Fabulous stay in private annex room”

My fiancee and I stayed at the Westbourne for an autumn weekend away. It was a fabulous base from which to enjoy the wider surroundings in the day (e.g. Griezedale Forest walks), and was centrally located in Bowness with its bars and restaurants in the evening. We had a private, annexed room which was warm, cozy, and a good size. Breakfast was excellent and the 24-hour honesty bar was a nice touch. Would recommend Westbourne for couples wanting good value, convenient accommodation in the heart of Bowness.

Just a few notes Ask for a bigger room the small room was small. Could perhaps do with a few more coat hooks. The staff were lovely and welcoming breakfast was the best. I would recommend to any one.

1. The owner couple were kind and nice. 2. Breakfast was great. It was not salty at all so good to eat. Everything was really tasty. 3. Room was a bit small and we could hear noise and smell food coming from other room. It seemed like our room was faced kitchen. 4. The bed was really terrible. It wasn’t flat. My husband and I had backache every morning. 5. Location is not that bad if you have a car. It is located on higher ground. However, easy to access to the main places on foot. 6. Shower head holder was broken so it bowed me every time. Water from shower was week.

Cottage suite stay”

A gem of a B&B perfectly located up a side street in Bowness. We paid a bit extra for the cottage suite which is basically a fantastic, no expense spared garage conversion. Bed and bathroom downstairs and lounge upstairs. Breakfast was one of the best we've had in any B&B. We really couldn't fault this place at all and would return again and again

Excellent location literally 2 minute walk to center of Bowness .Cottage suite was prefect and exactly what we were looking for.Service was always with a smile and both Sue and Andre were both really welcoming.Would definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely be coming back here again

Summer Weekend Break”

What a fantastic location the Westbourne is in when staying in Bowness. Our second visit within a year and the good bits certainly didn't disappoint. Our only slight negative was a less than perfect score for room cleanliness, a bit too much dust! and a very small en suite in room 2. Enjoyed everything else about our stay and will definitely return.
