Extremely comfortable”

I stayed with a friend as we were having a night out drinking and eating in Birmingham. The room and bathroom were clean and modern, towels white and fluffy, bed sheets spotless and the mattress so comfortable I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in months. Got a great deal through Agoda including breakfast, (a large selection of cooked breakfast and bakery items served in a bright and airy restaurant area. It really hit the spot. Cheap parking in Moor St for £7 for the total time we were there. Great value for the city and just a 5 min walk from the hotel. All in all, a big thumbs up. We would definitely stay again when returning to Birmingham.

Near to Shopping Mall”

Took a coach from London airport and alighted at Birmingham New Street Station (about 3hrs). Walked less than 7mins (in fact u will see the hotel since when u're turning into the Station). Hotel is modern with basic facilities. Consider big for a standard room and the complimentary cookies are nice. Near to a convenience store (just cross the road) and very near to shopping district (just a straight road to Birmingham City Centre-huge malls with lots of popular labels) Superset store is HUGE there and many others too. Food-wish...the hotel is near to 'chinatown' with many Chinese outlets (but not recommended by friends to try out though). It is less than 5mins walk. Overall, modern, convenient, spacious and rather value-for-money.

great hotel”

Spacious room with full facilities. Breakfast provided pretty good. Spacious and beautiful lobby. located at the center of Birmingham . Just walking distance to Bullring shopping center, moor st rail station, Birmingham University, etc. Very pleasant stay at this hotel

Need to clean ”

Reception staff not friendly at all. Very unprofessional no smile in their faces. I was very disappointed my bed was very dirty with red things in the bed. Apsulutly disappointing who ever done my bed. First time I stayed in this hotel experience was not nice at all. I hope hotel management should take my reviews seriously.

Great location and modern hotel”

Great location all within a walking distance, good size room, room was nice and clean. I love the shower. It’s a modern hotel. Will definitely stay there again when we go to Birmingham

Very enjoyable time ”

Everything about the Clayton Hotel was lovely. The hotel was spotlessly clean and modern. All of the staff were lovely and very well mannered and the food at breakfast and bar food was lovely and very good portions. I will definitely stay at the Clayton Hotel anytime I'm in Birmingham as I couldn't fault it in anyway. Well done and keep up the good work. I hope to stay in the Clayton Hotel again and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Thank you for making my time there enjoyable.

Good location, clean and comfortable stay ”

Very clean, comfortable room. Good bathroom facilities. Plenty of options at breakfast for all. Sadly the air con made a loud buzzing sounds for around 30 mins after switching off late at night. Mobile reception was poor but WiFi available. Good location for my work meeting, the train stations and the bullring. Would stay again despite the air con issue.

Travelling into Moor Street on the chiltern line from Stratford upon Avon the location of this hotel is perfect being next door to the station. It’s also right next to Selfridges and the Bull ring and now this is connected to the new street Grand central shopping centre with loads of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is roomy, friendly well equipped and great value. We had a family impromptu night there for heating and showers when our boiler broke down. Fun was had by all four of us staying in the hotel and enjoying Birmingham. The hotel staff were so helpful finding rooms next door to each other so we could be close to our children. Thank you Clayton hotel team for helping us when we needed it! : ) lovely.

Excellent, memorable stay!”

This is a beautiful hotel in a brilliant location for New Street Station and Bull ring. The staff were efficient , very helpful and friendly. Our every need was attended to. The rooms were beautiful and we were give adjoining rooms so as we could ensure our elderly mum was happy and settled for the night. The evening meal and breakfast were 1st class. The presentation and cleanliness of the room and hotel in general were first class. The only thing I would suggest would be to increase the number of bar staff. There were a lot of large groups in the bar and only one young man in attendance. He was working his socks off..... with a smile. All in all a great venue and one we will certainly re-visit. Highly recommend this hotel.

Need more bar staff!”

We stayed for one night and would recommend that they employ a dedicated cocktail maker. Three staff, one couidn't work tills, one couldn't pour drinks and only one could make cocktails which meant VERT long waits.at the bar, Apparently thsi has been happening for a while. Such a shame as everything else including the staff were excellent. Car park was £15.00 and as we arrived early the first day and left late on the second itwas a cheap way to park and ideal spot for the Bull ring. Lovely rooms including comfy beds and breakfast was superb. Staff were happy and courteous

A really nice hotel”

The good : Staff, rooms, location, price, design, massive shower, and, most importantly, lots of milk and teabags supplied - yummy! The not so good: £18 for breakfast? I don't think so. Pillows were not great - a shame as the bed is really comfy.

Lovely stay”

The reception staff were very attentive and helped with any queries i had. The cleanliness is second to none. As a business traveller on a budget, it would have been nice to have a cheaper alternative to eat. Although the restaurant looked fabulous, sadly i was unable to sample it.

Good ”

It was 10 minutes walk from train station. Everything is fine and the staff was very helpful as they help us call a cab to another city. One disappointing thing is that they don't Do early check-in even at 12:30.

Excepcional”

Lovely hotel, absolutely spotless. Brilliant location within city centre. Staff were very friendly. The cost of accommodation was very reasonable, however, bar prices and restaurant I found to be very expensive. I would recommend staying here.

Another great stay at the La Tour in Birmingham, we will definitely be back again!”

Greeted by friendly and efficient staff. Rooms were gorgeous and nice and cool. Spent some time in the bar during the evenings and the live music was an nice addition. Only thing we were disappointed with was that we couldn't get a bar snack when we returned from a concert we were just told no at the bar, not given any other information that we could have room service (reception told us this). Apart from this we had a great time and will definitely return as the hotel is in such a great position for shopping and attending a concert.

Great hotel”

Arrived for a few days away with my sister, check in easy, parked in car park 5 mins walk from hotel, £7 for the duration of stay, ask hotel to validate ticket. We had booked a twin room, it was spacious enough for us, very modern and very clean, staff were all very helpful and polite. Restaurant and bar was good , happy hour between 5-7 for cocktails was a bonus. Hotel is situated about a ten minute walk to the bull ring shopping . I would definitely return and recommend this hotel, brilliant time away

Weekend break ”

We didn't travel as a group exactly. I was with my daughter for a weekend city break. We've been to London, Rome, the Veneto, Leeds etc and someone recommended Birmingham. The deal I got at La Tour was pretty good. The hotel has beautiful public spaces, friendly staff and a very good breakfast. We also had an excellent meal at Mr White's too though I wish it had been pointed out that the bill included a service charge as I gave the wonderful staff a generous tip. Food and service were excellent. Room small but perfectly adequate. Very comfortable beds and fantastic large towels. We felt that the bedding and towels were changed daily as each of the three evenings everything seemed new and fresh. My only moans - the electronic air-conditioning control was hit and miss; not much wardrobe hanging space and hangers for two women (!) and not much in the way of toiletries ( no shower cap!) I'd certainly recommend this hotel.

Good value for money, great room”

I have some awkward requests for my room and the staff were very accommodating, as for location, value for money, cannot be faulted! My only gripe, we arrived late, there was no concierge, no car parking, which was alarming!

Lovely hotel shame about the shower”

Lovely hotel, the bull ring shopping centre just down the road.. breakfast was plentiful.. the only downside was the shower. You could not have a decent shower as the water flooded out all over the bathroom and into the bedroom.

Great central hotel”

One or two quirks as mentioned by others such as the revolving entrance to the hotel, the shower water pressure was not great. On the flip side the staff are friendly and really helpful. The room was well laid out with a comfy bed. Excellent central location ,smart modern decor, all round a really enjoyable stay
