I love this place ”
This is the second time my wife and I stayed here. One night in 2019 and two nights this time. We enjoyed both times very much! The island was awesome. It is not very fancy and modern, instead you get some modern amenities, but is still able to experience the island in its natural form. The staff were very friendly and always very helpful. I can stay there for a week except for the time constraint. You can book the whaleshark experience through hotel. (The tour begins at 9am and you will be back at the hotel around 12:20, so u should arrange ur schedule around that.)

For us the best place in the Philippines. Very nice hotel with very friendly, helpfull and professional staff on an paradise island. Everything was very nice and there were lots of different things to do on the island and in Oslob and surrounding where every two hours was a free ferry going and coming. The only thing we regretted was not having stayed longer than 5 days.

We stayed in the resort for 2 nights and we love it: clean room, friendly staff, fantastic view. Do check the boat schedule to this resort and plan carefully before you book this place, it can be a long ride from Cebu airport and last boat at 2pm or 4pm. Recommend to book the Whale Shark watching tour (whale shark only or combine with waterfall day tour) from the resort front desk, they will provide private van, towel and staff Not much choice for food (even with the buffet) and it's quite expensive. But I understand the island is isolated, not so many guests so they cannot offer too much variety. So better manage your expectation well.

Fun and Relaxing! ”
Sumilon Resort has the nice facilities enjoyable activities and relaxing sceneries. The staff are top-tier and accomodating that they made us want to come back. We commend William (restaurant staff) and Jose (lifeguard at infinity pool) for going an extra mile to accomodate us and making sure we enjoy our stay and suggest what activities we need to try. Their friendliness made the resort a place like home.

The best breather of the year”
2020 has been difficult for everyone and my first out of town vacation since the pandemic happened was beyond worth it. It was a great breather and the best birthday getaway for me. All staffs were very accommodating and the room was so huge and clean. Your money's worth was really there, from the time you reached the port to the time you leave the paradise. I can’t find a fault on this place. We had the best experience and will definitely recommend Sumilon Bluewaters. This is a 3 star hotel/resort with 5 star services. What amazed me was being served by the Operations Manager herself at the restaurant and she is soooo friendly. The only thing that could ruin your stay here is the weather and a night here is not enough. The moment you leave the resort you can only think of when you will be coming back.

A resort where you can enjoy a chill getaway with a reasonable price. The staffs were friendly. The sand bar was beautiful but it often was full of tourists. However, the hotel has its own private beach and it was nice, too. The TV in the room was too small and too far away from the beds. Apart from that, everything was great.

This resort is the best. Staffs are all courteous, friendly, and approachable. Room is clean, and bathroom is super big. The place is peaceful and nice. Though food is quite expensive but you really can understand since the resort is located across an island. You really can enjoy snorkling because the island is rich in colorful corals and different kinds of marine species. I highly recommend this resort for families.

An amazing, peaceful, relaxing private island”
Bluewater Sumilon is sooo peaceful sooo relaxing! You can watch the sunset and the sunrise from anywhere on the island. The swimming pools are very nice and clean. The restaurant and bar are very nice and welcoming, overlooking the kayaking pond. Food quality is good not the highest but definitely good. Same with drinks. Only 1 complaint that the smoke from their electric generator was getting in the room when the wind changes direction. This needs to be addressed so that the smoke is directed far away from the trail. Remember Sumilon is a self-contained island which is a huge logistical challenge. Aside from that it is absolutely pristine and beautiful. Water pressure is very restricted in sinks and shower to help conserve water. Clean drinking water is bottled on the mainland and must be brought in by boat. The walking sand bar will amaze and give you different photos and views every time! I stayed in the premier room which is a little longer walk from the boat dock but it is more private. Each room has its own front porch and front yard area. The hiking trail is absolutely amazing! The color of the water is so naturally relaxing and I truly enjoyed swimming with live corals in the beach area <3 No doubt I would come here again and stay at least 3 nights!!! Their wifi works great both at the mainland and on the resort.

A bit hilly so this will be a bit hard walk for older guests. Would be better if they have a golf cart to shuttle guests to and from points in the resort. We loved every minute of our stay, great for families who want to just relax. Plus staff is really excellent!!
