Idioma”

Creo que un hotel de 4 estrellas debe tener personal en recepción que conozca un idioma como el español. Coincidimos con tres distintos y ninguno de ellos sabia. Buen servicio, pero considero que deben conocer el español.

Excepcional”

Really nice staff, great location with bus stop just outside. Room was perfect for an over night stay.

Rooms tiny”

The room was ridiculously small and very hot had to open main door on the corridor to get air

Acceptable”

Still had other travellers hairs in the bathroom. Also had insects in the room. Staff was rude and didn’t even offer a refund! Worst hotel to come if you had a long journey. Took me 1 hour to change my room, only after arguing for one.

Friendly and great value for money ”

Executive rooms are so spacious. The breakfast is brilliant. The staff are so friendly and helpful and chatty., especially the lady on restaurant welcoming you to your table. I came down for my partners works night out which was held in this hotel. If I was ever coming back down to Birmingham I would definitely stay again.

Nothing special”

Dusty room, gave us twin room with no view despite booking double (i was advised to push beds together by the receptionist). Very noisy

Only worth booking if discount is offered. Basic room is incredibly small and not worth the full price they charge. Staff are ok, clean room if a little basic. TV signal is very poor. Some info is out of date, ie still showing an offer from 3 years ago. Bar is over priced.

Good value”

Had a meeting in the hotel and decided to come up the night before when I saw the room rate. Small room but suited me fine and had everything I needed including a desk and good wifi. Buffet breakfast cost £6 at check in and was reasonably good. Good value overall and free parking.

We only use this hotel as it convenient for us when we attend functions in Birmingham. It is basic and clean but the reception area is dark and depressing it would not entice you to spend any time there. Reception staff are abrupt and dismissive.

Good location ”

Pro’s- nice well equipped clean room Dog friendly Cons- £15 extra per dog is a bit expensive, we had 2 small , clean, well behaved cockers spaniels and had to pay £30! surely £15 extra should be if you have dogs not per dog?!

We are regulars at this hotel at it never disappoints. Rooms spacious beds comfortable, spotless, very quiet despite its central location. Staff very polite and friendly. Richard on the front desk is first class! Easy safe secure car park. The best choice for Birmingham or visiting sites close by. Easily accessible from motorways ad road networks.

Good location, but nothing special overall”

Nothing special, just average/good. The room is very small, walls are paper thin (you can hear everything around you) but the hotel is close to the center and has got car park and WiFi included. The downside is the restaurant. I ordered pizza and after 50min the guy gave me Chicago Pizza from local take away and he didn't even bother to take it out of the box or give me any cutlery LOL. I could have ordered it myself for few quid less if I knew that they are going to give me some disgusting take away... but at least the breakfast was nice.

Cold - all areas of the hotel. The staff did their jobs but lacked any kind of warmth. No smiles.”

Although the room had been recently refurbished it was COLD. We did have a heater brought up but it made little difference. Food - where were the vegetables??? I asked for some and the puzzled waitress replied she would see. No vegetables arrived to accompany the fish pie with a hunk of dry bread.

Value for money due to location

They couldn't find my booking”

We spent 30 mins trying to check in but they couldn't find our booking on their system. They said they had never heard of Agoda and did not do business with them. I showed them the paper work which they eventually accepted but did not give us the type of rooms we booked. The WiFi only worked in one room. In the morning although we had booked breakfasts with our Agoda booking they said we were not on their list for breakfast which caused huge embarrassment and delay as we needed to leave early. One supervisor eventually allowed us to eat but we ended up feeling like beggars. The whole experience has put me off either booking future trips through Agoda or with Hallmark.

City double / Caged bird”

Pls may I warn you do not be tight and get the city double room, you will not be able to move and manoover around inside it there is no space!

Suficient”

When we arrived at the hotel they put us in a room with a toilet which didn't work but they try to fix it five minutes later it didn't work again. So they change this the room. change the the room for us without apologizing without helping at all showing us where the room is. Also the level we was on the hall way stank of weed cannabis we told the staff this but we didn't have no information back or any apology on this the date we stayed on here was the 17th of March 2018 Saturday.

All good for me,. But as a no smoking property, it's obvious that the night staff don't take notice of the stench of cigarette smoke that goes on. I stayed on the 5th floor and it stunk of smoke in the early hours.
