Please keep in mind this review is for the garden view tower. the newly renovated wing. Most of the bad reviews about bad carpets, etc , are for the old tower. It was largely a very pleasant stay. the room is new. So furnitures and bathroom fittings are also new. inroom internet is fast enough. The price, i thought is reasonable for 1 good reason. The city gets daily blackouts.. Sometimes lasting 8 hours each time. Most of my stay was being ran by a generator. If i had stayed in a cheaper hotel without a generator, my stay would of been unpleasant as h3ll without a/c. One great drawback for this hotel : breakfast is POOR. I swear, i have stayed in 3 star hotels with breakfast that was so much better than what this hotel serves. There are some good food in the buffet table, to be clear about it, but most of the food -especially the main dishes were BAD. Corned beef that came out of a can. CHEAP CORNED BEEF at that. (arg+++++ brand) some weird chicken with lemon butter sauce. the great items on their menu : the fresh fruits. the freshly cooked veggies. the PAN DE SAL (filipino bread). (i guess it's made fresh). the egg station was okay. i asked to cook the eggs in butter, so i brought him some butter.. he instead put the butter in the eggs like an omelette filling. LoL. But the omelette i had the day before was okay. in summary : good rooms, good service, bad breakfast.

I initially booked at Jardin and made the right decision to transfer to City Inn. While I had a bad experience in the other hotel across the street, my stay in City Inn was great that I'm considering to go back to Zamboanga and book here again. The hotel is new and well maintained. During my stay, I regularly saw staff cleaning the hallways, which is good. For a budget hotel, City Inn looked classier than other 2-, 3- or 4-star hotels. The room has a comfortable bed and clean sheets, flat screen TV, and one thing I really appreciate was, for that room, I think I saw more than 6 wall sockets to charge my gadgets. I didn't have to use my travel extension cord. The only issue I have is with the food. Nothing spectacular with their breakfast. They can improve on that. I ordered the breakfast set with ham and egg for PHP99. Although cheap, it looked sad and oily, then the coffee was a 3-in-1 sachet. Maybe they can expand their offering in terms of food. Overall, I had a great time in Zamboanga and City Inn is one of the reasons. Will definitely go back! :)

1. There are two Winzelle Suites (both located in the city proper, just few steps away from each other: Almonte St. or Gov. Lim Ave.). 2. Early check-in is possible if the room is ready. 3. Can leave your luggage in the hotel after check-out. 4. Receptionists and security guards are all friendly to reply all your questions. 5. There's a good massage near the hotel (walked straight ahead of Muñez Ext. St. and cross Tomas Claudio St., you can see the massage store on your left hand side.) 6. All the tourists spots are within walking distance and also the pier for going to Great Sta. Cruz Island or Basilan (Isabela City).

It was our first time in the city and we were lucky to have reserved a room in this property. PROS - near the airport, shopping areas and points of interests - value for money - great and helpful staff - water pressure is high - spacious cabinets - lots of power outlet CONS - no cable - small bathroom - no fridge - breakfast not available if booked via Agoda - pillows are old and flat - daily wifi log in with new pw and everytime it detected

Hey Pleasant stay in the most part except when they have government conferences and workers attending... they are very undisciplined, smoking in the hallways and gathering outside of their rooms, loudly talking for hours on end.... Other than that... Staff and management alike went out of their way to make it as pleasant as possible... Many thanks to Natasha, Mary and Theresa very professional and helpful... their English and communication skills are wonderful.. very happy to get to know them all... Steak Filipino or Tagalog is a recommended must on rice... People in this city are wonderful and friendly don't be discouraged by any negative news about the city... I felt safe day and night walking the city but there are no taxis in it you've got to contact management and arrange for their shuttle to pick you up... it is free, air conditioned and friendly driver... Oh rooms are very big, old but huge... Rice is defiantly within the right or better parameters.. one last thing... No one knows it by Jardin de La Vina Hotel.... it is know simply as La Vina Hotel.. 2 thumbs up for this hotel although it is old but comfortable

The hotel is OK for a provincial hotel. But the description on Agoda gives a false impression. Expectations are set above delivery so initial impressions are disappointing: * New Delux Room: Rooms all in an old building; new buildings in the photo are conference facilities. * 2 Double beds: Two SINGLE beds. The hotel insisted that double means the room is for two people – did not accept that single/double bed relates to the size of the bed itself. * Balcony/terrace: this is the outside corridor. It is not private. No views (blocked by other parts of the building).Noisy because kids run up and down banging on the doors. * Desk: No chair. A plastic chair was provided when I asked. * Coffee/tea maker: A kettle was provided. No cups. 2 cups provided when I asked. No tea or coffee. Housekeeping did not include washing or replacing the cups. * Kitchenware: No kitchenware. * Free wifi access: This is listed as a room feature - and is the ONLY reason I chose this hotel. THERE IS NO WIFI IN THE ROOMS. Coffee shop wifi might have been OK but the coffee shop was always in use for seminars. Fortunately, there are good Globe and Smart 3G signals so I used my cell phone as a hotspot. The Agoda description has a nice photo of the pool. But as far as i can see, none of the rooms overlook the pool. There were conferences and weddings every day (stayed 4 nights) which splilled over into the pool area and lobby so there was little chance for a quiet time by the pool. Nearly all the room look out onto the main road, which is noisy. The other rooms didn't seem to have windows that could be used. The top floor is better than the second floor. Now, having said all this, it is not bad for the money. It was fairly clean, beds were basic but comfortable, the delux room is quite large, hot water most of the time, aircon worked ...

There are room for improvements like cleanliness of the bathroom (particularly shower area), leaks from shower division, the air con size for the family room was quite small (but they allowed us to leave it on so the room will be cold when we come back), and the noise from the Gym (but this was resolved immediately when we requested to be moved to the other wing opposite from the gym). Security is tight, which makes you feel secured. Polite staff which is the biggest factor. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip.

From the time I arrived at the airport, I thought I had a very special treatment. Miss Benita Feliciano was the one who facilitated my transportation going to and from the airport and made sure I was well taken care of. She even checked me in at the airport without me being in the airport yet when I left Zamboanga for Tawi-Tawi. So I really appreciate that. When I got to the resort, everyone was just nice. My assistant called the day before to make sure that my room was confirmed. When she told Miss Rose that I needed a good internet connection, they immediately transferred my reservation to Casita number 2. When I got there, I had the router for my own use inside the room. I had to work for a few hours in the evening of my stay so I really needed a good connection and they did not disappoint. I was able to work without any issues. The power went out twice during my stay - I guess this is an issue in Mindanao. But the resort is well equipped with a generator so power was never an issue. I left very early in the morning so I could not take the complimentary breakfast. They gave me a complimentary dinner instead. And did I forget to mention that my room was right in front of the beach? The food in the restaurant was also good and very affordable. One of the staff members who was on duty during the early morning accompanied me and talked with me until my airport transfer arrived.

We booked a 4 days 3 nights stay but we decided to move to a different hotel after 1 night of stay because upon checking in the room they said is still occupied(we called in to let them know that we are checking in early) we waited for like 1 hour at thier very small office. When we where ushered to our room we were told that the floor is still wet, so lo & behold it is literally wet all over😲. We notice that some of the locks are broken & there is a back door with no secure double locks attached to it. On the 1st & only night of our stay a group of guys knocked urging us to let them in (creepy). The next day from our tour we noticed that the aircon in our room was switched off (we purposely left it open because its so humid outside and so when we get back we dont need to adjust the temperature). Then when we are readying to check out, though I forgot to lock the door due to exhaustion a guy just literally barged in without knocking. Pros: breakfast served is good.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Their policy of putting a 5 minute delay on the aircon start-up puzzles me though. This is probably applicable only if they are coming from a brownout and they want to stabilize the power first. Five minutes is simply too long to wait if you're coming from a tiring 2 hour plane trip. I also think that wi-fi insode the hotel room should be standard for a hotel that claims itself to be 2 stars.
