A Warm Welcome and delicious breakfasts”
Upon arrival we received a warm welcome from our host, Ray. He gave us a lot of information and a map to find our way around. The Guest House is very well situated for exploring Chester, being only a 15 minute walk from the town centre. There are good restaurants and pubs nearby for an evening meal. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We were given a room downstairs next to the reception area, which was a bit noisy at times, but Ray very kindly offered to move us to another room, if we wanted, we which did decline. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and our breakfast was delicious - with plenty of choices on offer. There were lots of extras included in the room, apart from the usual tea and coffee - we also had biscuits, crisps and water - and complimentary toiletries. I would recommend this guest house for a weekend exploring Chester.

Would use them again”
There were no surprises as we researched the place before booking. Chester house is not the closest to the actual town, but as we went to Chester with the main purpose of having a good walk around and look at the history and sights, the extra mile to the main part of Chester was not an issue. The people were very friendly and the room was as clean, tidy and equipped as we would expect for the price. The noise from the main road wasn't so bad, at least we had a nice view of the old church across the road. The Breakfasts were nice, as to was the dining area. I guess if we would have had to move the car in and out of the small parking area every day it might get a little tiresome, but we didn't move the car once parked on arrival and Ray, the owner, makes expectations about the parking area it quite clear.

Superb! ”
As soon as you walk into Chester Guest House, it feels like visiting a friend's home. It isn't fussy, it's warm and cosy. The rooms (I've stayed twice) are very clean and comfortable. Little extra touches are great (soap, shampoo, moisturiser, chocolates, biscuits, crisps). Breakfast is a treat and will set you up for the day. Value is amazing for what is offered.... Lovely and quiet too (despite being on a busy road, as its stepped back). 10 mins easy walk to the City... Great place!!

Parking available. Short walk into the centre of Chester. Proprietor very helpful and informative. Good sized room with nice touches - coffee / tea / biscuits / crisps / nuts. Complimentary toiletries. Excellent breakfast.

Better than a B&B”
I travelled alone to Chester! I had a warm welcome in the reception. They are very helpful to help your plan and recommend different local restaurants.The room is comfortable and clean. Home-made breakfast is excellent (I ordered egg Benedict and yogurt). Highly recommended. Other comments - suggest to take bus 53 from train station if you are carrying heavy luggage. It takes 15mins walk (much far than I expected)

Its my first time here to Chester ! found this hotel is a old refurbish into B&B Cottage ! room is big and comfortable bed and nice size of room. the location is just 15-20 minute walk from Major Chester Town, but not during winter or spring ! the only thing is disappointed me is the bath room size is too small. you can't even bend down if you drop your soup ! i wonder U.K people is so small size ? the hot and cold water . the do have but you just can't adjust the temperature. either very cold or very hot !! the rest is fine ...

A great time in Chester”
My wife and I had a wonderful stay in Chester. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and made our stay feel very welcoming. The room was big and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious as well. The location was nice and fairly convenient as it was only a 20min walk to the city center and 10mins from the train station. Overall, my wife and I would stay again.

Good location, close to the city centre (about 20 mins walk). Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Nice breakfasts. Only downside although a small amount of parking is provided, it was a bit tight.

Ray was the perfect host”
Two night stay for general sightseeing. Room and bed excellent and comfortable. En suite was more than adequate but perhaps a little tired.. Room facilities excellent. All the staff very friendly and the full breakfast excellent. ...20 min walk to city £6 taxi back...Plenty of good restaurents short walk away...would stay again...

Not cheap but very nice”
This was a lovely place to stay, about 20mins walk from the city centre. We booked quite last-minute for a Saturday night during Christmas Market time so it wasn't a cheap visit but the room was lovely and very well appointed. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice available.

Breakfast was nice, but somehow disappointed ”
Not too bad but not so good for me. Breakfast was nice, room was clean and cute, but the location is a bit far from the station and the town centre. Room door was horrible. I was locked in twice in the morning and missed the train. After the 30 min struggle of escape from the room, staff just said he has changed to new key recently with no apologize, that made me disappointed.
