Where to stay in Arequipa
Arequipa hotels & accommodations

Perfect place in Arequipa! Close enough to main square but far enough away that it's quiet. Comfortable rooms. Clean. Extra blankets in the closet (as it was pretty cold at night when we were here). Free tea and coffee in the courtyard 24hrs a day. Beautiful grounds. Great staff! Would stay here again!

This hotel is only 5 - 10 min walk to the main square and most tourist spots. The hotel is very modern and the room is huge, with all sorts of amenities. Shower is hot and strong, bed is comfortable, and breakfast is also very delicious. Staffs are very helpful and they speak very good English too.

Overall a really nice hostel. Really chill vibe with lots of open spaces to hang out, be alone or meet new people. The staff are amazing and take great care of the place and travellers. The bathrooms are really clean and showers are great! I stayed here for close to a week and loved it. Only complaint is that the downstairs dorm can be really noisy as it’s right next ...

Nice room, but the staff does not speak English. They are very helpful if you know some Spanish. The WiFi is available and free in the room, but is not very reliable. It has a habit of cutting out after a while. The last day there was a power outage so they could not charge may credit card and had to pay in cash for 4 night's stay.

The staff was so accommodating to our requests (letting us put our bags one day before check-in) and also to our surprise (packed breakfast for us as we need to leave at 5am via peru hop)! Best service ever! We wished we could have spend one more night here at this lovely hotel.........

I’ve traveled around SA and really liked my stay at Spainish backpackers - the space and the location was excellent. Ad is the varied travellers that stay. The location is fabulous and also is the Greek style accomadation with its outside space. There are lots of musicians staying which makes for a night of jamming. There’s a kitchen space where you can cook up a meal,...

I really like this place. The room was big and clean, decorated with some simple but nice furnitures that reminded me of an old spanish hostal. the bathroom was clean, hot water and hair dryer...super! the owner was super nice and helfull. the breackfast good!. highly recommended

The hostel is in a great location. A 5 minute walk to plaza de armas and a two minute walk to the start of the free walking tour. Staff were very friendly and helped us with any issues we had. We also booked a tour to the colca canyon through them which I would recommend

Basic Peruvian breakfast of pita bread, coffe/tea, juice and butter/jam. Location across the street from a couple of restaurants by famous Peruvian chef Gaston, almost next to monastery and just a block away from the main square. Can’t beat this location. IBasic facilities, shower could have some pressure and newer towels. Rooftop dining was nice with great view ...

i'm so pleased that los tambos was our final hotel experience in peru. after trekking to machu picchu, we wanted to relax on our last days in peru and arequipa/los tambos definitely made it so. this hotel is right next to plaza de armas in central arequipa so everything that we wanted to see/eat was within walking distance. the rooms were a great size, not too big or t...

The staff were fantastic. The people on reception were very friendly and always had a big smile. The rooms are great because of their different themes which give a great variation from the standard hotel rooms. Good size. Plush bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet was perfectly fine for this price range. Convenient (but not in the heart)to the main attrac...

qp Hotels in Arequipa is basically a nice hotel but small things are preventing me from giving more stars. For one my hotel room had no real windows just some tiny holes to let in some light at the top of the wall above the bed. This made the whole room feel rather oppressed. Furthermore, my door was broken and could only be opened with the key the housekeeper had an...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Refugio Ecologico. The hotel is very well located and between the two main tourist spots in the city: the Plaza de Armas and the Mirador de Yanahuara. It is just a quick 10 minute walk to either. The rooms are very clean and cozy although the first one I was set up in was a little too dark for my taste. My only real warning is that it is...

We stayed at the Marlon's House only one night but we were very happy with our room. We arrived on an early bus at 5:00 am and even though we could not check in to our room so early we were able to sleep for a few hours in their "waiting/lounge" area till our room was available. The room and beds are very clean! The location is great too and the staff was super friend...

I stayed there twice. The first time no problem. This is my second time. When I asked why I dont hv hot water in the room, the old lady at the front desk refused to communicate. She doesn't care about you and only do her work. Her attitude and tone is like blaming you all the time. And she refused to use translation even though I told her to write down what she wants t...

We arrived before the check-in time and our host was kind enough to prepare our room while she had a baby to look after. The room was clean and comfortable, as were the common areas (bathroom, kitchen). Our host also helped us to find a tour to visit the Colca Canyon. An unbeatable value for money!

Arrived at 5:30am after overnight bus ride. I was very happy when they checked me in a bigger room, cause my was not available that early in the morning.Room was clean, shower hot, wifi good, although breakfast could be better. A delightful place to stay in Arequipa. Only a 10-15 min walk from the town but well worth the walk as the area is beatiful. The staff are superbs and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the hotel cleanliness is unbelievable...

The first thing to note about this place is the terrific management; a senior gentleman is the managing partner we had the most contact with, and although I don't speak more than elementary Spanish and he doesn't speak any English, communication was made easy by his patience and kindness. He was a gem. The other staff was nice too. The kitchen was great, too. The beds...

Unfriendly staff and disappointing facilities. Just not a 3-star hotel. No hot water in the shower. On our second day, and after much arguing, we were finally moved to a room supplied with (some) hot water. The main positive is the location, a few short blocks away from the Plaza de Armas.

When we were dropped off my our taxi, we were initially slightly confused as we still had to walk about a block to get to the hotel - but what we quickly realized was that the hotel was situated in a pedestrian only area right on the plaza. It's one thing to look at it on a map and another to arrive and see exactly where it was situated. Comfortable and with excellent ...

I just love Arequipa. My 3rd visit here. First time 6 months (volunteering in one of the poorer schools), then a few weeks last August (2012) and just returned from 3 weeks in April/May 2013.
