Better than I expected”

I read a lot of negative things, but none of that happened to me. No centipedes, staff was fine, door lock worked, pool was clean, easy to get around. I was very pleased with it. The only problem I had was the "free" motorbike. I hadn't ridden one by myself in decades (I'm 59) and thought it would be fun. But almost no instruction I was sent off down their very rough driveway and had a little crash with the wire fence almost right away. It cracked one of the plastic wings, and burned my leg which a week later still looks bad. After that rough start, I used the motorbike successful for two days and loved it. But then the owner, who I never saw, tried to charge me 7500 pesos, but finally settled on 2000. I had the staff look at it and confirm that it was just one wing, which on their own list of costs was 2000 pesos. They had my passport as security, so I'm lucky the staff saw my side of it. But otherwise I was very happy with Calypso and would go there again.

Terrible, i could barely sleep, this hotel its more a shack than any other thing, rooms are not good the one i had the bed clothes had a hole, cockroaches, no tv, furniture clapped out, this is a hotel of 15 to 17 dollars night i should have not paid the 35 i did, i have been in 1000% better rooms in other hotels in the Philippines for same money, this hotel fits to backpackers or divers who will have already plans to do otherwise you will be stuck in the middle of nowhere, to be honest bohol can be a very nice spot for divers and i reckon in that case scenario you can stay there for days otherwise i wouldn't spend a night there, go to see the chocolate mountains and couple more of attractions you can do it in few hours. I would not consider to stay more than few hours in bohol, Philippines has more nicer places. From this hotel i just rescue the food what was really good and the friendly staff, but no good facilities either location.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is good, especially because you have use of a free motorbike. The price is good. There's a pool table and a decent restaurant. The room's are basic and could use an upgrade but it's inexpensive and a nice place to stay.

Homely”

Those who want 5* look elsewhere, but I enjoyed my stay in this out of the way little family hotel, managed with a smile. The local beach is poor, but there's a pool, and Alona is only 3 km away.

Great staffs”

The location is 2.5 km from Alona beach, but they offer free motorbike, so it is still easy to move around. The boss is very friendly, as he gave me back one day's room money, coz I suddenly changed my plan and left one day early. And there is a very lovely girl there!! What a sweet family!!

Acceptable”

All over PANGLAO Island they have ADS that their room cost PHP 790.00 pesos, but if you booked online you will pay MORE or almost doubled the price. The ROOMS are horrible, the bathrooms stinks that seems like they clean it a month ago, they gave us TOWELS LIKE A RAG, when you express a little complaint, they don't professionally acknowledge it and they will talk about you at your back that you should have booked in the 5star hotel and not in the hotel, seems like they meant that you've visited their property many times. How would we know? It's our first time to stay in PANGLAO and their photos on their website looks nice, that's why we booked. PLEASE PLEASE...DON'T STAY IN THIS RESORT...IT'S NOT EVEN WORTH PAYING EVEN $10/NIGHT. IT'S A NIGHTMARE.

Smelly and not given keys”

Only thing good is location.But there a fence u cant walk to the beach.They also not give us room key and motor bike key. Lucky I found room key hanging up next to the bar. Then motorbike key I had to call and the girl seem to not want to help as it was 8pm at night and they left reception early.finally got motorbike key.man tick all was ok without looking at bike properly but when return next day he throughouly checked.Also the room smelled bad of cockroaches.No tv and bed bugs.though the motorbike that came with room was worth it after all this.1 night is enough here for something cheap.

El personal es ineficiente, la habitacion estaba sucia, no nos pusieron sabanas (solo la bajera) y una toalla para 2 personas, la habitacion no era la que habiamos visto en la foto, en el menu la mitad de cosas no las tenian. Lo unico bueno la moto que estaba incluida en el precio de la habitacion

J'ai eu un cottage avec climatisation, avec une porte en bois et un cadenas en guise de serrure. La chambre est grande mais très rustique. Il y avait des moustiques et des fourmis partout. Le lit en métal était branlant et grinçait à chaque micro mouvement. Les draps étaient troués. La chambre était très sombre et il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude dans la douche. La chasse d'eau ne marchait pas il fallait verser de l'eau pour nettoyer à chaque fois. Le seul point positif est que vous avez une petite moto (très usagée) incluse avec la chambre. La plage en face est très très sale avec beaucoup de bateaux.

Resort liegt fast am Meer, Relaxfaktor 10 von 10, Das Personal ist sehr sehr nett. Dazu ein Motorbike im Preis miteinbegriffen, was sich gelohnt hat.

Alles in allem War es nett, ein Ort zum wohlfühlen. Leider schlechte Lage. Die Betten sind nicht zumutbar! Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr leckere Spaghetti. Besitzer ist ein Schweizer. "Chr Chr" :-)

Preis/Leistung miserabel”

Das Resort ist zeimlich abseits gelegen, wodurch eine gewisse Ruhe gewährleistet ist. Ein Roller ist im Zimmerpreis enthalten, den braucht man dort auch, um z.B. zum Essen zu fahren. Standard-Zimmer bietet null Komfort, nur ein Doppelbett, 2 Regale, kalte DU/WC/WB, laute AC und FAN,kleine Terasse, keine Türklinke/Schloss- für Backpacker eigentlich geeignet, aber viel zu teuer.Der Roller war das Letzte, sehr spannend, damit zu fahren. Pool ist in der Anlage vorhanden, rechtfertigt den Preis jedoch auch nicht. Haben daraufhin für den gleichen Preis einen Luxusbungalow in zentraler Lage (Nähe Alona Beach) gemietet.
