Find Bungalows in Bohol, Philippines

Well, I was little worried when I saw the review on Agoda. Bue we and my partner we decided to book here and check by ourselves. At the end we stayed 2 more days!! 1. Staff super friendly, nice and helpful for everything. 2. Food is great. I heard the Thai chef from Pattaya. 3. Location just in front of the beach you can wake up with sound of wave. If you expect like 5 stars hotel and resort. Don't come. But! If you are beach lover and like to enjoy the local stlye you will love there. One thing,When I stayed there the water didn't come well but no problem! I kept the water in the bucket (it was already in the shower room)and pour on my head and body. Also, you can ask for Taxi service for Bohol city tour. The Driver Ruwell(?) was very kind and he tried to show us many things and explained about Bohol. Very recommendable and we will be back there for next holiday again!

This is a small paradise, it’s not a 5 stars hotel, obviously, but for the price it is amazing. Very well maintained though probably old. I never cook while traveling but the kitchen looked so welcoming that we found ourselves making breakfest. It’s very peaceful and I think that, unless you want to overpay for a fancy 5-star hotel, this is the choice! It also looks way better than on the pictures! Oh and beer in the fridge was only 30 php which is cheaper than at shop.

Staff girls are really cool, helpful and lovely. All rooms are very spacious , clean and comfort. Very near to Alona beach and you can book your Bohol tours with them little cheaper compared to outside travel agencies. We didn't find any Indian restaurant near by to have some spicy food for our dinner then the staff helped us providing the necessary ingredients and vegetables to cook for ourselves in their kitchen. This turned our stay at Bananaland Cottages more comfortable. They accommodated our request to change to another room without any additional charges. We first stayed Nipahut Cottage Room is old Filipino traditional house, the challenge with this house is, ants if you throw food on the floor and moths if you switch on light in the night time. Next day, we changed to an apartment room. If we go to Bohol again, this is the place to go for sure.

We are so happy that we found this little paradies! Junior, his wife Mesia and their children as well as the rest of the family are incredible friendly, warm-hearted, helpful and lovely people... we feld immediately like home! Their credo is „Come as a guest, leave as a friend.“. And they truely live it! The food is just delicious and the portions are big! We went dolphin and whale watching with Junior since he is a fisherman and he knows exactly where to go and what is the best time. He respects the nature in a perfect way and would not approch the sea life too quick or aggressive. It was an ovewhelming experience we‘ll never forget. The island itself is a hidden gem. So if you want to get away from noisy, overcrowded places and experience the wonders of mother nature this is the place to be! The beach front cottages are simple, clean, spacious with little useful shelfes and and 2 beds (queensize and standard size) with mosquito and private bathrooms. We‘ll come back!

From the moment Nelly & I arrived we felt so blessed to have chosen this place which was like our own personal 5 star Hotel with Private Elite Super Clean pool. Thus had Wow factor. Nicely appointed clean Modern Bungalow unit with a reliable bathroom shower and extra free mouthwash toothbrushes razors toothpaste proper body wash and branded shampoo so on. Great induction cooktop microwave fridge and they even let us use their spare room in Freezer for our ice.Free beer and softdrinks in the fridge & a delicious Pastrie. comfortable lounger and good bed. Blue tooth speaker hooked up to amazon - just need to speak out your songs to Alexia!We had a lot of fun!!Ellen was a supurb host and went the extra mile so many times. Fixing the hob top straight away when it broke down and let us use theirs while the other one didnt go.Recomending all the tourist sites to see and just being friendly to chat to. Property was immaculate.Perhaps a internet booster would be the only improvement.Thks Ellen

We had such a pleasant stay. The owners are really friendly and welcoming, they make a simple but nice breakfast and you have the opportunity to have dinner (with a nice bottle of wine!). The bungalow + surrounding is great. There is a pool, a nice garden and you can rent scooters. We loved the location: it's quiet but also close to town and other must see sights. We recommend to take the scooters to chocolate hills!
