Camiguin hotels & accommodations

The best hotel in camiguin (really the best every one in the island can tell you this) 5 stars resort with the nices staff ever! We stayed there for 5 magical nights, this place is so peacefall and relaxing, they have a sunset bar which you can see the amazing sunset of this island. We really recommend and hope to return to this great resort!

We stayed for 3 nights. We were a large group with kids. Booking with Agoda was quick and smooth. The resort itself is a dreamland. POSITIVES: 1. location- beach and swimming pool. In sight the white island. Backdraft the volcano. 2. swimming pool- facing the beach, cleaned daily. 3. rooms- spacious with no mosquitoes 4. restaurant- will cook your food for ...

The Resort is located five to ten minutes from Mambajao, the center of Camiguin, where numerous restaurants and souvenir shops can be found. It is also near the Sunken Cemetery, Walkway to the Old Volcano, Gui-ob Church Ruins and the jump-off point to the White Island. We were informed that the hotel started operations only in Jan. 2013, which meant that everything ...

The last time I was in Camiguin was probably 25 years ago... Its best to bring your car if you have a family as its more convenient to go place to place. Place location is absolutely great.... If you have kids with you, the place is great for kids since it has a pool... There are a lot of activity like cold spring / hot spring / falls and other scenic views you can ...

Pros: very helpful staff, quiet, suite is a large space. Good location for trips around the island and local restaurants Cons: like most of Camiguin, the beach is not (by Philippines standards) top quality. Basic housekeeping in the bathroom/room could be done on a daily basis. Rather slow service at breakfast - best to pre-order.

If you are looking for a decent, on-budget, peaceful place to stay in Camiguin, this is your fave pick. We didn't expect that we could spend a night in there, travel hours were underestimated. So we booked it through Agoda without any lavish expectations because the hotel cost cheap. Our group just needed a place to stay warm in the night. When we got there, I'm a bit ...

The name speaks for itself, as it nestled at the foot of Mt Hibok Hibok with spectacular view of the mountain & an elevated glimpse of the sea. Our recent stay with The View has been one of the best company outing accommodation we had in years. Value for money is a primary factor, given that we have limited budget at the same time a few heads to please. But almost ever...

This place reminds me of somewhere in Europe. This little boutique hotel with friendly staff and provide a butler in our room is a luxury experience for us. I highly recommend this place if you want a quite, away from the crowd kind of vacation. The view is worth a lot. Bintana Sa Paraiso is the best resort in Camiguin Island. Salamat sa Best Pancakes in Camiguin Islan...

There is no better value in Camiguin. Get a 3rd floor room and you can leave the door open and enjoy a cool seabreeze blowing through the room. Very friendly and accommodating staff, generous bacon portions with the American breakfast and the pool is flawless, you can swim for hours with no damage to your eyes and skin. Very romantic location to fall in love with your ...

do yourself a HUGE FAVOR and book this resort... We spent 7 days in Camiguin and this resort was only available during the first 4 nights, so we ended up visiting ~15 top rated resorts in Camiguin – and I can tell you that: Jerome’s place is BY FAR the best one there. First, he has only 3 villas in this little heaven he built there, and they are all very well designed ...

after a a few weeks travelling we lucked out and booked this place as we were a family group of 12 at Christmas time. There is a really friendly couple who run this place, and the English influence was a nice surprise, we genuinely had the best fish and chips we've had in ages - better than back home! they were flexible with breakfast needs and had a great select...

The hotel was a nice place to stay. It is very close to Yumbing and to the boat station that will take you to White Island. I highly recommend the place if you know how to drive a motorbike as getting to and from the hotel to other parts of Camiguin in the evening would be very difficult as there are no more motorelas after 7PM. The staff were very helpful and would a...

Guerrera maintains only 3 rooms so Mark and Chef Carmel's accommodation to guests are very personalized. We stayed in the only room that has a view of the sea so we sat at the porch and watched the sea during our free time. White Island seemed just a stone throw away from the porch. Also, having an authentic Asian Restaurant within the compound is very convenient. Yo...

Our stay at D&A was fantastic. The owners Dave and Annie did everything in their power to make us feel at home. We were given a free upgrade to a cottage on our arrival as we were the only guests there. The lagoon next to the hotel is up there with the best snorkelling on all of camiguin!! Best place to stay if you are not too rushed for time. If we ever return to cami...

The backpackers room is one of the best-value-for-money accommodations in Camiguin. The shared bathrooms are no hassle at all since only very few rooms share the bathrooms and they are always cleaned (bathrooms run regular water, no hot showers). Room price can't be beat and the rooms are directly by the beachfront! Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful! Make sure...

We are a young couple in mid twenties and we are moderately experienced in beach/island trips. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nypa in terms of the value, services, facilities. There are three bungalows, which is self-explanatory that there will be some small insects and gekkos. We found the bungalow acceptably clean and beds comfortable, with daily cleaning and hot ...

The location is really really good. Very near the airport. Just take a motorella ride from the airport to the market for 8 pesos and it's just walking distance from there, you can ask the locals for directions. The staff is accommodating and the best part is that early check in allowed. Two thumbs up! The room is not the best but it's not that bad. Just enough for what...

The place itself is beautiful and very spacious. Booked the studio type, room 9 with a double bed, kitchenette, fridge, couch, and bathroom. The location was around 5 minutes from the airport but accessible to everything else. Overall, can't complain about the place especially for the value. One disappointment was that our PAL flight got cancelled and couldn't make i...

It may feel like a long drive going there straight from Benoni Port, but you'll get used to it. Ate Mercel , the main caretaker of the cottages was very friendly, accommodating and helpful with everything. The rooms were exactly as advertised and were spotless. Hot water works fine. No cable channels and the pocket WIFI doesn't work. But we didn't mind because we got t...

The only down side with this place is that there's no signal(in case of emergency that you need to go to a hospital) and the location is on top of a mountain so you need to bring food. But other than that, it was a perfect place to unwind. The architectural design of the house was well thought of. They have a cat named gwapa, horse, chickens and 3 dogs and were all fri...

This is a relaxing place to stay in Camiguin with your family or group of friends --- excellent when it comes to cleanliness and amenities, with friendly staff. The owner of the place was very responsive to my queries even before I made my final booking. She also facilitated some of our requests like transportation within Camiguin (providing us also with a friendly ...

Of my month touring around the Philippines, the best accommodation I received was from the Yellow House. Nena and Manilyn truly went above and beyond to make my experience in Camiguin exceptional. The included breakfast was delicious and they also made me supper every night for a very resonable rate and I thoroughly enjoyed ever meal. Nena was wonderful at answering my...

We was booking this house for 3 nights and we really enjoy. The house is direct at the main streat so you can easy catch an ride and direct at the other streat side you can find mini store. The house is clean and you have a lot of space. The owner are really frendly and helpfull. Thanks for a nice time :)

Value for money 11/10 we stayed at the master bedroom! Location 8/10 it’s 10-15 mins from the airport via motorbike. Go home before 6pm, it gets real dark! I was scared as hell when we went home at around 7:30pm lol Cleanliness 10/10 the staff are there from 8-5 they’re constantly cleaning the place. Ask manong for brewed coffee! Staff 10/10 very accommodating! And hos...

Most stylish hotel in Camiguin. The island is beautiful and mostly untouched, so go now. This hotel might be the closest thing to world-class. Nice pool. Cool rooms, fairly alright service. Some mosquito problems at night. Food at resto can be hit or miss--stick to Filipino or Asian choices as Western offerings are not too well made. Still, a very good choice for Camig...

The staff was very attentive to our needs, particularly the owners who welcomed us like old friends. This is a place recommended for those who just want to experience peace and quiet in an island that is already very isolated and tranquil. The view from the hotel room points to the large lagoon that has facilities for paddle boats and kayaks (rarely busy) and a float...

Paguia's Cottages is one of the most affordable accommodation if you are on a budget but want comfortable and enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean and well maintained, relatively new. The hotel manager had let me check in early since the flight to Camiguin was also early in the morning. Also, the tour guide would offer you reasonable rates for your day tour depending on...

We were amazed that the room is spacious, clean, good air condition, very comfortable and soft bed for a very cheap price. The owner are very welcoming and helpful. They even let us check in earlier without additional charge and made us delicious breakfast upon arrival. Imagine we arrived there 7 am. They let us stay in their sala for the meanwhile while waiting for th...

Well first the bad (which was NOT the hotel's fault). The first night there was a island brownout which somewhat killed out first night, no aircon, tv, wifi. Next 2 days were awesome! My wife and I took a whole day island tour which we designed ourselves. The whole cost was only 1500 pesos which we got with a pre-arranged pick up and drop off to the airport. Teddy, the ...

The place is a little bit far from the center of camiguin. When we got there, the staff gave us the wrong room. They said that it is the only available room which is a 2 double bed room. I told them that I booked a room good for 5 and it was confirmed already. After few minutes of complaining, they led us to a room with 2 double bed and 1 single bed. The room was spaci...

Ma'am Malou and her team were very hospitable. We arrived at around 9am which was way before check-in time. They allowed us to occupy one room while preparing the family room (3 double beds) for us. Sheets and towels provided were clean and the wifi connection was good. Water was scarce though. I'd recommend the place since it's only walking distance from the jump off ...

This place is quite a way down a track off the main road but well worth it. We had a large cottage to ourselves and 5 metres away were steps leading down into the sea over sand making it very easy and nice to swim from. The cottage was large and clean and had a well kitted out kitchen where we cooked a couple of meals to eat on the veranda. The price is very reasonable...

We stayed here for two nights. The receptionists were not aware of our coming because they had not checked their e-mail. Luckily they had a free room for us. We rented a motorcycle so it was more convenient to go around the area, f.ex Katibawasan Falls and Sunken Cemetary. The White Island is straight in front of the hostel and you can get a boat ride there straight fr...

We had a wonderful experience staying at Hillltop, staff was very accomodating, discrete and nice. Breakfast is awesome, the bed very confortable. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit or stay in Camiguin. We would definitely book again at Hilltop if given a chance to come back on this nice and relaxing island !

If you are looking for a place near Benoni port, Algen’s is the best option! P1500 is their priciest room but they have smaller rooms and cheaper cottages right beside the beach. The deluxe room has a complimentary breakfast, a wide bed, an AC, a private bathroom, an electric water heater, utensils, towels, table and chairs, mirror and sink, and free soap and shampoo...

A place rich in natural wonders and friendly locals. I just hope they can maintain the cleanliness of the tourist spots and improve on the toilet / changing rooms (renovate and keep it clean).
Very clean. The people friendly and caring. Seems like crime rate is very low. A traffic violation due to no helmet to motorcycle riders or speeding and reckless driving would attract a big crowd of on lookers.
Camiguin is a laid back island. Lots of waterfalls and trips to the beach and neighboring islands. If you enjoy nature, you'll have it here.
The North part of the island is most accessible to the main attractions. Camiguin itself is now my favorite tourist spot in the Philippines.
Food is great. The water is clean. The beaches are nice. Look them up on youtube just to get a view of the island.
This place is slowly discovering the benefits of tourism. Its people are waking up to the potentials of tourism.
I went to Camiguin to hike Mt. Hibok-Hibok (1400msl). It is one of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines.
I found camiguin to be a nice quiet place to visit. We were there for 4 days and enjoyed the sights and sounds.
We enjoy our day tour around the Camiguin then we went island hopping to Matinque island. I would have love to go and see those volcanoes and camp along the way, This is somewhat not being explored much by tourist because of the road (i.
an island unlike any other in the philippines, small development has mantained a village feel all over the island which is a nice aspect in todays over developed tourist places.
Camiguin is difficult to reach if you are coming from Manila. Better take a flight from Cebu which will take you directly to Camiguin Island, in order to avoid the 3 hour land and 1.
Camiguin Island is a very remote place. Ideal for adventure-seekers who try to avoid many tourists. The island is no doubt beautiful!
many entertainments to do, but less sea food here, also expensive. you can spent more than one week to stay here.
many entertainments to do, but less sea food here, also expensive. you can spent more than one week to stay here.
Camiguin is an island formed and reformed by the volcanoes underneath it. It is proud of its white- sand- beaches, hot springs that are truly hot, cold springs that are truly cold and water falls.
Camiguin is a beautiful island with lots of natural things to see and do, waterfalls, hot springs, The White Island, so many things to see.
Not the easiest place to get to, but that probably adds to unspoilt nature of the island. Cebu Pacific fly in from Cebu 4 days a week otherwise you can get a ferry from Cagayan de Oro or Bohol on a daily basis.
The Hotel we stayed at several times is awesome Jet ski if you want. Scuba if so inclined fishing swimming in ocean or pool I like the Ferry best from Mindinao you can fly in from Cebu Island if you are there worth at least 2 days stay at Paras hotel food and cleanliness is perfect.
If you have time to spare, CDO is only a stone's throw away. OceanJet has daily ferry rides from Camiguin's Benoni Port to CDO's Macabalan Port.
Relaxed island where everything slows down a notch or two, great destination for sights and things to do, from the white island to the beatiful waterfalls and hot springs
Camiguin is very far from CDO airport so make sure you allot at least 5 hours travel time. There are plenty of activity in this island.
General public is warm and friendly. Problems come with those who provide transportation services. Most of them ask for way too much and if one is inexperienced with these situations, you tend to succumb to them, you'll end up spending too much because everything is atleast 1km away from each other.
cold springs, hot springs, hibok-hibok volcano, white island are the places to visit. For divers there are many good spots
The island of Camiguin is a little 'wonder'! For such a small place, it offers so much. Once there you can go to the Giant Clam Sanctuary, the Sunken Cemetary, there are a few waterfalls along the way but at the time of visitnig, they were constructing new roads therefore we could not reach them, there is the thermal hot springs and soda water pools and of course White island and Mantigue Islands.
Great places to see are the Mantigue Island, White Island, Katibawasan Falls, Ardent Hot Spring, Sunken Cemetery
Camiguin is a fantastic place for vacation - many natural attractions to enjoy and at the same time the serenity in the island gives you the perfect time for much needed relaxation.
this is the best island that i have been to in the philippines, very clean, no trash, not over crowded, amazing sites, the locals greet you with a "hello friend" you can walk down the street with no worry of danger.
Must see: - Katibawasan Falls for the excellent view and refreshing dip - White island for the white sand and snorkeling - Sto Nino cold springs - Ardent Hot Springs
like i said i was not able to go because of the typhoon and they would not refund my money or give me credit.
hire a multicab to help you get around camiguin. the usual rate for a multicab is 1500 to 1700 good for 8-10pax.
