Traveling to Philippines? Find Ilocos Norte hotels

We got sidetracked in Vigan during our trip to Ilocos and had to inform the hotel several times that we will be arriving late. Even before this, I have been calling for various reasons such as for possible trip packages around town and confirming our reservation. I am very glad the staff was very polite and answered all my questions. Upon arrival, we expected a modest, native style room (based on the picture they have in here) but we're welcomed to a very clean and modern room with enough space for us to roll around the floor. A big thumbs up for that. It's more of a small transient inn so don't expect restos and spa centers. You have to coordinate with the staff if you want to eat there. They'll be happy to serve you with smiles. In general, it was a happy trip and the hotel made it even better. If you want a quiet retreat after a busy tour around the city, come here. It's a definite recommendation for me :-)

Though great and modern hotels in saud beach are scarce, still you go there for the beach and location. so for a budget hotel this is already great. I do recommend that you just check in here if you just wanna spend time in the beach. after that if your gonna roam around ilocos you can check in somewhere else, since this is a bit far from many tourist spots in ilocos. Wifi is not great. But reception for data is still good. we never tried the food but they serve classic ilocos delicacies. if you are on a budget and looking for a place to sleep in saud. This is already great. if you don't mind having a few 2 minute walk to the beach.

We booked 2 Superior rooms. eaxh room good for 3 pax. we celebrated my bf's birthday in Ilocos Norte for the long weekend with fam. Part of the family are fur babies. We have 2 shih tzus and beagle. We made sure that we are responsible fur parents so we can come back. We had their cages/playpen our dogs can stay with us in our room Brandy the beagle wore a diaper coz she's not well trained. yep. our dogs stayed inside our rooms. how cool is that. Though we stayed for just a night we enjoyed our stay. If you have elderlies with you just make sure to call them and ask if they can assign you to 2nd level. That is what I forgot to do. Overall their facilities are okay. Each rooms have toiletries good for two. AC is very cold, hot and cold shower. no bidet tho. Ample supply of towels, personal ref, cable tv, complimentary pair of bottled water, 3in1coffee, bananas. They also have blow dryer. breakfast buffet for 3pax. Food is okay too, you can choose bet. fruit juice and unli coffee. Very thankful to this pet friendly hotel we are able to enjoy travelling with our beloved pets. Will surely recommend to other fur parents. Happy camper :)

Our visit to Laoag was made better by a stay at Casa de Renzo. We found a variety of good things there. Booking was easy with agoda and contact with the staff there was quick and easy using both facebook and telephone / text. We confirmed they still accept pets -- they do. The room was a satisfactory size and had a firm bed and good aircon. The location was excellent. The breakfast is excellent too! The bathrooms (not in-room, shared, but plenty of room) were clean and modern. A sign says eating in the room is not recommend. About pets: we ended up not bringing our doggie to Casa de Renza. It would have been okay, but the property is located downtown and there is not a decent patch of grass nearby, so going out for a dog walk in the middle of the night was avoided.

Great location on the beach. We spent most days exploring other areas in Ilocos Norte and came back for a late arvo swim at the beach. Food choices are limited and there are more options at other resorts along the beach. Our days were full of activities elsewhere and by the time we got back each day we just wanted to rest up and crash so accommodations were adequate for our purposes. Facilities to dry out swimming gear would have been useful as well.

We reserved a room for 8 persons but they upgraded us to a room for 10 persons as it was unavailable that time. The room that was given to us was clean, very spacious, hence convenient when you are traveling with kids and my mom and aunt. My eldest son loved the room so much because it being very big. The staff were very accommodating and courteous. The breakfast though should have featured more of their native dish like longganisang Vigan. But overall, it was an enjoyable stay especially if you are looking for a decent place to stay and you want to getthe mostvalue out of ur money. we will definitely come back again to this inn.

To sum it all up: PROS 1. Very near Laoag City Center - by car, it only takes 2 minutes to the city center (without traffic) - since tricycles are passing by the highway, it's pretty easy to commute from the hotel as well - all you have to do is walk 5 meters from the hotel to the highway. 2. Minimalist-modern design rooms - the room assigned to us was pretty new. We we're given the Triple Sharing room with an extra double bed so 5 of us could fit in. I have to commend the fixtures of their bathrooms as well as the aircondition and cable TV. I'm quite picky when it comes to bathrooms but I enjoyed their rain shower - I only wished there's a glass divider for the toilet but overall I'm satisfied. 3. Good size parking space - some rooms have their own private parking slot covered with curtains which I find really nice. We we're assigned to the outdoor parking but we're very much satisfied with it. Much better than other hotels who only offer street parking. 4. Reasonable rates - self-explanatory. Check out Laoag City Center hotel rooms for 5 people via Agoda/Booking.com and you'll know what I mean. CONS 1. Staff needs more training - since the hotel is pretty new, I have a feeling that the staff are still pretty much trying to find a way to smoothen out their operations. During one of the nights we stayed, they were fully booked but I heard other customers complaining about the lack of pillows and blankets. We always have these basic necessities in our car so we didn't have a problem but I totally understand that it should be at least mandatory for every room - especially if you have a head count of the people checking-in. 2. Jollibee breakfast - not that I hate Jollibee or anything but I just wished that they had a variety of options apart from the usual pancake/hotdog rice meal from Jollibee for breakfast. Also, on our 2nd day, we had problems with our breakfast - despite having told our orders the night before - yet the hotel staff

Went on a road trip with 2 girls friends, and initially we wanted to spend our first night in Ilocos in Laoag. However, we didn't find anything interesting (we wanted quaint, cozy and definitely not a convention-center sort of place). I'm glad we didn't limit ourselves to Laoag because Casa Dona Emilia met all our requirements! There's free parking in front, it's right next to a 7-11 and it's right across the Paoay church. Staff were very friendly. In fact, the driver that we hired for the sand dunes was the brother of one of the kitchen staff, and we had a great time! There isn't much night life or activity in Paoay itself, but we were actually looking for that kind of peace and quiet. At night, we stuffed ourselves silly with empanadas and other street food at the street behind the church and took in the wonderful views of the church in the night time. It's also very pretty at night and well-illuminated. I would recommend Casa Dona Emilia B&B for a quaint, boutique-hotel type of experience in a lovely quiet town!

I had enjoyed my two nights stay at Gertes Resort and Restaurant of beautiful Laoag City in Ilocos Norte. It has a cozy ambiance for people like us who love some peace and quiet...the staff were so cordial and its owner is so considerate when she moved us to a bigger room (Family Room)when she found that I brought my daughter with me and she offered it wholeheartedly with a very minimal charge because she told us that she can't bear seeing the three of us sleeping in just one bed (though the bed is big for the 3 of us). I had appreciated her kindness which made my daughter enjoyed such vacation. If I will visit again Laoag, I will have again Gertes as the place to stay.

Our stay was alright since it's only overnight. They reserved a room on the second floor but since my husband had difficulty going up the stairs, they readily transfered us on the ground floor. Only negative thing I noticed was the bed was sandy (maybe because this was not really the room intended for us) and the shower head only had a few holes working. Otherwise, our experience was okay.

Good thing since there are no other guest booked for those dates they gave us bigger room good for 10 pax on first floor. Real value for money. Friendly staff. Overall their facilities are okay. Each rooms have toiletries, AC is cold enougj for yhe room, hot and cold shower. no bidet tho. Ample supply of towels, personal ref, cable tv. they have their own resto and food is at a very reasonable price. Their food is okay too. Very thankful to this pet friendly hotel we are able to enjoy travelling with our beloved pets. Will surely recommend to other fur parents. Happy camper :)

we stayed for three nights at balay da blas and were quite satisfied with the service, location and room size. the hotel is away from downtown and the traffic of laoag city center, but the walk to attractions is only 15 minutes. the hotel was efficient in arranging a couple of full day, private tours for us, and all charges were consolidated on one bill. there is free wifi access, although as in most of the philippines the bandwidth is constrained, but we were able to handle e-mail and flight check-ins. since the property was patterned after a mexican hacienda, the eating area is a lovely patio in the courtyard. we would definitely stay here on future ilocos norte trips.

One thing I admire most of Tiffany Hotel is the honesty that their staff had shown. I left my necklace in the room which I didn't even know that I was not able to wear it before we left for a city tour. I was surprised when their staff handed to me upon our arrival. Overall, our stay at Tiffany Hotel was memorable and we will definitely come back and stay here again the next time we visit Ilocos Norte.

Overall stay was good. The place is new and can still have improvements along the way in terms of facilities and services (probably a shuttle from the bus station?). Staff are exceptionally friendly and very accommodating, so thumbs up for that. They also offer affordable van rentals for tours to Vigan and Pagudpud, which was a relief for us because we had a DIY trip. For our first day we opted for a tour in Vigan. Unfortunately the driver we had was very rude and did not communicate with us at all. For our tour to Pagudpud the next day, we requested a new driver. The staff were understanding and accommodated our request. The new driver was definitely better and friendlier.

I booked 2 Family Rooms for 2 nights - April 23-24, 2019. (1) Location is good, few minutes away to the City center if you're driving; (2) The staffs are helpful and courteous; (3) The pool is inviting for an early morning and night dip; (4) Rooms are the problem. The rooms we received when we checked-in are not anywhere near the pictures here in Agoda. We received the ugliest rooms - 114 and 211 (please take note of these room numbers). Ugh! The room smells like mud and soil, the wallpapers were torn, the flooring vinyl is uneven, there are smudges in the ceiling. Kakadiri. I wonder why they still give these rooms to guests. I requested to be transferred to an available room and they gave "the only available" room they said - a downgrade from what I booked. Its better looking but the lights are dimmed, there are mosquitoes (thanks to the invention of Off lotion!), and the bathroom smells like soil. It is very disappointing to realize that you were fooled by the pictures.

Guests' reviews matters. We were on a 7day roadtrip. When I was about to book a room for our Laoag-Paoay stay, it was between 2properties.Veranda Suites and the other one which is in the downtown area of Paoay. Before booking, I read all the recent reviews. Quiet place, hotel-like amenities and linens, professional and friendly staff.. Indeed it is! With a amazing view of Paoay lake from their restaurant. Highspeed internet and breakfast provided. We would definitely be back. And a big plus, they accept pets as long as ur furbaby is potty trained or will be wearing diaper within their premises. Thank u Veranda Suites team for making our stay truly memorable and relaxing. :) Tip: we booked our room thru Agoda. Best price plus additional 5% discount if u use ur BDO credit/debit card.

Okay for a short stay. Worth the money for booking a room. But the aircon is not cold enough, guess it’s on fan mode not considering the warm weather in Ilocos Norte. Hope they’ll improve the CR next time we visit, no mirror! Also, there weren’t enough ports, especially if you need to blow dry your hair or iron it and the port is very far from the mirror. So unhelpful for me esp I did my make up for my prenup’s last day. But will still come back next time since the prices for room is cheap compared to other hotels nearby.

When we arrived on May 19, 2018 at around 5pm, we were surprised that the staff dont know our advance reservation. They hold us for about 30 minutes at the lobby to verify our reservation. And they transfer us to another room that were not informing us in advance that the room we make on our reservation via online is not available. They allowed us to use the swimming pool but not the other facility and charged us for whatever in their. Its so disgusting that the pool is not quite clean. The staff was accommodating but my overall rating was it is not highly recommended because where not satisfied on our stay at Grand Octagon Resort at Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

Just as before, the staff at the Kingscourt go out of their way to make sure that your stay is as pleasant as possible. They really can't be faulted. If you are looking for a hotel in Laoag that presents reasonable standards of comfort with no pretence of luxury, but instead a friendly attitude, then the Kingscourt cannot be beaten. Of the three hotels in Laoag at which I have stayed, the Kingscourt wins on these parameters. Not as luxurious as the Java across the road, and not as close to the airport as the Northview, but fantastic value for your holiday buck
