Great Place to stay. Quaint hotel. Very pleasant surroundings.”

Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Facilities very good. Small but adequate pool. Jaccuzi also good. My room was spacious, quiet and a comfy bed. Lovely night's sleep. The hotel had a lovely air to it. I'd definitely go again. Yes you have to pay for parking, personally not a problem for me as the room cost was great value. I did find the staff particularly helpful and friendly in reception and in the bar and restaurant. Breakfast was a pleasant experience, lots if choice, minor point the toasters are VERY slow. No real problem. All round very good and I'd be more than happy to stay here again or recommend to others. ❤

Good clean good value hotel for the money”

Impressive lobby, bedrooms large, spacious, breakfast ideal, lots of choice. Attached spa/gym excellent. Steam/sauna rooms working. Location good for Birmingham. No real concerns although bedrooms could benefit from upgrading to include air con as some have no through flow of cool outside air due to position around courtyard. Staff friendly. 9/10.

Nice place, great price. A bit remote, but it wasn't a big problem for me. The only downside is lack of Wi-Fi. If you want Wi-Fi in your room, you need to pay £7 extra per day!! This is XXI century and I had WiFi included even in 3rd world countries, so what is that? The problem is that Agoda offer said that WiFi is included.

I found the venue to be really good. The room very comfortable and clean with everything I needed. Nothing broken or shabby anywhere other than the dining room chairs need reupholstered. The inclusive dinner was a little expensive but very pleasant. The desert was fabulous choices and tasted great. Breakfast was good with a good selection My only criticism of staff was the receptionists - not very welcoming and friendly - I was tired after the journey and asked probably a lot of questions. Altogether a very enjoyable stay though

The atrium style lobby was really attractive and I liked the breakfast area off to the side too. Our room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was surprised there wasn’t room service during our three day stay but assume that’s to keep costs down. My husband needed ear-plugs to sleep due to a noisy wedding party. These were the only down points. It was a good base for our stay.

Nice staff however wanted to pay for £10 for a later check out so stayed the second day at another hotel should of been just complimentary had there been space. The first guy I spoke to advised ok Over phone then the lady I spoke to face to face said required payment. The jacuzzi was not in function. No second towel for my partner no towel / bath mat for floor of bathroom . I will stay elsewhere next time . Not what I’m used to in regards hospitality and room requirements for towels. No return visit for me.

It is an old building and owners have not bothered to improve electrical installations inside the rooms (no bedside or tableside sockets, usb terminals etc. to charge or plugin devices. -shower leaked and there was poor water pressure from sure. - toilet had brownish creamy thing on the floor next to the commode ?was it shit from previous customer? Not really sure. - no foid or drinks service after 10pm. I had to go to gas station 500metres away from the hotel to buy stuff like water, snacks etc. - counter staff was very nice and helpful. - nice gym with range of equipement. -lovely sauna and steam room - small swimming pool and half of it was off limits for hotel guests due to ongoing coaching for kids (didn't realise hotel swimming pools are used for coaching) - overnight parking was a freaking £10/- - parking location was next to the hotel dump site

    Not a ‘Spa’”

I stayed here for three nights and wouldn’t stay here again. Rooms: Not the room as pictured in the booking. Small bath. Carpet didn’t feel clean so had to wear something on feet all the time. Room had funny smell to it. Spacious though. Window opening restricted. No tea/coffee/toiletries in room - you have to ask for these at reception and you are given cardboard cups. Very thin plastic cups in room. Restaurant I never saw anyone use the restaurant, in fact during the day there was nobody around at all just really loud annoying music being played in the lobby. The ‘java lounge’ is non-existent - you just have to ask someone for a coffee. I asked for a menu for dinner and was told it wouldn’t be in the restaurant it was bar only. She also only had a ‘room service’ menu to give me. Given the lack of facilities etc I decided food would not be good and was expensive so went to local Brewers Fayre instead for dinner and breakfast. Spa Well it’s not a spa because the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi seemed to be permanently out of use. I have since seen this in other reviews. I don’t think you can call yourself a ‘spa’ if you’ve just got a pool. The pool was warm which was nice but the sunbed cushions looked absolutely filthy. There was also nowhere to put your used towels. The staff at this hotel are doing their best and are very friendly and helpful but knowing what I do now I would probably opt for the Holiday Inn or Premier Inn and give this one a miss in future.

    Above average”

Room was clean but could do with new carpets. You have to pay extra for car parking, spa facilities ( when their working) and breakfast £10 per head. Don’t expect to have a late night cap before bed as the bar shuts at 10pm. We didn’t eat here so can’t comment on the food.
