"We wanted to try a rustic experience by the river. They have bungalows built along a canal with a separate toilet and shower (hot water); It does really feel like you are sleeping outdoors; but we liked it. We could hear the chicken all night long - bring your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. We got picked up by a small boat - you can only get there by boat or scooter (so once you’re there your kind of stuck there until they ride you back on boat). We were welcomed by Lil, only one who speaks English, and she served us a nice dinner included in the price. Next morning they took us for a tour through the Cai Rang Floating Market then back for breakfast; they also lend bicycles. . What we did NOT like at all was the tour groups that stopped after 8 am, with large boats, family and kids - 20 or 30 people at a time, visiting the property and their fruit garden (walking by our bungalow); this completely ruined the experience and it suddenly looked like a tourist trap!"
