The heating in the room did not work (with Scottish minus temperatures outside)and the reminder of a prompt 11am checkout was robustly given. The traffic noise was very audible and disturbing. Nice friendly staff, clean and very large comfortable room. Never ate in restaurant, but it was busy and the food smelt delicious. Nice touch was plate of fresh fruit and toiletteries. Only downside was room was a bit noisy from outside traffic, due to being old building, windows were not double glazed.

The Grampian was a beautiful place to stay, and it fit all our needs and was easy to get to and was extremely accommodating. The rooms were so tastefully decorated and the bathroom was extremely nice. It had all the amenities without detracting from the beauty and expectations of the beautiful antiquity of such a wonderfully historic country! Loved it!
