not very comfortable stay especially the roommate was drunk and made noise in the middle of night. receptionist was kind to give us the rooms as we did it last minute. breakfast was not fantastic recommend to get your own one.

The room has nice decoration and very clean. It is located in the city centre. Supermarket is just 1 minute away. Breakfast is very very nice. Will back again for sure.

Braeside B&B was a nice, comfortable place to stay. Good location, just a stroll to the shops & restaurants. Given good advice on plans for sight seeing. Negatives TV in bad location in room and difficult angle to see. No parking, have to park in carpark down the road 50 metres away. Would have to be very lucky to a closer park. Breakfast okay but forgot the haggis first day and forgot the sausage the second day. Price on the high side (like a lot of Isle of Skye) but highest price we've paid while travelling around Scotland in the last 2 years.

Cute and Comfy Little Guest House”
A very cute guest house. Checking in is at 3.00pm quite late but i arrived 30 minutes earlier and Ruth the house owner did not mind. Room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. But one thing to remember, payment is by cash only. So if you are planning to stay longer than a night, bring lots of cash. But the good news is, banks are available nearby within the area. 3G is not available in Portree if you use 3 network. But wifi is available at the guest house and connection is very good. You will be given 2 keys for your room and the main door and you are required to lock the main door every time you go out. Breakfast was ok, the lady who served the breakfast got confused when we said we didn’t want the sausage and bacon. She served them anyway. Sigh. Location is perfect. Portree is a small town and you can basically explore the whole town just by walking. Supermarket is available opposite the guest house at the junction and plenty of restaurants nearby including shops and pharmacy. There is a lower deck harbour and it is a must go. You dont want to miss sunrise there and see the fishermen leave early morning. I tried the fish and chip at one of the shop at the lower deck harbour and it was delicious. There is a bench there where you can sit and enjoy the fish and chip. This row of shops here were featured in Natgeo and you wont miss the pink guest house towards the end. I love the guest house. Small, cute and sufficient. It would be better if they can accept payment by credit card. Nevertheless, i would highly recommend for couple and solo travellers.
