Good budget hotel”
I think one of the best budget hotel at chinatown area. The room im in is really clean. Previously i went to porcelain hotel at chinatown, room was very dusty. So i expected this place to be at the same standard so i brought isopropyl alcohol and wipes to disinfect the room. But to my surprise, the room was very clean. The only downside is that the toilet is quite short and the water is too high seems like it might overflow anytime. Haha. And when u sh*t it will float. My boyfriend didn't want to sh*t bcus of that. Hahahha. Its quite funny. But overall staff was good, place was clean. The corridor smells pleasant too. Highly recommended.

Great Location for our stay”
The location of the hotel was ideal, close to MRT train and local restaurants and bars. The hotel staff was friendly and very clean. We were comfortable with the hotel room, but read the square footage of the room, it is smaller but you won’t mind when all you do is sleep and shower in the room. This was a very small hotel room as compared to others I’ve stayed in, but the cleanliness and the staff made my stay VERY VERY comfortable. My partner and I were very happy with this hotel and would stay here again.

Thank you butternut tree hotel for our room last sept 3-7, 2019. We had a great stay at your hotel. Friendly and accomodating staff. They let us used our room too early because of our earliest arrival at singapore. They clean our room everyday and changed our towels everytime they cleaned our room.during check out They let our baggage left at the hotel for us to go around the city. A Neat Hotel”
Butternut Tree is located at a convenient location. It is close by to the Outram Park MRT, to the main street and nearby to Maxwell Hawker Center. The neighborhood itself is friendly and the environment is very clean. Hotel staff is also very helpful and the room is very neat and cozy. However, you need to make a refundable deposit of S$ 100 either using a credit card or by cash. However, during my check-in they did not accepted AMEX cards for making the deposit. Would recommend Butternut tree for anyone and would gladly pick this great hotel again.

Excellent hotel”
We stayed here for 2 nights in room 315. The room was a bit bigger than others we have stayed in, the airconditioner worked great, beds were really comfortable, TV only had a few channels, safe in the room, no mini bar (only bottled water) but that wasn't a problem for us. Staff were very nice & helpful. There are lots of restaurants in this area & it is located within walking distance of Chinatown. The only negative I have is that there is a cocktail bar/restaurant directly across the road & it was very noisy late into the night.

BEST BEST BEST”
This is my first time to visit singapore. Never been here before, just pick and try. The price is very good, good facility, staff is very nice and helpful and i love that. The most important thing is the location. Very nice location, easy to find (in front of potato head singapore) and near bus stop and 2 MRT Station (Chinatown MRT Station-500m & Outram MRT Station-400m). There's a 7-Eleven near hotel. I will stay here again when i visit singapore next time. I recommend everyone who read this post to try this hotel. Thank you Butternut Tree Hotel and Thank you singapore for the experience.

Exceptional”
I was very satisfied to stay at this hotel. I was so happy to meet the crew from this hotel. They were very kind and friendly. And the room condition was better than my guess from reviews. If I need to be back in Singapore I will stay here again. I moved to another hotel near here but I miss this place. You need to know ’what did you pay for’. If you have enough budget to choose the better place. Such as worldwide chain of Hotel. Here is not a bad choice between same level and price. And don't believe that rate or ranks from the booking agent websites. I’m staying in another hotel near here even though they got better rates, ranks and more expensive but I’m disappointed in the new hotel.

-Hotel is near bus and mrt stations. -They have front desk 24/7, staffs are friendly and very accommodating. -towels are changed every other day, comforter upon request. -Free coffee and bottled water -clean bedsheet and pillow. -Aircon is good, room is clean, they have hot water for shower. -Place is very clean. Worth every money. Thank you to friendly frontdesk staffs!

Cozy little hotel. The room is nice although the bathroom is quite small, but you have everything you need in this hotel. The area around the hotel is nice, with many cafe and beautiful oldies building. Very near with the famous foodcourt in chinatown. The lady in front desk is very nice and helpfull, she was helping us a lot as i made a mistake during booking through agoda. The staff hospitality is great, they provide us with many information about singapore as we were first timer.

I really had a great stay here. My room is small but clean. It has everything that I need from daily water, a hot kettle with instant coffee, fast internet, own private restroom, and comfortable bed. Really value for money. Location is good too! Near Outram Station, and most of Chinatown's tourist spots are walkable.

Easy to explore the city from the hotel. The hotel is very clean and modern it's small but good. The reception very kind and polite but you have to pay deposit 200s$ and get back when check out. Next time I will come to stay here again.

Excellent Service”
This is not the fitst time i stayed here. Numerous time at most. You have an excellent service staff who never fails to smile day in and day out. They ade polite and friendly all the time. Im sorry i cant remember their names very well but all the staff working on my duration of stay, 8th - 10th March, are superb. Thank you for making my stay homely and comforint always.

Small but comfy hotel”
At first sight i was worry with the room size, but after settle down i think it is the perfect size for a couple to snuggle. Located in the heart of chinatown i expect it to be noisy and crowded but (thankfully) it is calm and quiet. Sadly we stay there for a one night transit, so only have the lucury to stroll the surrounding late at night and in the morning, but theres lots of good food there located near the people complex and maxwell food court

Everything was great. Room is small (as expected from a hotel room in Singapore!) but is perfectly fine for sleeping in. Location is excellent. Staff are helpful, and we were allowed to keep our bags there after we checked out. Lots of nice decorations around the hallways makes it feel very homely.

Great Location, Comfortable and Helpful Staff”
Location is good. MRT station within walking distance. There's a big food court center nearby at the back of the hotel with variety of food. At night, the area nearby within walking distance have many drinking and dining places. 7 Eleven is a stone throw away. The room though small have everything sufficient for a comfortable stay. The entire hotel feels cozy. Check in and out was a breeze. Staffs were helpful and attentive. I can't ask more for what I paid. Will come back again, for sure.

Clean, excellent location and friendly staff”
Stayed 4 nights on a work trip in room 213, which was at the back of the hotel with a window so was quiet and away from the main street. The room was clean, compact and bathroom looked newly renovated. Location was excellent, close to the MRT, eateries and bars as well as only 5-10mins from the CBD so was easy to catch a Grab if need be. Would highly recommend staying here for 1-2 travellers.

The location is superb, in the middle of chinatown and close to dining places and MRT. Although it was in the middle of a busy area, the room was very quiet, the only thing you could hear was the temple in the morning. Great staff, wonderful stay!
