Great location 10 min walk to The round house and Camden Lock/Market”
Room spacious, clean . Hotel a bit dated but for the price was excellent we were not expecting the Ritz . Would rebook again however I would request a room not in the basement. A window would have made our stay a million times better . However room was quite spacious and included a fan. Full English included !! 👍

Trouble at check-in”
Booked a standard Double Room, When i arrived they tried to give me a lower ground , inside room without window. My confirmation letter & email confirmed otherwise. After standing my ground & long wait I received the room I booked. Hotel in nice quiet area of Hampstead, Local bus round the corner 3mins away, for travel into Camden Town/market, change there for central London. Northern Line Tube at Chalk Farm 2 bus stops away.

Room is ok for the price”
Good location out of the hussle and buzzle. Easy 15min stroll to Camden Market. Staff service is good. Hotel facility is average. For the price we paid, it is a good place to stay over.

Good location. Great transport options. ”
Take care when booking as there are windowless rooms in the basement. No aircon. Tiny TV and fan provided for the summer heat. Room facing east was horribly hot early morning 7am as the sun was already streaming in.

We were looking for a hotel near the Camden Rock Festival.”
The hotel location was perfect. We felt the whole hotel needed a deep clean and a spruce up. Checking in could have been handled better, we had already paid online. But they still needed to see confirmation. Which we showed and they still struggled to find us on the system.

No windows unless you book executive room”
No windows and no air conditioner during spring and summer is unbearable. When we booked our room there was nothing on the description that mentioned basement no window and no air conditioner, the temperature was on the mid 20’s celsius and we had to keep our door open otherwise we would suffocate. We would’ve actually paid more if we knew the conditions of the room. If you’re not booking an executive suite then don’t bother. Also the staff really seem to hate their job apart from one lady that was lovely.

Probably the worst hotel have ever stayed in”
it is clearly in need of a refurbishment with arrival of new carpets in the reception area. Therefore Britannia should be considering whether it is prudent to open at all currently. Staff were fine and room cleaned, but pretty much whole room needs gutted and upgraded. The noise from other guests until 4am was not appreciated

Dirty , smelly, unhelpful staff, would recommend that no one stays there. ”
My partner and I stayed two nights the only positive was it was in the area we wanted to be. On arrival we was given key entered lift that smelt of drugs also the corridor was the same . The room was filthy walls with dirty marks, skirting dusty light and lamp not working. Window sills full of mould , We had a balcony that was locked and had to pay to get a key to open it, we didn't bother as dog poo was out there, think it was a half way house for the homeless, screaming and shouting all night I felt unsafe to go out of room on my own, staff was unhelpful and short changed us at the bar. The photos are definitely not a true likeness of the place. We would definitely say stay well away.

Terrible”
Nothing like the photos. Dirty and old. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in for years. Avoid.

This is the worst hotel imaginable”
WiFi is 7gbp extra. Rooms are awful, unclean smell of smoke, food horrendous. Better off in a hostel than here.

Enjoying London”
We enjoyed our short stay at the Britannia. We used it as a base to explore London. It was a short walk to the metro from which we could easily get down town. A good moderately priced hotel to see London from. It is nothing fancy but it was clean and our room was a good size which came as a nice surprise in London.

Great deal for 2 nights in London”
We had gig tickets for the Camden Roundhouse (5 mins walk). Good restaurants nearby too for pre-gig meal. Hotel reception staff friendly and helpful. Room spacious and clean if a bit dated. Had a bar meal one night which was fine if unspectaular. Overall would recommend if wanting to do stuff in local area of North London or if further afield due to convenient transport links. For the pruice - we were very pleased.

Good location for north west London”
room fine but in basement so no window. when we arrived early at 12.40 pm, reception did not bother to see if our room was ready, even though there were no other visitors at the desk. she just asked us to come back after 2.00pm. very handy for chalk farm, belsize park, camden town and hampstead: all walkable.

OK Hotel”
The Britannia Hotel is not good value for money hotel but centrally located in for my reason to be there. A small reception is staffed by efficient staff, spoken English is a strong point. The rooms are reasonable if a bit dated, with the full range of facilities. The food is reasonable but promoted 24 catering but kitchen closed mid afternoon. Overall, hotel is not good value for money, but hay that is London.

Conveniently located, and reasonably priced hotel”
The hotel is located in a very fine area of north London, and close to our family which is why we chose it. For the price we paid, offered by Agoda, we find it very acceptable. The room was clean and well lit, and well equipped with telephone, TV, tea and coffee making facilites and a trouser press. The bathroom was fine and the shower was excellent. The beds were comfortable. The hotel, and our room is in need of updating, the decor is tired, and furniture in the room is quite old. The hotel offers very reasonably priced food, and we found the staff very helpful. It is not far from underground stations, and we found it is easy to get a taxi from outside the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay without hesitation.
