Great location! Nice room with hot shower and air conditioning! The staff are all friendly and always smiling! Breakfast at the rooftop with sea view, delicious waffles! Free shuttle transfer to/from the port or the airport.

Location is well situated near the boulevard and the public market. During our stay, the fire station siren was going off like crazy, I assumed it was a drill. Since the hotel is located right in front of it, and you are sensitive to noise, you might want to rethink staying here. The rooftop breakfast buffet was good; the selection was either hearty Filipino breakfast or cereals and bread.

The room was spacious - perfect for my hubby and me as I am never a light traveler. My reservations include spotty cleanliness of the bathroom and the electric water kettle. Breakast fare, though filling, is not for me, though. But on the whole, food was OK. Indeed, I would go back to this hotel - definitely good vaue for money.

Nice modern hotel to stay in Dumaguete”
C & L Bay View Inn was a great budget hotel to stay in due to its proximity/walking distance to the boulevard baywalk, bars, restos and the pier (where we boarded a boat to Siquijor Island). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean, with a new TV and aircon. Furthermore, there is a good view of the city and sea from the rooftop restobar. The only problem with the room is that they put an artsy-fartsy WINDOW in between the bedroom and bathroom which adversely affects one's privacy. So do not book a twin-sharing room in this hotel unless your roommate is your partner or a close friend of the same gender.

My favorite hotel in Dumaguete”
Dumaguete is a wonderful city, located on one side at the sea with a wonderful view to the Island of Siquihor and Cebu, on the other side with a view over the city to the hills inside the island. With this hotel you can choose what view you like: the sea with the sunrise or the hills with the sunset. This time is had hill view: wonderful. I recommend this hotel, it got my favorite place in Dumaguete. Why: - Great view, depending to what side you choose - Good and clean rooms with good equipment and working WiFi Nice and helpful staff - Nice restaurant (breakfast included) on the top of the building with a wonderful panorama view and good meals - Good location with many shops, restaurants, malls and the cathedral in walking distance, with a 2 minutes’ walk to the Rizal Boulevard and the sea. Note: when you arrive by bus from the Ceres Liner bus station or come from the ferry terminal: the fee for a tricycle ride inside Dumaguete is 8 Pesos, with a bit bag maybe the double. They asked me 300 Pesos! I am a friendly person: I payed 20 Pesos.

Great location, good value, my preferred choice in Dumaguete”
The C&L Bayview is a great hotel at its price point and location in Dumaguete. Everything is nearby and they have a free shuttle to the bus terminal, ferry, and airport. The only real negative is that their roofdeck restaurant is very poorly run. The food quality is ok but the service suffers from lack of good supervision. It could be one of the best places to eat in Dumaguete due to its stunning views. Unfortunately, it is not. However, the hotel itself (and staff) are excellent. Highly recommended.

comfy bed.. garish colours”
stay in C&L was all in all a good stay. The room was pleasant. although it was a non smoking hotel, the room has a balcony where we can step out to smoke. the bed was very very comfortable however, the colours blue with pink ruffles really was alittle a tad too much for me. even the green and yellow coroporate colours of C&L really wasnt as pleasant as i wish it could be. the best thing however was the roofdeck. had dinner there with the live band. was a nice place. just hope though they can repair that elevator so we dont have to walk up the 2 floors to get to the roof. the view from the roof was amazing too. so remember your camera. Dinner foodwise it was worth it.. especially the meat platter and the calamari. yum yum.. although, the breakfast served pales in comparison, when the longanissa being served was really petite to eat with rice.. gone too soon i would have said. haha try the pancakes though. they are not bad.. Location wise is good too as it is within walking distance to the boulevard and the acacia trees which Dumaguete is known for as well as the beautiful clock tower.. the hotel is nice.. although in need for a better colour selections and a repair to that elevator..

Very Nice Stay”
Our first trip to Dumaguete and a very pleasant stay at the Bay View. It was a great value for the money with a very large and comfortable room. Like most hotels that I have stayed in while in the Philippines, the air conditioner was positioned to blow onto the bed. But the only real "issue" I had was that its only restaurant was outside on the roof. Nice location, but sometimes rather uncomfortable for me, given the heat and humidity. Still, I would return.

Great Location/Value for Money”
One of the tallest building in Dumaguete where at the roof top you can see 360 view of the city. It is near the boulevard where the night life and many restaurants. The room is not that big but it is ok for me coz Im alone. from twin beds that I booked. they allow me to change to one big double bed. they accomodate my late check out with some minimal fee. The receptionists are just new. They still have to know many things. The guards (especially Arnel) have more knowledge than them especially when it comes wt the tours and the island. The staff are friendly. They easily grant my requests. I will go back to this hotel.

The C&L Bayview Inn is a nice, basic, hotel. It doesn't offer a lot of thrills, or fancy rooms, but it provides a clean comfortable room that is perfect for a short stay. It is in walking distance of all there is to do in Dumaguete. It is a block from the ocean and near all the Dumaguete restaurants and nightlife. I would definitely stay there the next time I am in Dumaguete.

excellent views even from my room, which faced the city plaza and the belltower. From the roof deck one enjoyed a view of the tip of Cebu Island and Sumilon Island, Siquijor, the sea passage to Dapitan, the Cuernos de Negros mountains, and the plaza of Dumaguete. Good value for money. Even free airport transfers! Very pleasant and respectful staff.

Good choice in Dumaguete”
We stayed for 3 nights and were very pleased with the size of the room, standard matrimonial on the 6th floor, very large bed, the wifi is good and good Tv with lots of English channels. The shower is the best I have had in the Philippines the water is so hot and good pressure. Breakfast is good and served on the rooftop which has a lovely view. They had a band Friday and Saturday night which was too loud when sitting in the restaurant but didn't disrupt us when in our room. From our balcony we could see the bell tower. Would recommend as a good choice in Dumaguete. 10 min walk to Ceres Liner bus station and 15 min to Robinsons Mall. Don't forget to contact them for free pick up from airport and port which was very much appreciated and a bonus.

Value for Money”
No complaints here just all praises for this hotel. It is very near to all places of interest in Dumaguete. Rooms are reasonably priced. Tthe rooms are clean. Had pprobllems initiially with the aircon but it was fixed immediately. The rooms are small built for Asians like me. Restaurant serves good food too.
