"The hotel is right on MIT campus, a 100 meters from the subway (T), but no noise. The location is perfect, if you want to use public transportation. There are also many good restaurants around, and you are just a few steps from the Charles river. Staff ranged from super friendly and helpful to completely unhelpful and awkward, although not disruptive. I was also disappointed that I expected a heated pool as stated by the description, but, according to staff: the pool was closed down years ago. That said, awesome gym, and great onsite restaurant. "

"We had a comfortable stay at the Royal Sonesta for 6 nights during the 4th of July holiday. The location was in a perfect spot, close enough to public transportation, a short distance from the center of the city, across a mall with a CVS and restaurants/food court. It is walking distance to the Museum of Science, and right off the Charles River where there is a path that is popular for biking, running, walking. It was a perfect place to travel with family pets. A parking garage is available but I don't believe it's guaranteed... we came back one night and it was full even though they were aware we had brought a vehicle. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend!"

"With Boston in the World Series, most hotels had boosted prices. It was difficult to find a hotel near Cambridge or Downtown for less than $300/night. Although I would have preferred to spend less for a 3.5 to 4.0-star hotel in West Cambridge, Freeport's prices were comparably reasonable in the context of demand. Frankly, my expectations weren't high, especially when my daughter, who lives in Somerville, hadn't heard of the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. When we drove up, she recognized it instantly. It was the perfect location for us, and only a walk into Harvard Square. Good facilities, friendly staff, very convenient shuttle services, and attached to a Starbucks. "

"The stay was awesome. Jimmie was there to help us check in and he's super friendly. There were 8 of us and we have 2 rooms each with 2 queen bed and it was the best stay over our whole trip. The bed was fluffy, the room and bathroom is super clean and though expecting to be cramped inside room for the 4 of us, we actually had a lot of space. The breakfast spree was unexpectedly nice. We all love the patties and eggs. There are yoghurt, pancake, waffle and also milk, coffee tea like the usual breakfast. Considering its affordable price, we didn't expect to get such an awesome stay. "
