"since the earthquake in jan 2012, it's really the only place to stay. the maria nina's inn on the ocean highway went out of business then, but this is a better room anyway, with actual hot water in the shower, and probably the best furnishings in town. the bed was a little hard, and they did not provide breakfast, but those were the only detractors on a wonderful stay. the air conditioner worked well, and after hours noise was minimal (which was a concern of mine since it's near city center). also, my feeling of security was very good there. guihulngan is a "college town" with two large and at least one smaller university, so if you're a single male traveler, you may want to pay a visit. their agoda listing that says they provide breakfast is in error. plan accordingly. hopefully they will fix that."
