Great double room with sea view. Little bit apprehensive that we were put in the hotel next door to accommodate our party of 8 (4 couples), which was owned by North Ocean Hotel. Couldn’t have been more pleased! Lovely room, en suite bathroom perfect for a nights stay. Breakfast next morning was fantastic! Full English, cereals, fruits, yoghurt, pastries, fruit juice and tea and coffee! Very impressed and will definitely be going back at some point! Little bit out of the way, maybe 15 min walk to bars and restaurants, 20 mins to the Tower, however taxis are quite cheap if there’s no traffic and there is always the tram!

After reading the reviews i thought oh god where have i booked lol I arrived at the savoy. check in was good friendly staff. check in was at 3pm. Bar was warm and again friendly staff, they have a happy hour lager a pint was £2.50 then after the happy hour you cold get two pints of bear or lager for £5.00. My room was on the third floor, it was warm and cosy. the bed was nice and clean and smelt fresh. the furniture had seen better days but it was clean and did its purpose. the TV was the old type not the small slim type which suited me because i could watch it clearly while in bed. the breakfast range was fruit juices, ham and cheeses, cereals, the cooked breakfast was bacon,eggs, beans. tomatoes, mushrooms,hash browns.fried bread, sausages, black pudding and toast and you just helped yourself - marvelous. I would recommend this hotel for probably a break they staff were very friendly and doing their best for the hotel. I would certainly go back no one made me feel awkward as i went on a shopping chill out weekend on my owm

The location is virtually opposite the tower so its a 5 star for that, the rooms well let's say faulty towers. the was very small and you had no chance of seeing out of the windows due to the muck on them. I upgraded our room to the "Nelson Suite" and to be fair for £55 per night it was good, four poster bed, jacuzzi bath, kitchen area with a microwave and ironing facilities & a lounge area but still couldn't see out of the windows due to the muck on them! The staff were very nice and couldn't do enough for you but you could see the frustration as they knew the hotel was run down but there was not much they do. I would return to the Metropole as even though the hotel was run down, the room I ended up with was worth all the money I paid (paid three times the amount for a similar room in wales) and the staff were trying there best with what they have got. On a positive note as we were leaving they had teams both inside and out improving the appearance

Booked on route and got a great deal for 1 night stay. Managed to park in side street overnight but hotel does have its own on site chargeable parking. Room was a good size though a little dated. The bed was a little creaky and the picture quality of TV was poor for a 4 star rated hotel. But I paid a similar night rate to that of local B&B’s so was great value and quality for price paid. My one main criticism would be the banging of room doors. Very loud and all through the night. Most hotels now have smooth close entrance doors. But as stated, for the rate I paid, it was great value.

had a great time and lovely friendly and warm hotel to come back to would love to book again next year we have been before, the only thing that was wrong and slow to us was the staff in the dinning room breakfast seemed to take forever to come and wen we have little ones getting stressed out it got us stressed out waiting for it to arrive but the food was nice and if u ate it all they would ask if you wanted any more.

I was firstly made to feel very welcome and the Northern Star had a really nice feel to it, The hotel was immaculate, Conor and Brendan are absolutely great !. The room was first class and the breakfast was excellent. I will stay at the Northern Star again no doubt. As for the location you only have a minutes walk to the train station and only a few minutes to the North shore where you can jump on a tram right down to the south pier for a couple of quid !. The local pubs and bars are also very welcoming with a great atmosphere !. I really look forward to seeing these guy's again soon.

I stayed two nights in preparation for the half-marathon. Left car in car park all weekend as everything is only a walking distance away. Found a really nice Thai/chinese restaurant just 5mins north of the hotel. An entertainment theatre (Funny Girls) just 5mins south+ everything else in-between. Bed+ breakfast in The Imperial was cheaper than just Bed anywhere else+ the breakfast did not disappoint. Very happy customer!

Hotel easy to get to from train station (taxi very reasonable £4) as per flew into Manchester, Hotel on the Nth Prom, easy to access all Prom's by tram (lovely way to travel), quick check-in at hotel no delay. Small pool and steam room in hotel, all very clean. English Breakfast excellent. Staff not rude but not over helpful (we asked for help several times but had to find out the answers ourselves, just for directions and information details, they didn't sell their home town well. Seemed under staffed in the restaurant on the second morning, long wait for breakfast to arrive to the table, but not a big issue as we were not in a hurry. Over all our weekend stay was excellent (we had 2 twin rooms) and the hotel covered our needs for a fun weekend for a 40th Birthday in Blackpool.

Well my journey up to Blackpool was great. Trains not too crowded. All on time. BUT when I arrived at Blackpool North Station and pulled out my hotel reservation I realised I'd booked for tomorrow night! Non- refundable. So I lose the money and have to try and find a hotel on a Saturday night. I thought I'd try to go to the hotel anyway on the off chance they had a room. But a big NO VACANCIES sign in the window. I rang the bell. The most lovely couple ever asked me to come in and told me to make myself comfortable on the sofa. The lady "June" said not to worry love and gave me a room! No extra cost. The room is lovely. Ensuite and warm and very clean. I don't think I ever experienced such good service in a hotel. What a fantastic hotel - £23 including breakfast.......This is a fantastic value hotel and I am very grateful to my hosts for their kind hospitality.

The staff are incredibly friendly and went out of their way to direct us to the best places for the activities we were interested in. The hotel was just a 5-10 minute walk away from the beach which was perfect. We felt very looked after during our stay and were made to feel at home. We would definitely go again and recommend to people looking for somewhere to stay while exploring Blackpool!

Our room was great fab views nice furnishings, but unfortunately the mattress springs were uncomfortable. we went for breakfast and ordered full English women said it would be ten minutes and to help ourselves to cereals which we did. problems was it arrived before I had finished my cereal . the young man stood there with it in his hand waiting for me to finish. we realise this hotel has just been taken over, these are constructive criticisms to help them on their way. we would definitely stay there again for a longer stay next time.
