Upon booking the guest house were very helpful in answering all my questions, from queries about payment, to questions about allergy free foods at breakfast. From the moment I arrived at check in i was welcomed in a friendly and helpful manner. The room was spotlessly clean, as were the communal areas, and the shared bathroom. Breakfast times were lovely as we were welcomed and made to feel comfortable despite having 3 (noisy) young children with us. All the staff working here are absolutely lovely, from reception to the breakfast room. Parking can be a little bit of a walk if you don't want to pay, but I think this is common in London, and I was grateful to be told where to go to park as it save us a lot of money, for the sake of a few minutes walking. The location to the tube is amazing too, another 5 mins walk and you are there. I really do recommend this guest house.

My New London Go-To”
I can say nothing negative about our stay at Charlotte Guest House. Despite arriving hours later than I'd initially advised, we were assisted by the most friendly night porter ever. He was beyond helpful. Our room was well provisioned with a double wardrobe, large chest of drawers, desk & chair and bedside shelves. The bed deserves a review all of its own! I've never slept so well, it easily rivalled the famous beds of a particular UK hotel chain. Expecting a small en suite, I was stunned to discover a full-sized bathroom. Both rooms were forensically clean. Highly recommended. This has become my first choice for future overnight accommodation in London.

We are in awe at how nice the staff are at Charlotte guest house! The room was super cosy and really clean. The breakfast is actually a cooked breakfast, with a few choices! We hope to stay here again.

Good value/conditions”
I was surprised by the conditions in this hotel, as you might usually hear from any other London traveller, expensive accomodation and very old, but this one was surprisingly good. Breakfast was quite nice, with some choices over the menu and you don't have to pay anything else as most hotels also do require when you order more elaborated breakfast (so called english breakfast). There was just a small inconvenience in our apartment, since it was located on top of the building, the water heater for the rest of the building was located in our bathroom and therefore, when someone in the building was taking a bath, the noise from it was a loud enough to wake you up from your sleep... Other than that, everything was perfect, location 3 minutes walking from underground subway, overground and railway express stations. Place in the Jubilee line which usually works 24h a day and takes you to key stations for turistic spots like Green Park. Recommend!

WiFi poor. Secure login worked but access to an internet IP was difficult often saying the config of the router was incorrect. Access at Reception Area was usable but no where else.

Small and like 30 years old at least, squeaky floor, shaky bed, midnight noises, no air-conditioning, even short of fans in hot days……well well, a lively English breakfast will compensate it. And the receptionists are extremely friendly and helpful.

TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE”
Our stay was a disaster. A lot of nuisance, noise ,it was horrible. It is an old building, nr 213 sumatra road, you hear Everything!,,, we have not sleep for two nights. The reception was not available. We felt unsafe! Do not go there!

Good location and modern refurb”
We were pleasantly surprised by the guest house, our room had had a modern bathroom was clean tidy and plenty of room. The breakfasts are acceptable, only the cheapest of ingredients are used however. The location is fantastic, right next to two train stations and the Jubilee line, less than 10 minutes to central London.

Room was large and bright. No A/C but windows provided cross breeze although the street noise was more apparent when they were open. Everything was very clean but we had problems accessing the shared bathroom due to poor etiquette of the other guests. Breakfast was cooked to order and very fresh, hot, and good. Really friendly helpful staff.

problems with shared bathroom, always seemed occupied. group of hotels this spread out should have en-suites. problems with breakfast proprietress - seemed to regard customers as an annoyance. refused to give us English breakfast because we were late - we weren't. fairly easy to find, used a taxi at first then switched to oyster card. good part of London. reception was good and friendly, took us to our unit fairly quickly and helped us with hop on hop off bus. good value for money but needs improvement.

Enjoyed the stay but biggest draw back is that Wifi was really non existent for the room on top floor next to the building where reception is. Basically no wifi throughout the stay.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was very close to the station which was ideal and the rooms were very nice. It's definitely value for money and the staff made us feel very comfortable. Will surely go again!

Quiet location, easy access to Jubile line, near by restaurants' kitchen open until 10:00ish.”
Pros: location. Easy launch pad to go explore the UK. Cons: no ac - it was really hot in our bedroom. And the door that was going to the garden was lock. It would have been great to be able to open it both for heat and for fire safety reasons. Thankfully, the staff found us a portable fan so it helped with the heat.
