we really enjoyed our stay at aguas hotel centro. location-wise it was great, along the main road (av. brasil) where there are shops & restaurants open until midnight (most shops in the city are closed after dark, which can be a bit unsafe wandering around at night). it was reasonably close to bus terminal (about 10 mins' walk), where you can catch a bus to iguasu national park (20-25mins) or cataratas jl shopping centre (5-10mins). there is also a taxi stand just outside the hotel. reception and staff were friendly and helpful. there is a tour agency at the hotel lobby where you can arrange for city tour, iguazu falls trips (both brazil & argentina) and even private transport. hotel room and lobby were clean and modern. all basic amenities (toilet paper, towel, soap, hangers) are provided with cable tv in the room. wifi is free, but you need to get the password from the reception. there are 2 computers in the lobby for guests' use if you do not bring notebook. western breakfast were great with a lot of variety and pleasant staff. this hotel is great choice for travellers who are looking to visit iguazu falls but unwilling to stay at the expensive hotel cataratas (inside the national park) yet still want to have easy access to it, and other affordable shopping & food options in the city.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. The receptionists were very helpful. Great info about surrounding area and parks and public (bus) transportation. Good details on laundry, post offices, banks. The hotel is on Avenida Brasil (nice street for walking and window shopping and stopping for a beer and/or snack). It's a stone's throw from restaurants, pharmacies, bars, cafes, laundry, and bus station (for transport to Falls, Aves Park or Dam; Less than one USD one-way. so easy a third grader could do it alone). From the hotel, it's an easy 15 minute downhill walk to a big, air-conditioned, upscale shopping mall. Victoria's perfect English and information were a plus. Promote that young lady to manager!!!!

An excellent hotel and I would book/ recommend Del Rey without question. From the fast and friendly checkin to check out everything was very smooth. The hotel is very functional, everything is clean, and I had 2 very solid night’s sleep. Where they went beyond the normal chain hotel (and many 5 star hotels) was with their pro activity eg suggesting on check out they could store luggage before we even asked and then offering for us to use the pool and shower upstairs to change before the airport. All the staff were very friendly from reception to house keeping to the happy bar tender on the roof terrace. The only thing to improve for me would be breakfast - there’s slots of heavy carbs and cakes - would love a simple fruit basket eg apples, bananas

Receptionists at the front desk with good attitude were helping a lot when I did the check-in with plenty of questions. The room is spacious, though no compliment drinking water and hot pot in the room. Since the hotel is besides the main road of the town, it may be some noises happening in the night, e.g., people driving by with loud talking. The breakfast of the hotel is very good, and the atmosphere is quite relaxing for guests. It took me 41 real to the airport by a taxi, which is better than I thought. People of the Iguacu I met with are quite nice. I shall like to revisit, if I have a chance.

We enjoyed our stay at Rafain Centro/ The location is great, in the center and many good restaurants around The staffs, especially Mr. Marcos was very helpfull and friendly, He really help us when we tried to buy some paintings about Iguazu Falls The breakfast was great. The room was big enough with balcony. The only problem is the out dated bathroom. Maybe, they could improved it in the future

the best thing about this hotel is the staff. everyone was extremely helpful and almost everyone spoke english or even more languages. a small problem with the room allocation on arrival was resolved within minutes and the tour desk in the hotel was quite helpful as well, although they "forgot" to mention the cheaper options sometimes. also the transfer cost - pickup from airport was 10 r$ and the quote for the drop off had to be negotiated from 30 down to 20 per person which still seemed quite expensive as we were a group of 7. breakfast buffet is great. really big choice and very international to please everyone. we all enjoyed the stay. shopping mall up the road is good for any sort of fast food or cheap bite.

The hotel's rates were reasonable and its location super for the traveller who likes to walk around and find local food to taste. The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly, knowledgeable about tourists' interests/spots, made suggestive recommendations about what we could do or see, and spoke very good English, which would have been problematic for communicating with non-portuguese speaking guests.We were pleasantly surprised with the array of breads/cakes at the breakfast table. It was presented so appetisingly that anyone entering the breakfast room would have had their appetitie increased just looking at the presentation. Good job. We would recommend this to anyone who likes a good all-round stay experience.

Our first rooms air conditioner was very noisey but when we complained they moved us to a different room with a new air conditioner which was much better. Breakfast was nice but basic. Toast, cereal and sweet cakes. Sometimes some hot food but no eggs. No English speaking staff made things hard to communicate but they seemed nice. Great location from the bus stop but far away from the Main Street. This didn't bother us as we ate at some good restaurants in nearby streets.

The Mirante Hotel is located close to the bus terminal that offers cheap transport options to all nearby attractions such as Bird Park, Iguacu Falls, Itaipu Dam, Iguazu Falls in Argentina, Ciudad del Este in Paraguay. During daytime is the airport also a destination for the buses. Near the hotel is a quarter with many restaurants, shopping oportunities and money exchange. The hotel staff is friendly, multi-lingual, the room is big, very clean, with basic furniture. Breakfast is a good buffet choice. All in all a very pleasant stay here.

I wish we could have stayed longer. We were in Iguacu only for a night but our stay at the hotel was truly impressive. Superb service from the staff was received especially from the lady at the reception who was really accommodating until our check out time. Breakfast was great but I just wished there were more choices :) Other than that, this hotel is a very good choice for travelers who would be visiting Iguacu.

We stayed here as we wanted somewhere reasonably cheap (for Foz) that was near to the bus station for the Waterfalls. It was v convenient for the town (restaurants etc) and to get to the waterfalls. The rooms were very basic for the price, and the kitchen is an outdoor shack with no real facilities, so only come here if you're prepared to eat out. The pool is actually tiny, like a paddling pool, we found it quite funny. Better than nothing though after a hot day sightseeing. Internet was reasonably good and we used their computer.

We used this as our base for two nights for touring Iguassu Falls in early Feb 2013. This is a small 11 room hotel which has been built/renovated in 2012. Our double room with private bathroom was really big considering this is a budget accommodation. The room was also extremely clean and air conditioning made it pleasant as it was 30C outside. Having nice little breakfast was good bonus. Host, Nilton gave good introductions about the area and options on how to get around. We used bus #120 for getting between airport, hotel and Brazilian side of the falls. For Argentinan side of the falls, we used a cab which Nilton organized for us and another couple. Sharing BRL140 between the two couples was reasonable prize considering that it was a lot faster and easier than taking two buses to Argentinan side of the falls. Brilliant hotel and I'm recommending this to everybody visiting Iguassu Falls. If you have hundreds of euros per night, then you can pick a hotel from the falls area but otherwise this ~50e per night B&B is a great place to stay.
