The property is simply amazing. It keeps you hooked and entertained. Food spread is good. Happy hub (their games and entertainment center) is good place to chill out and have some fun time. Kids will really enjoy it. The only thing (though small) is the limited number of channels in the room which is a let down if you are staying for a longer time. There was no welcome drink for kids, again very small but basic thing missing. If you are in Coorg, stay here.

Our stay at the WindFlower Resort Coorg from Sep 18 to 20 proved striking and satiating on many counts. Being my maiden trip to India, my stay there helped ease and buffer the experience of a land full of enigma and intrigue. What struck us was the bona fide service from the staff members, consistently palpable throughout our 3-day stay. The ala carte meals, part of the package we signed up for proved enticing and toothsome although the switch to buffet meals due to corporate check-ins resulted in a compromise of sorts. The unencumbered WiFi is a big plus, considering Windflower's middle-of-nowhere location. Overall, this is a resort worth the long and arduous drive it demanded and one I’d recommend to those considering a visit to India.

This was a solo trip with my teenage son. Service: 5 stars- The staff are most helpful courteous and willing to go the extra mile to make your holiday memorable. They helped us with options for sightseeing and reccomendation for hiring a safe and comfortable taxi. When we enquired for a coffee plantation tour ( since we didn’t have our own vehicle) they took us on a guided tour of a nearby plantation (there is a nominal charge). Food: 5 stars- Each item we ordered was flavourful and was promptly served. On our second day it was pouring, and we ordered food in our room. It was neatly and promptly delivered ( although I anticipated a delay as the kitchen and rooms aren’t connected)!! Top marks to the chef and the service staff !! Location: It’s just off the main road yet neatly tucked away quiet haven. The greens and water bodies are very well maintained. The only (slight )negative is that one needs to have their own vehicle to get to nearby places else you book a taxi l.

My wife and I visited with our two kids and my in laws and had a wonderful time. They've streamlined their staff's requirement by keeping all meals and snacks at the common dining area which enjoys a beautiful view and has a small but very usable infinity pool. The food though ample was unfortunately not great. They offered a decent selection and tried to offer variety in cuisines but it was "mid budget wedding buffet" meal quality at best. If you like being close to nature and don't mind walking for a few minutes to get your meals, this place is wonderful indeed.

This place is just 3 to 4 mins walking distance from Coorg Bus stop and market area. It has all the facility you would need in a hotel . Its properly clean and well maintained . You cant expect a Resort sort of view and facility here . But yes , you wont feel bad about the place . Staffs out here are always available for any support . They provide basic south Indian breakfast . Trust me on this they make awesome desert . I would highly recommend this place .

Amanvana Luxury Spa Resort – Kushalnagar, Coorg. The Drive upto Coorg is fascinating. Here is rural India at is best, laid out amongst scenic hills, verdant valleys and green fields boasting of Coconuts, Pepper, Bananas and seasonal vegetables, interspersed with the quilt work like Paddy fields. If anything mars this beautiful drive, it is the badly potholed roads. A normal distance of two hours multiplies into 6 hours. It is a shame that the Karnataka government is so callous about this. Coorg itself is a large district. Don’t make the mistake of looking for any particular town named so. The first town you hit on the road is Medekeri and the road continues up the mountain and down till you hit Mysore District some 40 kilometers after Medekeri. The first sign that you are reaching are the beautiful large Blue and Yellow flowers which adorn the roadside, each tinkling in a happy welcome. Also on both sides of the road are the fragrant cocoa and coffee plantations. Strangely there are no signs on the road to direct you to the Amanvana Luxury Spa and Resort. As mile after mile rushes past, it leaves behind a sinking feeling. You seem to have passed most of the scenic spots on the road. Are you going to be in for an unpleasant surprise when you get to this Luxury resort? Close to Kushalnagar, the first sign indicating that the Amanvana is here jumps out at you and the turn off to the hotel is just a few meters away from the sign. Your fears vanish the moment the car crosses the barricaded entrance. Laid out before you are beautiful landscaped gardens which adorn both sides of the driveway, vegetable gardens, the now common pepper trees, the Coconut palms and other plants and fauna you have heard of but never seen before. The alerted staff, (from the barricaded door) are waiting for you with a welcome ambrosia, and a few minutes later you are whisked off down the well laid out walkway to your designated bungalow. The resort is located about 8 Kms from Madikeri and autorikshaws from madikeri bus station take you to the resort in Rs 200. The resort is picturesque and you can be welcomed by the loud chirping of cicadas in the daytime. Thick vegetation surrounds the villas - something which many hotels and homestays in the town cannot provide. The villa was spacious, clean and comfortable, the bathroom clean with running hot and cold water. The restaurant has a lodge type decor with wooden tables and benches. There is a small dip pool and steps lead to a burbling brook that runs alongside the property. The menu is limited but the dishes listed are tastefully prepared fresh. The housekeeping is excellent, and Ajay, a member of the service staff with an outstanding desire to be of assistance to the guests represents the friendly attitude of the staff. Whilst BSNL, Jio are available, there is no Vodafone/Idea connectivity. A lovely place for a short break with family.

The Deluxe AC room I booked was big and spacious with a small balcony open to greenery. Room has large king size bed, sofa set (one 3 seaters and 1 single seater) with a table. There few more furnitures, almirah, electric, kettle, TV, etc. Overall the facilities was very good and its clean. The room was prompt, we never had to wait much for anything we ordered in the room, room service was really good. Their restaurant serve good, tasty food and the complimentary breakfast was good too. We felt the À la carte menu which is being served in the room are expensive. Their Bar has good collection of liquor, wine and cocktails. Mocktails are okay. It is located in a nice, quite place with greenery all around. Also, its close (between 2 to 8 kms) to some of the famous tourists places in Madikeri (Mercara). Overall, we had good time in Hotel Coorg International-Mercara.

This is one place which will remain etched in my mind forever. Me, my wife and son stayed at Riyavar Luxury Homestay for four days during our week long Costal Karnataka road trip. It was an awesome experience that we will always cherish. We wish we should have stayed for few more days. Its located over 85 acre green and lush coffee plantation . Its secluded but at the same time very close to major Coorg/Medikeri. The rooms very tastefully done and have all the modern amenities. They extremely clean, neat and tidy. Hosts Shilpa and Vinay go way beyond to make sure you have a very comfortable stay and your every need is taken care of. Not just them but the very friendly staff of Shiv, Karthik and Gautham pamper you with their exemplary service. All the dishes be it vegetarian, chicken, fish, or pork were yummy and healthy. We got to taste authentic local Coorgi dishes along with the usual but flavourful food. I would strongly recommend this place to all for the next Coorg visit.

Nice and cozy homestay. Booked for this new year's stay. Owners are very accommodating, and any local tips are always available. Breakfast was sumptuous and filling. Thelma personally made coffee for us. Place is nice, clean and with most amenities you can expect at this pricepoint. The Bonus was a parking spot, a quite balcony with a swing, and a very quite neighbourhood. The owner is responsive on all platforms she has listed this place on, typically reply within hours. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a place for familystay in Madikeri.

Awesome Place for all. Wonderful place for kids and those who want to be kids, Rooms are clean and interiors are unbelievably done in an artistic way with jungle woods. Great place for a relaxing weekend. Room overlooks the swimming pool in the resort which is very well maintained. They have a Pool with a small Rain - dance and 2 water slides which is the center of attraction for all and we enjoyed it to the fullest. Manager, Mr. Nagendra is very co-operative and helped us in what so ever we requested. Wonderful staff, the best you can get. Evenings DJ music with bonfire in terracotta ambiance is just what you require for a peaceful evening....

Homely atmosphere...very good feeling...nice coffee, However, Bathroom - Jet pipe not comfirtable, only 1 mtrs. Its not reaching to the pot comfirtably..(It should be 1.5 mtrs). No shelfs / racks to keep clothes. No soap stand. Washbasin - very small, washing for only 1 hand (not comfirtable for both hands)....No mirror on the top...Mirror is near the entry door...so while shaving we need to run between mirror and washbasin Room - No cupboard/platform for keeping our bags/clothes General - when we asked then only we got soap, towel (initially only 1 soap & towel was given for 2 persons but after requesting then we got 2 each) For all 3 days we got only 1 and same towel...No change... For room cleaning/bedding we need to tell everyday

We stayed at Taj, Coorg for 3 nights. The property is so huge and so beautiful that one can easily enjoy inside the property. There are many activities to do. The restaurants are top class. The hospitality is over the top. All the staff from security, Reception, restaurants, housekeeping, activities - All are always on their toes to help the guests and make the stay comfortable. Ms.Lunia and Mr.Farookh from the front desk, Mr.Mahesh from housekeeping, Ms.Jyothi from the restaurant, Mr.Manager from F&B - deserves special mention. One of the best properties in India to stay. Highly recommended. One of the best hospitality experiences I have ever had.

The hotel is off SH88. Hardly any direction postings enroute. Can get lost.Hardly anyone frequents it. Isolated. Hardly any staff around. Lousy breakfast. Cramped up rooms. Only three rooms. Tiny TV. No UPS back up. Dirty swimming pool. Madikere about 17 Km away. Kushal nagar 15 Km away. No food joint close by. Can be avoided. However - if a family of six go there - they can have a private time- by themselves- that includes cooking for themselves too

We had a fantastic stay at Old Ken Estates! It's a lovely resort with 8 cottages. Each cottage is quite large with really nice bathrooms. The food was excellent. We particularly loved the south indian food and the Sunday night dinner and the bon fire following! The place is hidden away (a bit hard to find, but worth it!) in a beautiful forest/estate setting. Great place for a relaxing get away where you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy a good book. The lodge is great and has a pool table and a movie room- but we just enjoyed sitting on the terrace with our books and seeing the beautiful garden! We would recommend this hotel to anyone going to coorg!
