Great location & very nice garden view”
Highly recommend Chateau on the Park - Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton. My husband and I had a very pleasant stay. Room was very clean, parking was convenient, great location located at the central and we have a room that is facing the pool and garden! Great view and we enjoyed our stay very much! Also, the Hilton cookies were very delicious!!!!!

Great garden with a cozy room and friendly staff especially Kelvin from the restaurant who was very attentive and helpful with tips of places to see in Christchurch and also Sukhman of the front desk for the warm welcome. The food was of good quality and tasty. We would surely come again for the hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Spacious and well appointed room with excellent amenities. Located just next to a park and a nice walk to the botanic gardens. Breakfast was very good and generous, and the restaurant staff were great. Each morning, we looked forward to meeting the restaurant captain/manager who was so very hospitable and enthusiastic in greeting guests at breakfast. The front office manager Cecilia Zhong was most helpful.

We were welcomed with a smile by their receptionist and their famous “Double Tree by Hilton cookie” which me and my husband liked so much. The room and bathroom are clean. I liked the ambiance of their hotel which they have a garden and pool. Staff were great and lovely! Very close to Christchurch central. Will definitely go back!

A very relaxed pleasant atmosphere makes this an ideal centre for a Christchurch visit. It’s a lovely walk into the city through Hagley Park but buses are easily accessible too. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is warm and sheltered from wind. All the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and efficient and the restaurant serves good, if fairly traditional, meals. I felt dry comfortable to be staying alone.

Old hotel with a flare”
Hotel is pretty old, most of the woods have shown significant sign age. However, room is in perfect clean condition. Location would be a negative point, as you will need to walk quite a bit before you get in the city. Thank god we extended our car rental. Overall, still pretty pleasant stay, although the place falls below our expectation.

Good location next to park for access to Christchurch's main sites ”
A pleasant hotel well located and a great buffet breakfast. We had just arrived off a very long flight and exhausted and had pre-requested an earlier check-in than the hotel usual (asked to check-in at 12 noon) but nope had to wait til 2pm. Apart from that was fine for a 1 nighter in Christchurch, clearly a busy hotel with a lot of rooms.

Friendly helpful staff”
We moved from the Pavilions Hotel where we stayed for one uncomfortable night. The Chateau On The Park was a delightful contrast. We were made to feel welcome and the staff were very obliging. We were caught in the Christchurch earthquake and we cannot speak highly enough of the way all the hotel staff strived to make us feel as comfortable as possible in the dreadful circumstances.
