Best location”
Totally enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Arrived at 1pm, they allowed us early check-in. Checking-in was a breeze, the staff were very helpful. Location was a big plus. TV was not functioning, though who would watch TV when you went to Subic for a swim. Restaurant was not yet open but a nearby Central Park Reef resort has a good restaurant. Will definitely stay here again.

Impressed and somewhat embarrassed during my stay-Impressed by the cleanliness, professional staff, superb amenities, good food, high speed internet, comfortable bed and nice linens - Embarrassed because I have been going to Barretto nearly every weekend for 22 years and this is the first time I stayed at By the Sea. It is my new favorite hotel / resort and I will be staying at this place on the weekends from now on

Central Location in Baretto Subic”
Big plus was its own parking lot rather than parking on the street. Decent rooms for the price and it's right by the beach. Would recommend to stay at again.

I thought it was pretty good I stayed in the newer building. Clean and great staff. Can walk to entertainment, restaurants, 7-11. Right on the beach although, not the best beach. One of the better hotels in Subic for sure.

Hope you can do somethig to your shower.. water for the faucet doesn't turn off even though you are using the shower head... and water doesn't drain fast... then for the free breakfast, there should be more choices for your guest who don't eat pork...

Good place. Staffs are very accommodating. They, however, did not clean our room until i asked them to clean. They said that i needed to display the “request to clean” sign to the door for them to clean it 🙃. Overall, it’s a great value for money.

Great beach front location”
We spent a weekend in a family room and it was basically clean and spacious with 2 queen size beds. The beach, pool, and bar restaurant are just a short walk away. Beach is relatively clean and water is clear. The pool is quite small though and just enough for a dip. I highly suggest that they provide hot and cold water dispensers in public spaces or an electric kettle in each room. I tried to ask around for hot water at 4 or 5am and had to wait for the bar to open at 7am. The staff are accommodating and friendly.
