Hotel 115 is located in the center of city, 3 minutes away from a pedestrian area full of restaurants and cafes and has everything you need at a good price. The hotel is unique because it’s is part of a restoration project of Christchurch heritage light-rail. Basically, the hotel building is the old city light rail deposit, now converted to a covered shopping area with cafes, restaurants, tourist agencies and guess what... an active vintage light rail stop. Definitely something unexpected in the heart of Christchurch and a great stop for your photo memories and selfies. The comfort of the hotel is comparable to what the high end hotel chains offer and rooms are designed to give you a five star experience with high quality mattresses and linen. Bathroom are standard size and have a colorful touch. Staff is remarkable and ready to help you with your requests. Big plus is that the hotel has a big parking lot which is free after 5 pm until 9 am. The only minus is that I would improve the frigobar selection with local wines and some snacks.

Stayed in Christchurch for our last night in New Zealand. Stumbled upon southwark apartments while searching for accommodation in the city. It is one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed although quite compact the room features are your essentials. Could do with better sound insulation it's never nice to be woken up but someone else's baby crying at 6am. Other notable features are fast free internet and the best tv I've ever used outside my own home even compared to luxury hotels.

I stayed at a 8 people mixed pods for 2 nights, this is my first time to visit New Zealand, thanks Jucy Snooze gave me a very good first impression of NZ. Public area/kitchen/shower room/toilet are tidy and clean. Everyone has their own private pod and electronic locker down the pod, It's Autumn time, the fan in the pod is ternary form, a bit loud, if you are not pulling down the curtain to the end, it still cool and cozy. I arrive in Christchurch Airport around 00:30am, just went to exit number 7~8, pick up the free phone press 54, it'll dial to Jucy Snooze directly! The best thing is pickup for FREE, they will instruct you the wait point. From Jucy Snooze to Christchurch city centre take purple line only 20 minutes, you can purchase the ticket from bus driver, please note: CASH only.There are a lot restaurants nearby, walkable distance, plus a big supermarket 'Countdown'. Bringing up your own earplugs, this lovely accommodation is 24HRs check-in and out.

I stayed here because of an overnight layover, and picked this hotel because it is less than a five-minute walk to the airport. It is also next door to the Antarctic Research Centre. I got off the plane at 2:45, walked to the hotel, checked in, went to the room, and still had two hours to spend looking at penguins, etc. Dinner options are limited if you are on foot. There is a McDonald's down the road, or you could go to the airport. The restaurant in the hotel is your best bet though. I was initially annoyed to have to go there, or else schlep to McDonald's, but after the fact, I think I had one of the best meals I've ever had there. The venison was perfectly cooked and had a lovely juniper berry sauce. For dessert, I ordered a rhubarb-plum crumble that was almost as sublime as the venison. For both dishes, the flavors were complex, and plating and presentation was outstanding. You may think if you stay at this hotel you will have to go into downtown Christchurch for a good meal, but really, the meals I've had at hotel restaurants around Cathedral Square were not as good and much more expensive. The room was average-sized. The furnishings were somewhat above average, but not amazing, though the bed was comfortable. There was a fridge in the room with a wide range of complimentary teas, coffee, and hot chocolate mixes, but no alcoholic drinks. The toiletries were good quality. The room was quiet, despite being next to an airport. The hotel is currently (July 2015) under renovation. The front entrance is through a bright orange shipping container, which is quite off-putting. Some of the carpeting in the hallways was quite worn. To get to the elevator to my room, I had to go through the bar, the restaurant, and by the laundry room, which was open and had racks of sheets and towels out in the hallway. Another big negative was that you have to pay for Internet access. Not all travellers are on business expense accounts.

Three of us stayed here before we flew out of Christchurch in one of the two bedroom rooms for one night. The staff were really welcoming and so kind, they let us leave our bags before we checked in and after we checked out as we had a very late flight. The room was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. The only issue was that it took two times ($3 each time) in the dryer for our clothes and they still weren't dry but that's pretty common in commercial dryers I think so not a big deal! I'd definitely stay again!

BreakFree on Cashel well served our purpose to stay in Christchurch. We flied in and out from New Zealand via Christuchurch and we would like to have a clean place for the stopover. BreakFree on Cashel did a great job. The room is not big and it does not have kitchenware. But it has everything eles you need, including a mini bar and iron board. The room is very clean and the bed is also quite comfortable. The free wifi is 500MB per day. It is quite fast and can well serve your needs to get necessary information online. It is at the center of the city and near Re:Star Mall and Botanic Garden. We stayed twice in this place - 2 nights when we just landed in Christchurch and 1 night when we finished our journey in New Zealand and flied back from Christchurch.

There are so many hotels in Christchurch we felt it was a real lottery as to which one would serve us best. This one is slightly out of the centre but did not disappoint. The room was a good size with two armchairs and an occasional table, and the en suite had separate shower and bath. The bed was comfortable and big! The hotel has several different buildings but all are low rise and connected by corridors with access to splendid gardens. We used the free shuttle mini-bus to the city centre and were met to return as arranged. An early checkout and taxi were arranged without any fuss. Food in the restaurant was good and staff helpful and friendly. You might gather that we enjoyed ourselves in Christchurch!

We have stayed here 3 times and have been very happy on each occasion. We visited Christchurch before the earthquake and have returned every few years to follow the progress in the redevelopment of Christchurch and to support the City. The free transport provided to and from airport is convenient, hassle free and provided with a smile. We arrived late this time and was transported to the motel which allowed us to pick up our hired vehicle (closed by the time we arrived at Christchurch) the next day. We would definitely return again to stay at this motel. Highly recommended. See you guys in a few years time!!

The hotel location is really good, in the middle of the city just opposite the cathedral. Near shopping centre, you can just walk around to explore Christchurch and the good news is the Tram station is just around the corner, about 2 minutes walk. But there's something unexpected coming from the hotel at 6am in the morning during my stay, the fire alarm rang and there's an announcement to evacuate the building, so everyone run to the nearest fire exit and it just false alarm since there's no real fire in the building. Lately, I just found out from one of the hotel staffs that someone using the toaster in breakfast area improperly and somehow it trigger the fire alarm. I feel a bit upset, but grateful at the same time since nothing happened. In my opinion, hotel staff should make an apology to the hotel guests, but nothing come from them.

Don't believe the hype: Christchurch is not ready for tourists. It's a vast wasteland. We just stayed one night - flying straight in from Sydney - and hotfooted it towards Dunedin 24 hours later. The motel was a great introduction to New Zealand - clean, quiet and central. It's an easy drive from the airport (where customs/immigration was startlingly easy). My best memory of ChCh was Pedro's takeaways - the most amazing lamb you will ever eat in your life. It's a quick drive from the motel, grab a bottle of red wine next door to Pedro's, and bring it all back to the motel. Amazing. Beyond that, you can walk the few blocks to the Cathedral area for a quick look around. Even though this site makes it compulsory to recommend something about ChCh, I really wouldn't recommend it at the expense of extra time elsewhere.

Stay was perfect, great value for money, lovely rooms and fantastic staff. We were so pleased with the hotel we returned for our last night of stay on our NZ holiday! The only downside was the lack of free parking however I think this is common among most hotels in Christchurch city centre and a cheap alternative was available beside the hotel. Overall, I can't recommend Rendezvous highly enough.

Excellent service from staff Chloe from the front desk. She assisted in booking my tours and was so helpful and patient in teaching me the Christchurch city map. She patiently answered all our enquiries. Room was clean and they were generous with the complimentary cookie, chocolates, milk, tea and coffee. Bed was super comfortable, big tv screen, and with good toiletries. Excellent location right at the smack in the city, good for first comers. Nothing bad to say except for a lady, i think her name was Angela, a staff at the entrance desk. She looked very grouchy with a frown on her face, I smiled at her and asked her a question. She just pointed out without replying a word, I found her rude and unfriendly otherwise all staffs were friendly but my special heartfelt thanks to Chloe.

The Orari Bed & Breakfast is a real gem! Light and airy, and very spacious - very welcoming. The straff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfasts were amazing, a wonderful selection, and again, the staff were very efficient and helpful in making the breakfast times fun and enjoyable. The location of the hotel is great - right in the middle of most attractions, which are within walking distance. The room we had was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to visitors to Christchurch. Thank you for making our stay so special

Parking is expensive in New Zealand. Appreciate that each apartment has its own parking lot to save on parking fee. Also, it was very convenient to unload my luggage into the house since we can park directly outside the doorstep! House was clean and tidy, bed was very comfortable and I had a good night sleep. Location is just right outside city centre so at night the neighbourhood was very peaceful. Lovely stay, highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay right from the beginning where I was greeted by a lovely lady who was smiling from the moment I arrived, apologised for keeping me waiting as she showed another guest to their rooms & advise me of eating places I could walk to. They upgraded me to a one bedroom unit with a spa due to an error with another customers booking. The room was very clean, modern, spacious with everything you could need from your stay away from home. The apartements were in a very good area close to a major shopping mall, restaurants & takeaways that you could walk to if you didn't have a car. My only concern was that the Apartments were on a major road & I was woken in the morning from the noise of the traffic even though my room was facing north from the road & Iwas in a room near the back of the building. I wandered if they had double glazing as I couldn't even get back to sleep from the noise & this was at 6 am in the morning. Other then that I couldn't fault a thing with the place, I would stay again & recommend it to others in the future. Price wise I think it was a fair price if not a touch expensive but as there isn't many places in Christchurch now they can get away with charging the nightly rate, I just thought it was a bit expensive for a studio that was only 1 person but was happy to pay it for the upgrade I received!

Nice hotel in Christchurch. The best feature was the service. They go out of their way to make ones stay memorable. The only upper end hotel in all our travel around New Zealand that gave us unlimited free internet. They even gave free DVDs to watch in your room (room had a DVD player). Eating places (wide selection) is only a stones throw away. Go into Trip Advisor and see how many positive reccomendations are posted. Unbelievable.

We stayed one night and slept very well. Good kitchen and lounge area. Bathrooms everywhere but I always came to them when they were full, which was strange but walk to another corridor and success! Christchurch is still going through a fair bit of change but easy enough to walk around, 10-15min to worldwide. 10min to bus station to airport if you don't go the wrong way!! Beautiful city, would love to visit again and happily stay here again. The botanical gardens is a fantastic place to loose several hours too. We went both days we were there and saw new things every time! Will definitely be back again. Fallen for its artful character and quirky areas! Staff are great too, super friendly. We came early and couldn't check in but stored our luggage and even when we checked out the next day we still used kitchen and lounge area. Free wifi and quite a few other friendly travellers.

Stayed for 2 nights at the hotel, with my husband and parents. The location is very near to Christchurch main streets, CBD and next to Christchurch Casino. If you're hungry at night, you can always walk to the casino for late dim sum 😊. I booked 2 bedroom unit, it was spacious. The bedrooms are spacious. The master bedroom has ensuite bathroom, and the other bedroom has connecting door to the common bathroom, can consider that each room has its own bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, not soft but not too firm as well. It supports the spine and back well. Something that can be improved is the kitchen utensils cleanliness and completeness. Nothing else. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and it has free parking too inside the hotel and has direct access to hotel lift 😊. Definitely will return when in Christchurch.

This is the best hotel in Christchurch, I have stayed in 4 hotels in South Island and this is the best hotel and good value for money. The accommodation is fantanstic and beautifully decorated with all the modern aminities and facilities. The room is big and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything and huge dining area. The restaurant food is great and well presented , although they are very busy, Staff is friendly and good service. Definately recommend this hotel. The ground is spetacular and over looking the golf course, overall it is the best stay I had in NZ

The room appeared recently renovated. So everything looked new and clean. The fully-fitted kitchen was a surprise. It offered all the cooking utensils we needed. To have an extra heater in the bathroom is a great idea. We felt warm and cosy staying indoors. The owner couple was very kind, friendly and helpful. My family had such a great time. I will book this place again the next time I visit Christchurch.

Hotel is new. Hotel room is spacious and has mini-kitchen complete with cooking utensils, plates and cutlery, induction stove, dishwasher, microwave and mini-fridge. Even the bathroom has washing machine and dryer. Hotel is located near walking distance to Christchurch Central, providing easy access to supermarkets, tour sites and bus interchange. Good wifi connection. Nearby coffee shops and restaurants.
