The hotel is very lovely and traditional. I booked an executive room, which was OK at best in my opinion considering there wasn't a lot executive about it, it was just slightly larger than a regular double room, no real extras to it. The staff were great and the restaraunt was very fairly priced and the food was great both for dinner and breakfast. My only real issue was that my room was absolutely miles away from where I wanted to spend my time with my other half. I'm talking a 5 minute walk just to get to the reception desk, including walking outside (not the warmest in January either) so it was very inconvenient to get to the Spa resources, which were on the opposite side, as well as the restaraunt and bar. On the evening we went for dinner, due to the route we had to take to get to the restaraunt, we had to stroll through a black tie dinner that the hotel had been booked for, which was quite awkward for both us and them, and again on the way back to our room. All in all a lovely hotel just quite inconvenient during my stay due to where our room was.
