Stunning location ”
Carters rest is the most idyllic place , I couldn’t adequately express how warm and inviting the place is , it needs to be seen to be believed , so many beautiful sights to see , a real delight , Jonathan and Simone are the warmest hosts , they were quite simply born to host! the food was insane , the nicest sea food ever , mussels were delicious The house itself is immaculately presented & spotless, beautifully charming , comfortable beds , I couldn’t recommend a visit more highly , Last mention goes to Emma , the beautiful cuddly lab , a note to any guests , please save her a piece of your toast !

A beautiful b&b on the western edge of Skye. ”
Our hosts, Jonathan and Simone and their sweet pup Emma, were welcoming, sophisticated and lovely. Their home is so fresh and clean and attractively appointed. There is an outstanding view of the water from their dining room window, where the three tables are set with care and, always, with fresh flowers. There is a beautiful silver tea service, always at the ready, and home-brewed coffee. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with fresh fruits...berries, avocados, tomatoes, apples, nectarines, and gorgeous cheeses, meats and Simone’s home made whole wheat rolls....and, they are excellent cooks, offering hot breakfasts of one’s choice. They say they’ll start serving dinners, as well, a bit later in Fall. We’d like to go back for those ....and, of course, for Jonathon and Simone’s fine company, and to snuggle Emma, a bit. We spent two nights at Carter’s Rest, and are now spoiled.

Nice Stay in beautiful location”
Julie and Steve were great hosts. Location is beautiful, and accommodation is top notch. However, the property is well away from anything. I mean 35-40 mins in a car. No exaggeration. I did not consider the implications of this, but it becomes a pain at evening meals when you cannot just wander down to town or have a pint as you have to drive. If a secluded hotel is what you are after, then this is the place for you. If not, then probably think about another place. I would go back but I would have to be in the mindset of wanting a secluded type holiday.
