"location is great. Not to far from the nightlife and beach. I liked the idea of the 2 pools. A quiet one where I can relax. The other was more of a party area which suited my younger friends. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable. The only fault I could pick with this hotel was that the Internet in the room was not good. I need to work online now and again which I could not do in the comfort of my room. I had to sit in the restaurant for a good signal when I needed to do work. I found this problem in most of the 4 star hotels in Bali. Apart from that I enjoyed my stay"

"AT first glance, the hotel has a very modern chic new look, a place for urbanites with a Starbucks right at the lobby. A great feature for those accustomed to their regular Joe's even away on vacation. The lobby/reception area is spacious unlike most Bali hotels, with a few helpdesk. However, the check-in was a bit slow (couldn't find my booking) but everything was sorted in the end. The room was a pleasant surprised, everything looks clean, crisp and modern, albeit the size a bit smaller than usual. Amenities are adequate, i especially like the ziplock bag with tooth brushes and 2 tubes of toothpaste, which i can reuse for future travels. WIFI was excellent in the room and generally the whole hotel. I managed to do my work without any interference. One qualm about the hotel though, some of the staff (bell & security) seems to practice double standards, favoring the foreigners and ignoring the Asians. This was tested twice when i tried to get a cab, the staff opted to help the foreigners first, even though i was first in line. "

"I never have a problem with this property or it’s staff, twice now in the past I have double booked by accident on Agoda and neither manggar nor Agoda have ever given me any grief, and as I’ve said countless times this is my place when I stay on Bali, if you are like me and want great value for your money look no further than “Manggar hotel Bali “ if you want to go else where rent a motor bike and explore out from here, google maps works great here and so does maps .m.e. Idk about apple maps even though I have an iPhone, because I’ve had an iPhone so long I remember when apple maps first started and they where really messed up so I count on google maps and it works great here!"

"Read some pretty negative feedbacks here on TripAdvisor on FuramaXclusive Ocean Beach. And to be honest, I was a tad hesitant at first to finalise my booking for my accommodation as I was travelling alone, but I booked furamaxclusive anyways.. and let me tell you, I have zero regrets doing so. I booked the one bedroom suite with furama in Bali and I had an excellent stay! Yes, there were some issues with the air conditioning towards the end of my stay, but the hotel bunked me up to a two bedroom suite so I won’t get stuffed up inside a warm room without any AC. The hotel tried to rectify the issue however due to rainy season and it was pouring outside, engineering couldn’t fix the AC in my room. Thank you front office manager Sumitra for assisting on this and ensuring I had a good sleep. Thank you engineering as well for your effort! On my last day in Bali, unfortunately I fell really sick and I had to make a call to front office in hopes to extend my check out time. Dayu a front office manager assisted so very kindly and extending my check out timing. I was literally throwing up all morning. Dayu didn’t just extend my check out time, she was so sweet to ensure that I reach the airport on time to catch my time, knowing that I was running late. She also helped to assist with my luggage and also checked on me to make sure I wasn’t stuck in the airport alone and that I managed to catch the plane and landed safely in Singapore. Thank you so much Dayu, I truly appreciate your assistance and concern. Do keep in. Touch as I will be back to Bali! Overall, some may say that furama may seem a bit dated with regards to exterior/interior of the hotel. But furama is situated right in front of the beach, stretch of bars/restaurants just minutes walk you will be spoilt by choice, mini marts is only one minute walk away, and best of all, the hotel staffs are the most genuine people there! Great service and great hospitality! Even the restaurant staffs are awesome folks! I "

"My wife & I stayed at the Eden Kuta Bali hotel and had an absolute wonderful experience!! For the money, it is the best deal on the island, we highly recommend this hotel. The staff was terrific, all seemed to speak very good English, certainly much better than our Indonesian. They were all very pleasant, and were very friendly and very helpful with whatever our needs were."

"After 35 visits to Bali and having run Hotels and restaurants for over 15 years I feel I am well able to give a proper review of facilites and what you get for your money in Bali. The Suka Beach Bungalows on Lembongan Island are new Lembongan Hut-style accomodation, angled and facing towards the beach. We booked the A/C suite but didn't turn it on once as the breezes and airflow was fine anyway, but as this is the closest one to the water didn't mind the extra cost to have totally uninterrupted views across to Sanur and Benoa Harbour at night time. There are currently 4 raised Huts with a downstairs outdoor bathroom setup (No Hot water but really it isn't needed) which is fine and the balcony and fixtures are great. Nice big comfy bed as well. Downstairs having your own daybed is a nice touch. Ketut and his lovely family are really good value. The brother apparently does massages but I never saw him do anything while I was there so can't comment on how good or otherwise they are. Ask Ketut if he can get any fish in (which he will if he doesn't already) for some of the best Bonito Tuna you'll ever eat. The rooms aren't serviced daily as these are low dollar accomodation but really a wonderful little find. There is a bit cheaper around but overall you won't regret paying and staying with Ketut and his family. TIPS: believe it or not but there is a Michelin 3 Hat Chef (the Highest rating you can get) on the Island (ask where is Indiana Restaurant)for one of the most memorable meals of your life: You do get what you pay for absolutely in life and this is a must do if you are into fine dining and a sunset to die for. Make sure you book or you will have to settle for a table further back (which is still lovely) but you'd regret it later if you didn't have the "Whole" experience. Five Star all the way.....amazing. "I was impressed with the cleanliness - it was spotless. In my 8 nights there I did not see a single mosquito or spider so I was pleased about that. The air conditioner was fantastic as was the free WiFi - either on my own device or the computer they have available for guests to use. The linen was completely changed every day - not just tidied up. The room had everything I needed - the safe was fantastic, and although the shower was small that is a minor thing, but I would advise taking your own shower gel as they supply soap. The staff were fantastic, they were friendly and helpful to the point of nothing being too much trouble. The pool was great - clean and cold. The food in the restaurant is really nice and reasonably priced - I heard the pasta on pasta night was the best pasta my family had ever eaten. The hotel has a money changer that is regularly on site and I would recommend using them instead of risking the local money changers. I was never interrupted by noise and enjoyed the range of TV channels available. The on-site spa has well priced treatments and were enjoyed. On the down side the towels were a little scratchy but that's minor. The hotel is a little difficult for drivers to access as the street is very narrow, but they managed. Everything I needed was close by the hotel - just across the road is a laundry, deli (for bottled water etc) Ted's bar. Just around the corner is Warung Kapung ( cheap yummy food - please try the Mie Goreng and fruit juice all up $2.50 AUD) and on the corner to the Warung is a shop run by an elderly gentleman who has great souvenirs at a really good price. I plan to stay at this hotel again when I go back to Bali later this year."

"This is set in the walled community that is Nusa Dua. The local shops are located just outside the gate and the tourist strip at Tangung Benoa is close by. One advantage is that nearly every restaurant we went to offered free transport to and from the hotel. There is also a shuttle to the shopping at Bali Collection. The room we had was absolutely fantastic. One of the best we have stayed in. The pool scene was quite lively with the obligatory swim-up bar. The breakfast buffet was quite pedestrian. A special mention to the staff at the customer relations desk in the lobby. They were more than helpful in arranging restaurant and transport bookings whether in the resort or outside in the town. They were also able to provide very good recommendations when we asked them. Because this is in a walled community, it is a bit of a walk to the shops unless you avail yourself of the free shuttle buses to Bali Connection or if you go to a restaurant that provides pick-up. "

"This place was insanely good value for money. It consists of four rooms around a lovely pool. The rooms were really nice and had all the facilities you could require. Not far from mushroom bay and most other places on the island. The people running this hotel were lovely, the young man works all through the day to make sure the place is clean and tidy. Little touches are what really makes this place though, from the mosquito coils placed on your patio and bathroom every evening to the turndown service for when you come home. Truly a 5-star experience for a very good price. The lady behind reception was incredibly friendly and helpful in arranging things on the island. Would happily come stay here again."

More about Bali

Bali is a world away from the rest of Indonesia, and a longtime favorite with international travelers. Surfers have been coming here since the 1930s, but it wasn't until the 1960s that surfing vacations to Bali became the popular thing to do. Today, the trend continues and Bali sees as many surfers as it does affluent resort tourists.

Indonesia may have the world's largest Muslim population, but Bali fosters its own distinct culture. Hinduism has flourished here for nearly 2,000 years. Away from the beaches are fascinating Hindu temples, cultural exhibitions, terraced rice fields, and colorful festivals.

Kuta is the busiest resort district in Bali, featuring some of the top luxury hotels in Bali. Behind the main waterfront is a spread of budget guesthouses that are still within easy walking distance of the beach. From here it's a short trip by taxi or rented motorbike to Uluwatu, a massive limestone peninsula jutting out in the sea. Tourists visit Uluwatu to see the temple, go surfing, or watch the sunset over the majestic cliffs.

Legian is another must-see, as it offers an excellent surf along with exciting nightlife along the beach. Life in Legian begins and ends on the beach. Surf shops give lessons by day, and then give way to lively bars and live music venues after sunset. There is a reason that Bali is often referred to as paradise, and much of it is evidenced by a visit to the many beaches.
