Traveling to France? Find Cannes hotels

I was pleasantly surprised to choose hotel Le Canberra as my place of stay. Location The hotel is located on one of the main streets of Cannes, full of boutiques, supermarkets. Nearby is a 24-hour parking, which allows you to arrive at the hotel by car and not pay extortionate hotel prices (an average of 25 euros per night in any other hotel). Service. Professional and unobtrusive service I was very pleased. The staff throughout the hotel is polite and courteous. Upon check in, they asked me for a deposit card and only wrote down its number without debiting it, as in other hotels. This is a big plus. Interior. The hotel is modern and freshly renovated. The rooms are spacious, high-quality bathroom with expensive fixtures. The common areas are nicely located, there is a large terrace, a swimming pool and a quality restaurant. Boutique hotel. While traveling, I prefer small boutique hotels, as they have a special atmosphere and create the feeling “like at home”. I am pleased with my find

The hotel has a good location about 6-8 minutes from the beach. My room overlooking the outdoor pool was lovely. Clothes closet space was limited. The staff was very accommodating. The only negative was that I had to pay an additional city tax upon departure. It was not a large amount, but I thought the total bill had been prepaid. An unexpected plus was that there was a "Handy" smartphone available to me during my stay. This allowed me to make international phone calls without additional cost! Would defitnitely consider a return visit.

Awfull!! At checkin we were told our paid-2-months-in-advance reservations are not valid ! There were 2 adults and two kids, but apparently their hotel doesn’t allow this ! One parent and one child per room , only! Excuse me??? Our booking voucher clearly states 2 adults+2 kids, but the receptionists didn’t even want to look at our voucher ! Kept repeating “hotel policy is that 4 people have to take 2 rooms” First of all - no one ever told us this at the time of booking - even our confirmation email shows 2+2 . Secondly - 4 people?!? These are babies - 1 year old and 3 year old !!!! They require my bed (and we had our own portable crib !) and that’s all ! Even though in our confirmation email it says that we will get an additional cot !!! Hotel refused to acknowledge ANY OF THIS, claimed it was the mistake of Agoda.com through which we booked. Instead of being out on the streets of Cannes after traveling from Canada - we bit the bullet and paid for the second room ! But we will sue..

We were expecting a poor quality hotel given the price we paid, and also some of the reviews we had read after booking. But we were so impressed by the standard given how little we paid for the room! It was clean, tidy and spacious with air con, a safe, a mini fridge and hairdryer. Fresh daily towels and the comfiest pillows... we didn't want to leave. The reception staff booked us transport as soon as we phoned down to request them to do so. Yes, it's a 10-15 minute walk out to the centre but it was certainly no more than that. The walk would be be suitable if you struggle with mobility as it's up a hill (not a steep one), but taxis and buses are readily available. I would definitely go back, and would recommend this hotel to my friends. Given the price, I have no complaints or concerns at all. We had a fantastic holiday staying a clean and spacious room.

New hotel with comfortable rooms. We had two connected rooms for us with our 2 kids. Great location. 5 min walk from the croisette the hotel is 4 months old. We had an issue with the air conditioned in the room. Staff was very helpful bychanging the room and offering champagne and coke to apology for the inconvenient. Celine at the reception was a source of information to visit the area. She was so kind and helpful, it made our trip an adventure!

What an opportunity to attend the premiere of a film at the Cannes Film Festival. Eventually I found Hotel Cezanne which was an absolute gem - small only 28 rooms, all beautifully furnished, spacious and clean, and only 600 metres from the Croisette. OK so the cost was relatively high, but offset by the ambience, position and proximity to everything. There was no need for a taxi, only from Nice Airport which was only 25 minutes away. Thank you for a lovely stay, we'll be back!

the staff at this hotel are amazing! very friendly and super attentive. the hotel is only 2 years old and has some great art displayed throughout. everything is included and they will even arrange a bucket of ice to brought up to your room....on a tray....with a perfectly displayed napkin! great for in room wine and dining the staff are extremely knowledgeable about the whole cannes area and surrounds, plus public transport and the secret bus stop around the corner that's direct to nice airport. despite my room overlooking the train station, there is no noise after 10pm....no trains, no traffic, no people. there is a lovely patisserie on the corner (turn right as you exit the hotel) and a supermarket on the top floor of the c&a's (turn left as you exit the hotel). breakfast is a little more expensive that other hotels i stayed but they had scrambled eggs, toast & bacon along with the standard european continental options and a coffee machine that makes perfect cappuccinos.

this hotel was close to the station. the room was large with a good sized bathroom. the breakfast was all that we wanted. an iron and ironing board was provided. there was a safe that was free of charge.the staff were helpful and pleasant.it was less than ten mins walk down to the front. plenty of eating places around. this hotel all in all was excellent and we would go back. the only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities.

The night manager was terribly rude we booked online and paid by paypal and they made such a fuss about us not booking even when i had the proof. The room was shoddy with no tea or coffee facilities...no room service and o one wanted to assist at all. The staff besides that were lovely ... especially the bar manager in the morning who made the worlds best pina colada but the room was very over priced.

I arrived at the hotel early and was allowed into by room I also needed an adapter which the receptionist kindly loaned to me for the duration of my stay. The location was perfect for both shopping and strolling along the beach front. I would certainly recommend this hotel and will happily stay again when visiting Cannes. Thanks to all the staff for a very pleasant stay.

Cannes Palace is not a palace just yet! The Outside of the property is ok set two rows back from Le Croisette which is the main promenade in Cannes. The Reception, Bar and restaurant is newly restored modern and decorated tastefully. There is a sign on the wall in reception saying retoration project 2009 for the 5th and 6th floor rooms to be restored in line with the decor of the ground floor foyey.We stayed on the 3rd floor and it was like stepping back in time with the colour scheme and the decor.The bedroom was spacious and as we stayed in a family room it had two double beds.The bathroom comprising of bath/(shower on wall inside bath), double sink, mirror and 70's stle hairdryer attached to wall.Through a seperate door was a toilet. All I must say was CLEAN.We had a small balcony with 2 plastic chairs and a small plastic table.You could hear and see regular trains passing along (in line with the back of La Croisette road) when outside however because of the double sliding doors once you shut the inner door it was very well insulated you couldnt here a thing.We had a walk around and walked down to a typical french bar on the coener which did great coffee for a euro. They did not serve food until after 12 o'clock so we just had a croissant for 1.5 euro and watched the world go by.As we had two small children who dont get an appretite until midday that suited us fine to have a small bite and eat at one of the numerous restaurants on the croisette lunchtime.CANNES PALACE has a small roof top pool and sunbathing area but if you wanted beach you needed to walk down to the Croisette and slum it on the public beach, pay 7Euro's for a deck chair seat or pay 20 Euro per person per day for a private bed.THE DUNES is the beachfront restaurant/bar that has sunlounges set on the private beach and section of water.We paid for 3 beds between the four of us as our youngest sat on the sand making sand castles most of the time!We had some very nice meals at the Dunes during the da

Barbara, who worked behind the desk in early evening, was wonderful--so helpful and kind. She spoke excellent English and made a number of phone calls for us for cabs and take-out food. She recommended an outstanding restaurant, too. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and eager to assist. Breakfasts were quite good, especially the home-made brownies. We felt that our little apartment had a definite French flavor to it--not fancy but quite comfortable and pleasant. If I ever get back to Cannes, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

I have decided to stay in suites for second time already. First time I was searching for hotel just few days before MAPIC. This accomodation option was one of few still available with interesting rate and promissing comfort. This year I have returned even my rate doubled. It´s not really hotel, it´s apartment for rent. Location is excellent. If you take airport bus from Nice than it´s just 5 minutes walk from bus stop in Cannes. It´s easy to walk from this place to most of places in Cannes. It´s very close to exposition hall. That is why I wanted to stay again in this place. Apartment is simple. Kitchen is fully equiped and dishes are really clean. Rest of the apartment is in lets say acceptable cleanliness level. If you like to cook instead of going all the time to restaurants that this is good option. Carrefour supermarket is again in walking distance. I am spending most of the year in hotels and this was nice change. It´s really an apartment, not hotel. Therefore do not expect even soap in bathroom or daily clean up of your room. Cleaning is performed only every 7 days unless you pay extra for this service. It´s up to you to do dishes before check out and throw away garbage. So keep on mind to bring soap and shampoo, dishwasher tablets and detergent for dishes. Towel and toilet paper is available in apartment. Phone in the room serves only to call front desk. No other calls are allowed - not even toll free - which was a problem for me when I had to attend conference calls. Internet is working well but you can´t try to download any file otherwise connection automatically cuts off. TV channels are only in french, not even one in another language. The banket used in apartment is french style and it was sort of cold to me at night. Still there is something not easy to explain that makes me to like to stay in these apartments... Next year I might again return to this place.
