We had the most memorable stay ever at Chindonan dive resort. First of all the staffs are super friendly. Starting from picking-up from the airport, to boating to the island and accommodation during our stay, everything was taken care of, hassle free. Both breakfast and dinner were included and they were delicious. The resort has a huge and fabulous home reef which is perfect for snorkeling. It is also located close to the wreck sites which coron is famous for diving. Being close allowed us to be the first boat arriving during our morning dives. Besides of the wrecks we were also able to see some of the most beautiful marine life before more people come and scare them away. Despite staying for only a short limited of time our dive instructor Ken really helped us to get the most out our stay. He communicated thoughtfully of our options and came up with a plan that was tailored to our time and needs. We were able to go through our diving certificate courses within just three days. Ken was extremely considerate, patient and detail oriented. Note that the resort is specialized in scuba diving and is isolated on a remote island. It is also built from an eco friendly standpoint meaning that there are no air conditioning and hot shower (hence the power consumption puts too much stress on its surrounding nature). It was cool at night and the water was warm during the day so we didn’t find any problem. Conclusion, highly recommended to anyone who is looking for an great diving adventure or fun water activities in Coron!

The chindonan Duve resort was a surprise. We didn't expect that it will be that peaceful and quiet. Our stay was really what we needed to re-energize and recuperate ourselves after a tough mountain adventure from Bicol. But aside from that, Coron is unique, with the fantastic beaches we visited . It is nature at its best. Chindonan location is indeed strategic, close to the wrecks and to interesting beaches to visit. Our room was very comfortable and I love waking up to have a tea in the balcony and just staring at the sea!! (unfortunately our room 8, was close to the housekeeping resident, and there was a day we woke up early by their morning rituals. In anycase, they immediately tamed down as soon as they were told.) The staff are all friendly and receptive to all our requests. The only surprise was all the entrance fees to visit the beaches which are valid if only there were also official receipts given back.... The only downside of the place perhaps are the choices for breakfasts and Lunch. I hope they soon can improve on this. Dinner was always good and interesting. We truly enjoyed our stay , moreover after seeing what Coron town has to offer-- one must stay and take refuge In Chindonan Dive resort!

This time in Coron Island I stayed in 3 resorts and Chindonan is the best! I will definitely come back to Chindonan Dive Resort! Couldn't enjoy it more.... My mom is 60 year old and is a vegetarian but she loves this resort because the people are super friendly and very supportive whenever you have any request. The food is really amazing at Chindonan and also it has great diving instructors, diverse activities of fair prices, customized services... It's perfect for divers and snorkelers! It's also an eco-friendly resort which respects and lives in harmony with nature. The location is very convenient to do island hopping too! highly recommended!!

We stayed for three relaxing nights in Chindonan Dive Resort and really enjoyed it. We got picked up at the airport and dropped of at next place. On arrival with the boat, we were warmly welcomed with tasty beverage. We stayed in garden view room/hut which was big and comfortable, with private veranda, a/c and fan. During the night, when switched off a/c we could hear some noise (or generator or other a/c?). Breakfast and dinner were included and both very good, changing each day, buffet style. Hot and cold water, coffee, tea is provided near restaurant. No kettle in the room. I went diving in different sites and I can admit the reef is really beautiful and very healthy. As those are places nobody else is going to, it was peaceful and quiet. We went kayaking through nearby mangroves and along the island, it was nice change. I would suggest to put the price on the website as it is paid extra (some other places include in stay). Overall: recommended and would definitely come back.

unforgettable... the communication by email is personal and precise, just as the staff behave all the time. chindonan island is 45 minutes by boat from coron, a little and busy town 30 minutes (by a shuttle) from the airport (don't go to puerto princesa - you have to book your flight to coron - bussuanga airport in philipinnes). there was someone waiting for us at the airport. the guy put us in a shuttle and the shuttle took us to the hotel boat. the hotel has two boats. one was sent to take us to the island. what a crew has greeted us! people with great spirit, good sense of humor and perfect english. those area around the resort is one of the ten best places to dive-snorkeling in the world, and i can tell why. i have been diving for over 35 years and had never been in a place like that. take some local money to the hotel, since you will need it to pay for the government environment protection fees - they are cheap,(about $2 to $4 us each), but you will pay for each of the places you visit. the one day boat trip has to be a priority (!!), but give yoursef a day to rest before trying it. less than four days is the hotel will be a big mistake - plan to be five or more days - it is worth! marcio garcia brazil

Remote island experience”
After staying night in Coron we've been picked up from our hotel by Chindonan staff and also dropped of at the airport at the end of our stay. It took about 1 hour boat ride to get to Chindonan island with one village and only one resort. Welcome drink, large terrace overlooking bay, clean bathroom, walk in wardrobe and nicely decorated huge room - one of those better looking resorts in Philippines. Both breakfast and dinner is included and was very delicious. Many drinks are available. We had a lot of fun playing darts. Boat can be hired for 2500 half day or 5000 full day. Please mind that food and entrance to some of the parks are not included. You can order delicious sandwiches. I would recommend to bring some snacks like cashew nuts from Coron as supplies are limited. Overall very nice place to stay. Highly recommended.

Great resort for scuba diving and relaxing”
The resort is located one hour from Coron by boat, on a small and very green island. Located directly at the sea, one feels completely engulfed by nature with no civilization in sight. Nonetheless, service and food are fantastic and the staff do everything to make their visitor's stay in paradise as pleasant as possible. They also provide diving equipment and organize scuba diving trips to the nearby world-famous wrecks. This is done in a very flexible and professional way, and I can only recommend this resort for divers. In particular, I think it is preferable to stay at the resort instead of in Coron town itself, since Chindonan Island is much closer to the wrecks and, moreover, the diving staff make an effort to keep the groups of divers small so that one gets the best possible experience.

Wonderful hospitality in a beautiful setting”
we loved our stay at chindonan! lona and her team were extremely hospitable. the cottages were modern and luxurious with views of the mountains and water. chindonan helped us organize all our diving with sangat island directly across the water and a 7 minute boat ride away. we went to coron for diving and the location exceeded our expectations - just minutes from the wrecks and such a beautiful, peaceful place to return after a morning of diving. the only thing i would have wished for is more vegetarian food options, hot water at night for the shower, and a ceiling fan as it was quite warm.

My stay at Chindonan Dive Resort was just perfect! If you're looking for a beautiful refuge away from the city, this is the place for you. Amazing natural beauty everywhere you look, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is just the best. Fantastic snorkeling right in front of the resort, with sea horses! I'm a bird lover, and I was thrilled with all the gorgeous, exotic birds flying around. The food was wonderful, and what a view from the dining area! I love everything about my stay and I look forward to visiting again!

Chindonan was a great place to stay at. I highly recommend it. It’s away from the city and it’s so beautiful and quiet. They arrange the pick ups and drop offs for you as well. The staff were all friendly and they warmly welcome you to the resort. They do have a variety of activities you can choose from, like island hopping tours, dive packages, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking or snorkeling. If you are looking to dive, the dive instructors are highly competent and familiar with the different dive sites. I haven’t been on a dive for more than 3 years, however Matt (the dive instructor) was patient and addressed all the concerns I had. I signed up to take my advance dive certification there. He was great! The rooms are cleaned every day. The views from the rooms are amazing. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Overall a great place to stay at.

While it might be inconvenient for other people to not have electricity during certain hours of the day, this was perfect as it forced me to stay out of my room and enjoy the beautiful views and talk to the lovely people of Chindonan island. The staff was friendly and it was great to have an open kitchen for patrons to watch the preparation of the food. Nikolaj, the dive instructor is friendly and enthusiastic and very helpful to newbies like myself. The reefs and views were stunning and the fact that the resort had its own natural water spring was wonderful. The birds and the quests were so relaxing and I definitely recommend kayaking around the island. The mangroves are so peaceful and the water is absolutely perfect. I didn't get to see one of their famous seahorses but I certainly saw so many other things. This is an eco resort done right and the management should be so proud for having created an eco friendly and peaceful place to go diving.

a pleasant, relaxing getaway if you can stand the ”
We booked a deluxe room for two with halfboard (breakfast and dinner) at the last minute at an extremely reasonable rate. Roundtrip airport transfer is included in the reservation and very convenient. Unlike many high-end facilities, the Chindonan was very accommodating and flexible in meeting all our needs, from arranging a private diving excursion to see some WWII wrecks to enabling us to explore the location on our own with complimentary usage of the kayaks available at the resort. The staff is also very friendly, and the good food made the halfboard inclusion a great value. The only challenge we encountered is with the heat and humidity. While the fan provided in the room functioned well, it was still not sufficient for us to have a comfortable night's sleep due to the heat and humidity. Overall, this is a great place to relax and enjoy island life without spending a fortune. If you can deal with the heat, you will have absolutely no problem.

Nice place , especially for divers ”
My stay in Chindonan was nice, we are a family with young children. Fortunately the major dive spots of Coron are very close so that a boat ride (hotel organized dive shop) could get there within 10 minuts. The location itself is nice, a quiet place especially for relaxation . If you are a diver and interested in daily frequent dives, then this is the perfect place for you.

Just right for relaxation”
Since it was off season, we were one of two couples at the resort. After traveling for 2 wks through different parts of Korea, this was just right. We went diving almost everyday. Most of the reefs had decent visibility. The wreck diving was murky. This is really due to the rainy season going on now. We stayd for 5 days and at least every day the sun came out....followed by a breezy afternoon rain. The sunsets were amazing. It was alittle muggy at times weather wise. The two owners (Pierre's) had the same name! They were awesome and hillarious! The resident Shepard was a total plus for being alittle homesick. The staff were amazing and incredibly accommodating, always. A few things to keep in mind if you go: take mosquito spray, toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste etc). You can purchase these items if you forget them. The water is great, it's fresh from a spring. Being an island, the electricity is limited during the day...but we never missed it. Being environmentally conscious, the resorts Eco-conservation is very impressive. Loved the natural feel and all the nature abounding our hut. The lizards were amazing and beautiful too! We would highly recommend staying at the Chindonan Resort.

I really enjoyed my stay at Chindonan. It was perfect for a relaxing few days of snorkelling, kayaking and island hopping. The room is large, clean, and has everything you need. The staff were excellent - really friendly and welcoming. I felt at home there - and i loved their dog Bantay. It's a really beautiful location - was my 4th time in the Coron area - really is one of the most beautiful set of islands I've seen. Excellent water for snorkelling - I had 4 turtle sightings in one morning on the reef of a nearby island, which is pretty good by any standard. After a few weeks of hectic activities this was a really nice relaxing break. Excellent.

Great quite place”
had a great time staying here. the diving was amazing and the scenery is second-to-none. the only negatives i have is that there was no hot water for the showers (which is same for everyone else in the area) and the fact that it is a little further from most things, thereby making the travel times on the boat a little longer on average. having said that i would definitely recommend the chindonan island resort!

Cozy island stay perfect for water activities”
We enjoyed our 4-night stay in chindonan! Beautiful island resort to unwind and scubadive. Also amazing housereef perfect for snorkling, right from the shore. The rooms had a beautiful view but could need a little facelift, especially the bathroom. Staff were very welcoming and overall the whole island had a warm community feel. Delicious home-style food. Scuba instructors were professional and also daytrips beyond diving were easily managed from the resort. After getting engaged during stay, the owner offered us wine for our celebration. What a beautiful gesture, which we valued much! Thanks for a memorable stay!

Outstanding ”
My husband and I just returned from a three night stay at Chindonan, and we can't rave enough about our time there. The food was delicious, the location is perfect as it's super close to all the wrecks for scuba diving. The dive staff is professional and friendly and safe, and the wait staff are very attentive and sweet. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

Great for Diving!”
The rooms are pretty with open terrace and an outdoor sofa, it's relaxing. Breakfast is included in your room as long as you don't stray from the eggs and toast (pancakes and other breakfasts items will be charged as written in the menu about 120ph per item). Dinner is also included in your room and is served as a buffet freshly cooked by the staff. Lunch you will have to pay for and it will cost you easily 2 regular mainland meals (around 600ph for lunch and drink), we thought lunch was too expensive especially since you don't have a choice. Warning, the AC cuts from 7AM to 12PM then from 14PM to 16PM. We didn't know and thought we would be able to relax and sleep in but we never could. Diving with Sean (from the in-house dive center) was the best part and the diving spots are just in front of the resort!! Thank you again! Snorkelling around is great as there area lot of untouched reefs around the resort. We would have liked more communications and clear price tabs when we arrived!
