I took my 2 grown up daughters to Chester for a girly night away. It cost between £6 & £7 in a taxi into chester 5 mins away. Lots of free parking at the hotel. The hotel is dated but clean and well kept. Staff were superb. We got a fan for our room within mins of asking. The swimming pool was lovely the gardens are beautiful. Breakfast absolutely fine. We would certainly be happy to use it again if you dont mind it being a little dated there was nothing we could fault.

We arrived to be told they didn't have a room that would fit our family of four in, with booking through Agoda the hotel didn't have our number to call us prior and discuss. The hotel were great in sorting us out two rooms, which worked well for us in the end. Very friendly and helpful staff. For the money the rooms were great, yes they were dated, but perfectly good enough for the price you pay. Bed sheets were a little narrow to cover the very wide bed, but again for the cost not an issue. Second time there and would stay again.

The hotel has an old world charm. The general public areas were newly re-conditioned. tasteful and comfortable and very clean. Our Bathroom had been parter-furbished, The rest of the bed room was in need of some TLC, very comfortable but showing signs of wear. very comfortable stay.

Good location, swimming pool, gym good, reception area good and breakfast satisfactory. The front of the hotel is looking very tired as are the corridors to rooms. If I was to drive by I wouldn't be inclined to book which is a shame as its good inside

Recently stopped for a couple of nights with my mum. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and the spa facilities were lovely. The masseuse was excellent and we felt very relaxed afterwards.

Brilliant rest if you are going to the zoo”
We have used this hotel for the past ten years and always find it to be great. It's ideal from the zoo 8 mins away it has the swimming pool which the kid's love. The decor is dated and my children's carpet had a ted stain on the carpet but wasn't a biggie. As it's just somewhere to get our head's down and then going swimming the following morning. had a lovely couple of nights stay here for New year, staff really friendly, lovely breakfast, lovely garden. good location not too far from chester and cheshire oaks. only downsides is the hotel is tired, old & scruffy looking in areas, scratched doors, chipped & marked paintwork. dont expect a fancy spa, changing rooms scruffy looking in places, tv didnt have a great reception so couldn't watch most of channels, remote didnt have any batteries and the window didnt shut/ lock properly.

The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. Our room was a good size for me, my husband and our 2 year old and although in need of an update it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast wasn't worth the price, especially for our toddler who didn't eat much. I wouldn't eat there if we stayed again. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, this area could do with an update. Several areas are abit tired or in need of repair but I would stay again if the price was right. Location was great for Chester Zoo and the Park n Ride to the city centre.

Good value but has a 70’s feel about it. ”
Good value for money, nice location and the room was fairly adequate with a nice Bed. Staff were also friendly. This Hotel is very tired though and badly needs bringing up to date. It Has a very 1970’s feel about it. The TV in the room looks like it could of featured on the Antiques roadshow. I did not use the spa facilities so cannot comment on those.
