LOUD”

There is a bar underneath the hostel that plays live music until midnight every night. Even with headphones it is incredibly loud - even my bed was shaking. Made the stay very unenjoyable.

Creepy and dry”

When we arrived, the motel looked sleepy and old which was a far cry from the vibrant pictures shown. It smelled weird, and everything inside was outdated except the door locks. Check-in was 3pm and we got there 30 minutes earlier and thought we were scammed as the place looked abandoned, all doors were closed including the main entrance and there was no doorbell or knob to open from the outside. Only guests with key card can access it. We managed to get inside after knocking a few times, receptionist told us they don't open the doors until check-in time which was at 3pm. The room is spacious but has no tables and chairs and no mirror. Bunk beds have low headroom that we have to stoop real low to sit, and room lights were too dim. Their heater did not work and staff said it had a scheduled time, but he didn't bother to find out for us even if he said he would. Their shared bathroom was decent, I think they clean it only once a day. Upon check-out we left the key cards at the counter as there was no one around.

I have to get use to a very loud music in The Lanes Bar in the ground floor till 03:00 am.

Nice hostel, very big, good faculties to cook. Shower room dirty though even at 6.30am in the morning. Comfortable beds with plenty of charging points. Good hostel, will go there again.

Cheap for a reason ”

Room door continuously slamming during night. Didn't seem like guests, but more like staff using the room as a corridor to the door behind. Light switched on around 3 am, which staff seemed to do for later check in. We felt sorry for the sleepers at midnight when the light was turned on for us. Had to wait a while at reception for check in as nobody there. Weren't shown where any facilities were, so had to ask another guest in communal area for the location of showers - which were a very very long way away from the room! Bed was comfy and price good, just could improve greatly on service.

Surprising Good!”

Went to Bristol for a concert and although the reception was hard to find at first, everything else turned out to be a breeze! Would change the bed layouts in the room I was as it didn't give much space, but the mattresses were comfortable and the bedding was soft.

Supernoisy”

I visited here in weekend. Weekend was quite expensive. Kitchen and lounge were big. And my bed was clean and comfortable. But there is a huge drawback. Supernoisy!!! I waked up at 4am. Because i have to heard chatter from outside. If you consider the booking, you should be worry about noisy.

Worst of the worst”

Big dissapointment with the attitude of the staff. After check out, while waiting for the bus, you are asked to leave the hostel immidiately by the staff. You CAN NOT STAY HERE ANYMORE, YOU SHOULD LEAVE THE HOSTEL. Hopping hostel to hostel, first time we asked to leave immidiatley after check out. Have you guys experience this before? Noisy pub was just downstair in the hostel. Spacious common room and breakfast place. Breads, orange, apple, cereal, milk, coffee and tea for breakfast.

Before arriving I read alot of negative reviews, but I got surprised when I arrived. The staff will show you around and show you the facilities. You should expect noise until 2-3AM every night, but otherwise the hostel is great!. Comfy beds, clean and good shower / toilet facilities.

Fantastic Bristol Stay!”

This place fits every piece of Bristol - fun, eclectic, vintage vibe, and super diverse. It was SUPER noisy because of the bar/club music (either next door or below the hostel, I'm not too sure where it was at?), but it was also a Friday night. The hostel room (a 12-bed mixed) was super clean/cozy, and I felt like my belongings were perfectly safe. The staff was incredibly helpful and the breakfast was a huge perk! I've stayed at a fair share of hostels, and this one's on my top three of favorites. Highly recommend!

Gents loos need attention”

The showers were great! But the loos were not flushing properly and therefore messy and not nice.

UNBEARABLY NOISY!”

I understand this is a hostel and everyone is having fun on weekend, but the noise is TOTALLY UNBEARABLE. Even ear plugs can't work because the entire building is vibrating, you can't even have a nap.

Suficient”

Convenient location and reasonable for the price but really needs to work on cleanliness - bathroom and shower cubicles smelled and were steamy and dirty despite regular cleaning

Noisy and grotty”

i stayed in the 20-bed dorm for 3 nights. 1) Kitchen is big but not clean, 2) Shower rooms are in a different floor, 3) Room is next to the common area where people are about and noisy throughout the WHOLE NIGHT and the reception did nothing 4) Room is on top of a bowling alley and you can hear all of it in the room. 5) beds do not have curtains so there is a lack of privacy 6) Guests keep turning on lights during the night - there should be a lights off rule but we were never told this. 7)Common area is big and there is a ping pong table but overall its a bit dated and grotty.

Noisy ”

The ground floor was a bar, and my room was at the first floor. It’s extremely noisy that I couldn’t sleep for 2 nights!!! The noisiest hostel I’ve ever stayed. But the location was excellent, just 5-min walking to coach station. And stuff was quite friendly and nice.

Suficient”

very dirty in kitchen. no clean pots/pans. room is smelly and small. toilet is smelly. no locker. good free breakfast.

Best motel in Bristol ”

I stayed at this motel for 12 nights. Excellent and value for money for the bag-packers! located in the heart of Bristol. Convenient to all sorts of shops i.e food,shopping bus station,local bars&clubs,off-licensee shops, midnight kebab eateries and many.The motel's cleanliness was not bad but, i have to give 5 stars to the friendly staffs who never fail to provide the superb customer service when i needed . Overall, it's was good place for a bag-packers who seeks accommodation for long and short stay!!

Notable”

Centrally located near the coach station and shopping areas. Great facilities which were generally clean, very comfortable bed, with small storage cages under the bed (need to bring your own lock), and simple but sufficient breakfast provided from 7 am. It was a little inconvenient having to swipe your key card through multiple doors inside but other than that, a generally value-for-money hostel. Staff even let me store luggage before check-in. Just remember to bring your own toiletries and towel.
