This hotel was fantastic! The room was nice and comfortable. My favorite was the rooftop onsen. The walls were all glass, so on a clear day you will get a nice view of Mt. Fuji while sitting in the hot tub. Unfortunately it was too cloudy and I couldn't see the mountain. We only meant to stay just one night but it turned out so nice, we booked it for additional night and loved it! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Fujiyoshida.

We were welcome abroad by a team of 4 members who helped us to bring our luggage to our room, provided brief information regarding the hotel facilities, the meal plans, and showed us to our room as well. During our stay, most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful., especially the senior waitress at the Harmony Hall, and the stylist, who helped us to dress up the kimono. Most of our meals were served in Kaiseki cuisine, which were sensational and scrumptious. Most amentities were sufficient with good quality, except the bristles of the tooth brush were relatively stiff. Most facilities in the hotel were at good quality, especially the beautiful garden and the gorgeous view of My. Fuji. The housekeeping was fine, and the room was neat and tidy. Nevertheless, it would be better to enhance the pests control in preventing the big ants from crawling into the room. Above all, we are willing to choose this hotel as our first priority once we re-visit the Fujiyoshida next time.

Most of the time, you what you see on the photos posted, you might give a pinch of salt, not forBessho Sasa. Truly a high quality hotel room. Wanted to book the Fukuchi Type A room, however it's fully book on that day. So I've booked the Mizuho room instead. The room is just slightly smaller but still extremely clean, with coffee machine, food served in the room's dining table and etc, the experience has been one of the best I've had. On top of which, the highlight must be the Onsen at you balcony. What else can one ask for? It's awesome! Pricey but worth it if you have the budget. They even prepared a small gift for my girlfriend because it's her birthday. The thing I didn't like was that they are extremely strict on checkout time, which is annoying.

I arrived in Tokyo, rant a motorbike and spent 3 wonderful days in Mt. Fuji area. Mt. Fuji Station Hotel in the Fujiyoshida city, as the name suggested, located right next to Mt. Fuji station of Fujikyuko Line. For those who travel via japan railways, this is an convinient choice. （More info could be found via http://www.fujikyu-railway.jp/） The hotel provides parking space for its guests, so those who travel via car/motorbike should also love this place. The Fujiyoshida city lies at the base of Mount Fuji, located between two of the Fuji Five Lakes. This means easy access to the spectacular Mt. Fuji and its surrounding area. This is a standard Japanese-style hotel in a great location. Though the breakfast could only be described as “simple”, but I didn’t come to Mt. Fuji for “hotel with best breakfast in the world”. Highly recommended for everyone visiting Mt. Fuji area

We had very little expectations as we only chose this hotel for its proximity to Fuji-q highland theme park. Location wise it was a great choice as we expected, but much to our satisfaction it was amazing in all other aspects as well - great breakfast, spacious room, very clean and new hotel, and the best onsen we had so far - we didn't even know it had an onsen when we booked it:) only downside is that the staff knows zero English, but that's the case in almost every hotel we stayed in Japan so far.

This is a reasonable hotel, expecially when you are a backpack traveler. You enjoy the privacy of a room with a very cheap rate. Of course, you don't expect amenities or free wifi in your room; you go down the lobby for free internet access. Around the nearby road intersection is Lawson, Yarashi-tei Yakiniku restaurant, and a sort of home-cooking style canteen. The cleaner, though, in the morning entered my room while I just bought something from Lawson, and she started cleaning even if I am still checked in. Anyhow, she was very respectful and apologetic; i let it pass. Of course, you don't expect much when you pay a nice cheap price. I can come back here again for an overnight weekend getaway.

This was truly the best place to stay at while in my travels in Japan! The owner of the hostel was welcoming and helpful. The idea of renting bikes and cycle around the lakes was probably one of the best thins to do. The stay in the hostel was short, however it never failed to make me feel more like at home rather than a host ark with freshly baked bread in the evenings as well as mornings and the lowly detail from a paper crane on fresh bed linen to countless maps available to explore the area. Truly lovely place and highly recommend it!

I booked this hotel because I want to see the autumn leave. The house is surround by beautiful trees. Only draw back is the house is very close to main road, which could be noisy between 7am to 10 pm. There is kitchen, microwave, oven, stove, tv, heater. Bed room has 2 single bed and 1 double story bed. Living room can accommodate 2-4 more people on futons. You need a car to stay here. It is on the mountain road between two small towns.

I was assigned a place where l can view the Mt Fuji 👍👍👍👍👍 Hostel with free parking + toilet bowl installed is the high-end TOTO model that is used at W Hotel Taipei 👍👍👍👍👍 The breadfast @ Japanese menu is definitely delicious 👍👍👍👍👍

After a long day of traveling from Osaka, Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel was an wonderful place to take a much needed break. Located pretty close to the train station, this youth hostel was also really easy to find. Clear directions and signs posted on the main street. Upon arrival, the lady was so, so kind and welcoming. She gave us a tour of the hostel and made sure we had everything we needed for the night. She was so thoughtful and amazing. The facilities were extremely clean and easy to use. The shower area looked as if it were newly rennovated! Air conditioning in the room and the shower room. Our room was a tatami mat room, and we slept in comfy futons. The blankets were so fluffy and warm. Everything we needed was there! We woke up early the next morning for a short hike to the Chureito Pagoda, and the view of Mt. Fuji was absolutely breathtaking.

5 stars for everything except location. The hotel staff was super helpful and the room was small but clean and nice. Fastest WiFi we ever got in Japan too btw! The place is surrounded by food places and right next to Family Mart convenience store. But if you don't have a car and you want to do sightseeing at the lakes, public transportation is far and infrequent. Taxi is super expensive in the city too! Costs us like $15 just to get to kawaguchigo station which is a few km away.

Was hoping they have onsen facilities since it is located at Mt Fuji area but they don't. Room was decent but old. It is however very close to the train and bus stations and in the Fujiyoshida area that provides a great symmetrical view of the majestic mountain. We could see the mountainand the ferris wheel and roller coaster of Fuji-Q Highland from our window at Room 511.

1) Onsen wash away your tiredness. Can enjoy private onsen if there is no other guest. 2) Very helpful & cute owner (Kashiwagi san).. landlady prepared local cuisine Houtou to welcome us, as a gift.. superb!! 3) Directly can see Mt. Fuji peak from the house. 4) Landlady helped us with laundry too. 5) The place not near to station, so please email to owner before your arrival. Taxi is not standby and available at the station. Make sure you mention your time of arrival at the station so owner can pick you up. 6) Both owner & landlady can speak certain english, easier to communicate too. Definitely will come back again!!

The hostel is spotlessly clean and tidy. The bed linen and towels are nice and fresh. The beds are extremely soft and comfortable. The free breakfast exceeded my expectations and there is plenty of choice along with free tea and coffee throughout the day. The family who run the hostel are so kind, friendly, welcoming and hospitable. They helped me with everything and did whatever they could to meet my needs. I felt like I was at home here. I've been travelling for eight months and this is one of the best hostels i've ever stayed at. If you are going to stay anywhere, stay here!
