the morning, we proceeded to cebu city to attend the sinulog festival mass. We were back at around 9 pm and we saw the lights in the vicinity of the hotel all-lighted. That was the time we feel the tranquility of the area when cold wind from the sea blew. Again we spent our last night of stay with a sound sleep. The area is suited for people who wanted to stay away from the harsh and busy day in the city. The place was indeed relaxing!

The ocean of the balcony!”
We stayed in a suite hanging right over the water - lovely! While it's not a big room (we probably won't get the same room again because we have two kids and there's only one bed), we REALLY enjoyed eating our meals on the balcony over the water. What a real treat. The beach is definitely small and the water not deep for quite a ways, but we enjoyed our time here and plan to come again. For the price, probably impossible to beat the ocean views and access.

Twas okay”
The room was comfortable enough, we booked a room good for 4 adults, we had two kids and an aunt with us. The white sand is perfect. We were the only guests i saw checked in on that day. I booked this within the day, and they were prompt to accept a same day booking with agoda. We had dinner outside the resort since we are looking something different for dinner. I like their beach no need to island hop and find a clear blue water beach, just infront of the rooms you'll find clean water to swim and snorkel.

Expect a Surprise”
Some of the services promoted do not exist such as Airport Transfer, WiFi in rooms or housekeeping. And the expectation of having hot water AND cold water in the same room should be dropped. Absolutely no facility for young kids as you have staining dogs and cats that tear apart the trash in front of your rooms and do their business everywhere. Privacy is very limited as all day long the hotel functions as a gateway for island hopping and many people pass by or occupy seating facilities leaving their trash. Additionally, local families use the facilities for their BBQs with 10-hour-non-stop-Karaoke. Lower your expectations on the restaurant and be happy if you have access to drinking water. The pictures used on Agoda are probably several years old as in reality not much maintenance was done since. If you stay at BlueFins Resort Cebu, you should not mind straining cats and dogs, ants and cockroaches, dont mind hot or cold water (just be happy if you get either). Not recommended.

Great Location”
At the amount that my group is paying for stay,it is more then worth the money. The staff are very friendly and helpful to access us on our needs and request. We had a beach view room. Thus, we do not even need to step out of our room to see people playing and swimming at the beach. The room is bigger and more confortable then expected for a group of 4. Convenient location to get you anywhere you want to go. We reall yenjoy our stay there.
