Nice place but lot of stuff didn't work”

TV would only give BBC channels the first night then kept getting interference the rest of our stay. Wifi wouldn't work on one of our devices then failed for one day on the other one. Towel rsil was boiling hot snd couldn't be turned down, caught my arm on it twice. We didn't have breskfast as £15 per head seemed rather steep.

Excellent Location, quiet, and friendly staff”

We just stayed on our way to Edinburgh. Excellent place, quaint and peaceful. Not far from Windemere, just a quick drive. Beautiful little place.

Nothing at all I could fault. The staff were so kind and helpful and the building is absolutely gorgeous. It’s set up on a hill so the views are amazing. The food is great and they serve breakfast lunch and dinner. I’ll be going back and recommend to anyone looking to relax.

Nice location, but...”

My wife and I had planned a couple of days in the Lakes to celebrate a special event. Our first day and night, at a former coach inn, had been excellent. We were looking forward to spending the Friday by Windermere at our second location, Merewood, which, on paper, looked to be even better! We were disappointed. Though the setting and our trip around the lake (and on a cruise) had been very relaxing, we checked in to find we had been allocated a tiny room (hardly enough room around the bed for two people to walk about), and when checking out we were given a bill which clearly was not ours! The taster dinner that we had had was good, even though we had been made to feel that we were a couple who couldn't possibly have experienced such a meal before. Dr Dil & Mrs Elizabeth Sen

Lovely Hotel”

A beautiful hotel with a lovely view of the lake from the hillside. Clean, great staff, amenities in the room are of top quality. We were on a tight budget but decided to splurge for one night in an upscale establishment & Merewood did not disappoint.

Stunning view from the hotel premises. ”

I booked this hotel on reading reviews from other travelers about the view from their rooms. However I was allocated a room that had a view of the staff shed. However the property itself is beautiful. It is an old home renovated into a hotel and the lounge and bar area was really beautiful with stunning views of the lake. I will probably stay here again on my next visit to the Lake District but will make sure that I ask for a room with a view.

Very beautiful building in a great location with views of Lake Windermere. Staff were great and the rooms were a decent size. My only complaint is that the stairs are a bit awkward to navigate with large cases.

Upon arrival, the drive up was grand and the hotel is close enough to all the hustle and bustle, but far enough away from the noise to have a relaxing nights sleep. Staff were attentive and customer service focused. We brought a little westie with us and it was liberating for him not to be given a list of does and donts. Just have a great stay...which we did. Will definitely return. 5* hotel

酒店是一栋很漂亮的房子，可以俯瞰到一点温德米尔湖。早餐不太好吃，工作人员也不是很热情。位置上我会建议住在镇子里，离湖也近，有更多吃饭的选择。
