Could be good!”

We had a variety of issues which led to us checking out after one night. If you get the right room this could be a good hotel, in a great area and staff member dealt with our problems as best they could. Main issue was our room must have been directly above the kitchen and it stank of cooking fat, even the staff member said it was terrible but there were no other rooms available. Parking was difficult, the sofa bed was not made up (no linen provided until asked) and both taps only ran hot. However bed was comfy and it’s more interesting and cheaper than the chain hotel we are now in.

The Reception area and staff were the best part about this hotel. The rest of it is in serious need of both investment, some SERIOUS deep cleaning and attention to detail. My room had the curtains hanging off the ends of the rails. The carpets were sticky, both in the hallways and rooms. My room wasn't cleaned for one day (which I wouldn't have minded if I had been expecting it). Location was very convenient, but overall, it was not a pleasant experience.

Well located for Clifton. Parking on site which is helpful in Bristol. The receptionist was vey helpful.

Not a place for good nights sleep. Very noisey rooms with bad smells from kitchen no air con, can't close windows, not sure they would have made any difference

Noisy rooms on ground floor and bin lorries come round at stupid o'clock. I had bottles being tipped into a wagon at 5am outside my window. Food is a bit pricey downstairs.

Fabulous location ”

I used to live in Westbourne Place and frequented Racks. Great location and friendly staff Service in Racks was really slow, friendly but really slow so I wouldn’t recommend if you’re in a rush! I didn’t eat at the hotel but food looked good. Breakfast at £9.50 is cheap for a hotel but places around the area if this is above your budget. Rooms are small but have everything in, also fresh fruit and freshly ground coffee. There is water but in the mini bar which you have to pay for which is a bit odd for a hotel of that standard. Beds are comfortable, too soft for me as I have a bad back and like a rock hard bed so I am suffering but I would think 98% of people would be fine. Small car park a couple of roads away, 2 minutes walk away if that. Useful for around there as streets are busy and nigh on impossible to park. Lovely hotel, location and staff and would recommend.

The room was very hot during both day and night, granted it was a hot day but didn't cool down. Thank God for the fan in the room.

All good. Lovely comfy beds and small touches such as fruit. Only issue was water from the shower which was far too hot in the evening & we couldn’t turn tap further to cool it. Seemed ok in the morning.

Not very clean at all, shower didn’t work, the sheets seemed clean but the duvet had blood stains and yellow marks underneath. The kettle was awful limescale floating really bad ad was full on arrival so I suppose it’s to be expected. I appreciate it’s a budget hotel so I didn’t expect a lot for my money but I did expect a little more with the cleanliness. On check in I was told about the restaurant and told their availability was really good, turned up at 6 to be told they were fully booked all evening. On check out receptionist didn’t even look up at us so just put the key on the desk. Oh and last but not least don’t use the mini bar go to the shop and stock up.

Nice hotel in the elegant Clifton area right in the centre of town. Room was good and comfortable. The only downside was the shower not working very well.

The hotel was in a good area of Bristol in a GeorgIan terrace and was comfortable and quiet. ”

The hotel was in a street of elegant Georgian houses with an impressive entrance and in a quiet area. Its distance from the city centre was more than offset by the price. Its 24 hour reception makes it ideal for those attending events in the city centre, as I was. The staff were polite and helpful and the room was fine.

Super location, lovely staff, good value hotel”

The hotel staff (reception and cleaning) were friendly and helpful. The room was small but at a good price for such a great location, very close to museums, art galleries and the university. Parking is £8 in a secure, off-street garage, which is very good value. The hotel's restaurant seemed lively and popular ( I was eating out with friends, otherwise 'd have tried it). The room was quiet and very well appointed. It had a fan in it for the extra hot weatherbut with the window open a little there was always a pleasant breeze. There were a couple of small hiccups with booking and facilities, but staff dealt with these swiftly and pleasantly, so there was no problem. I would stay there again.

Nice location friendly staff, all basic amenities. Room small and noisy. Listened to noisy air con and guy in next room snoring. Cold shower. Hidden charges need to pay to park in very tight car park!

Great pit stop ”

Good location, clean rooms and facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Beds were a bit soft and springy but otherwise ok.
